Mission-06-Diplomacy with a side of assassination
By: Kira Phaserman Date: November 26, 2012, 3:57 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Kira sat back in her chair, in her office, on Starbase
Licentia. Six months had passed since she had returned from "the
dead" along with her Executive Officer and her new
       Daughter-in-law.
The wedding had been beautiful with Jazmyn, her eldest daughter,
had presided over the ceremony. It had been a family thing,
small, well relativity for the size of their family. Jenna had
worn a light pink colored dress, having said that white was for
virgins and she was nowhere near virgin material. She had tried
for Red but Lela had fought with her until it was agreed pink
would look best. Isabelle, her youngest grandchild had sat in
her lap during the ceremony at a healthy 6lbs 1oz she had been
dressed in a white frilly dress with a white bow in her hair.
Her eldest granddaughter had been the flower girl. It was kept
short and sweet the standered mushy vows written by bride and
groom. Kira had cried like a baby.
Now came the daunting task of deciding the fate of her
son-in-law and Thomas Westover. This was why she sat in her
office now, in her dress uniform they were awaiting her return
in the court room below. She got up and sighed and walked slowly
down she entered the room from the rear.
"Room Attention" one of the marine guards said.
Kira walked up and sat down Tom and Praxis sat on her right and
the prosecution on the left. "Please be seated" she said and
waited for the room to quiet down.
"Will the defendant’s please rise." Kira said and looked
directly at them. "After reviewing the evidence given to me by
this court I have no other choice... Lt. General Praxis
Hardfighter, I Herby find you guilty of dereliction of duty and
failure to report criminal acts. You are herby reduced to the
rank of Major General and sentenced to 1 year confinement to the
brig. However given recent circumstances the court has decided
that your time spent on house arrest will be taken into account
and you will be placed on probation for the remainder of your
sentence. Major General Hale will be your probation officer.
Colonel Thomas Westover, I Herby find you guilty of Conduct
unbecoming an officer, dereliction of duty, failure to report
criminal acts by your subordinates and desecration of enemy
bodies. You are Herby stripped of your brevet rank and your
current command. You are herby sentenced to 2 years in a penal
colony. However, because of a deal you made with Starfleet
Intelligence, you too will serve your time on probation; I
understand Major General Hale is your girlfriend so you will be
reporting to Brig. Daniel Hardfighter. This court is dismissed."
Kira said getting to her feet.
Kira walked down to the infirmary. "Hello? Doctor?" she called.
"Hello ma'am the Doctor just stepped out to make a house call,
Nurse Ann what can I help you with?"
"Well to be honest, I have been sick to my stomach all day, my
head hurts and it feels like someone twisted my insides into a
knot." Kira said letting Ann lead her to a bio bed.
"Well let's have a look and if it's anything serious I will call
the doc." Ann smiled and had Kira lay back on the bio bed.
"Well, why didn't you say you were pregnant dear" she said in a
motherly voice. "Looks here like the babies are alright hon,
heart beats look good, probably just hormones." Ann said looking
over the display. "I can call Doctor McQueen though if you would
       like?"
Kira sat up and looked at her with wide eyes. "You just said
babies’ right?" she asked almost dumb founded.
"Yes dear I did, wait you didn’t know? You’re about 7 weeks
along well that is by human standereds I suppose.” Ann looked
       puzzled.
“Wow, it only took 3 tries Abby was sure it would take more,
       Twins then?” Kira asked.
“Yes dear you were having problems getting pregnant?” Anna
       asked.
“No, I get pregnant if you look at me funny” Kira laughed, “I am
a surrogate mother for a friend of mine.”
“Well you better go tell the lucky parents they are getting a
       two-for-one.” Ann grinned.
“Oh I will, I can’t wait to see his face.” She returned the
grin. Kira hopped off the bed and requested the location of Mara
and Baj. They were in the bar on the station. Kira hunted them
down and came up between them. “So good news, I’m pregnant.
Better news, your having twins.” She laughed wickedly.
Mara shrieked with delight, “Omg that is wonderful Kira! Did you
hear that Baj twins!” she hugged Kira tightly.
       TAG BAJ
OOC: Alright little CD before we get to it. This is Gary's
mission so I am going to let him set it up the other thread is
       open till Wednesday.

Re: Mission-06-Diplomacy with a side of assassination
By: Gary Phaserman Date: November 28, 2012, 11:05 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Gary watched as the Valderan Cruiser was berthed in Starbase
Licentia alongside the Veroto. The ship's dark grey hull
glistened in the Starbase's internal lights, making the gold
gilding on her wings and nacelles stand out. This was no
       ordinary Cruiser.
Seeing the ship, Gary made his way to the lounge outside of
Terminal 6, where the Cruiser had docked. The name on the
display board identified the ship as HMS Vahljareich. The people
coming down the passageway, though, weren't Valderan Naval
Personnel. In fact, the group of eight people were wearing
ceremonial robes and full armor. Imperial Knights, Gary
realised. Their presence indicated the arrival of one, very
specific person: Gary's older brother, the Emperor himself.
The knights marched into the open lounge and stopped. Gary began
walking towards them when a security officer approached. He
talked for a moment, before the knights' formation opened. Into
the center of their group stepped the man known here as James
Phaserman, but known to the Galaxy as Krajur XVI. As they
approachged, Gary snapped to attention and saluted. "Your
Majesty, Welcome to the United Federation of Planets."
"Thank you, Leftenant Colonel." The Emperor's words had a drawl
not dissimilar to that of someone from the southern US states,
which made the words themselves sound somewhat odd.
"I presume you are here to see The Admiral?" Gary asked.
"No, actually it's you I need to see. I have a mission for you.
Is there somewhere we can talk?"
Twenty minutes later, Gary and his brother sat in a corner booth
in Mara's. The knights were still present, but had changed into
non-descript black duty uniforms, with sidearms. Danny hadn't
been willing to allow armed foriegn officers aboard until it had
been explained that they were the Emperor's body guards.
"A diplomatic mission?" Gary asked to make sure his ears weren't
failing him in his old age.
"Yes. The Klingons would like to renew the building contract we
had during the Dominion War. They have no shortage of available
warriors, but their shipbuilding can't keep up with war losses."
"Well that should be simple." Gary said.
"In theory. But there's other issues. I want you to negotiate
Right of Passage with the Federation for ships and weapons. The
Banor have cut the direct trade routes between Valderis and
       Qo'noS."
"Well that's fun." Gary said. "Where are negotiations
       happening?"
"Where else? Khitomer." The Emperor said.
"Okay. Any idea who I'll be meeting with?" Gary asked.
"Someone from the House of Prime. That's all I know. Appearently
that family has been appointed by Martok to represent the Empire
       in negotiations."
"I would have expected his wife, but okay. And for the Freddies?
       I can't negotiate both sides."
"No, of course not. Perhaps though Vice Admiral Frost might
       serve as the Federation delegate."
"Sounds reasonable. I'll have to have my Valderan uniform
       pressed, I suppose." Gary said.
"Yes, I suppose." The Emperor passed a padd across the table.
"Make sure it's up to date."
The Padd contained an executive order, authorising Major-General
Gary Phaserman, Valderan Royal Starfighter Reserve Forces, to be
promoted to the rank of Leftenant-General.
The Emperor returned to his ship, and Gary went to his quarters
to prepare his uniform. While John slept, Gary replicated a new
set of shoulder boards, these ones with more ornate, gilded
siver wings with three nine-pointed stars in a triangular
formation. Gary reconfigured his medals so his Valderan and
Federation medals were in proper order. Because the uniform was
a Valderan uniform, the Valderan medals took precidence.

Joseph had an almost permanent grin on his face for the past
week since the end of the wedding. With their child they
couldn't have a honeymoon which didn't bother him. He came back
from the station with a couple of bags in his hands. He called
out as he entered their quarters “I'm home Mrs. Frost.” laughing
some at the sound of it, glad it finally happened.
Jenna laughed "Yeah yeah I told you I am keeping my last name,
you could always change yours" she suggested.
He set the bags down and spoke “You won't even hyphenate the
name? Kilmore-Frost? I think that sounds good too babe.” He
walked over to her and leaned forward, kissing her forehead
       gently.
"I am partial to Kilmore had the name over 700 years" she
shrugged. "Anyway, baby is asleep. Got my orders to go back on
       duty"
He smiled softly as he spoke “That's great Jenna! I'm glad your
back to how you were my love.” He took her hand in to his and
kissed her hand gently. He then spoke “I picked up some stuff on
       the station.”
"Oh, what did you bring me?" She asked
He opened the bag and pulled it out. He then spoke “I happened
across an antiques dealer on Licentia and found this.” he opened
the box and showed her what was inside “Its twenty thousand
years old. It is an Andorian ritual dagger.”
"Nice" she glanced at it with a frown.
Joseph saw her reaction and spoke as he stood there, a little
flummoxed “Whats wrong? I thought you collected antique weaponry
       love?”
"I did... do.. it's just since the baby I have moved everything
into storage... I don't want it around until she is old enough
to understand the dangers of such weaponry. I mean really Joe
she is a baby, babies don't know better. What if she get's a
hold of something like that did you not take into account her
safety?" Jenna said crossing her arms over her chest.
He looked in to her eyes and nodded as he stood straighter.
Joseph spoke softly as he looked in to her eyes “I'm sorry... I
guess I wasn't thinking right.. Sorry.” he closed the box and
put it back in the bag, making sure to leave it out of
       Isabelle's reach.
"Thank you for the thought though." She said with a half smile.
       "Are you hungry?" she asked.
He nodded and spoke “I could eat.” grinning some. He pulled her
close for a moment before he spoke again “What are we having?”
"I got a little B+ in the fridge or we could have turkey
wraps." She said wrapping her arms around his neck.
Joseph wrapped his arms around her waist gently as he spoke
“How about turkey wraps with a little O+? I picked some up from
Licentia as well.” tapping the other bag with his toe.
"B+ tastes sweeter like a nice wine" she teased picking up the
second bag and taking it to the fridge to put the blood away.
"Besides I don't get B+ that often." she said putting the packs
in she had the fridge organized by blood type. Something that
would make most humans cringe but was a way of life for them.
He grinned and spoke “I'll bet that I know something that
tastes sweeter than B+...” as he walked over to her and handed
her the last bag of O+ from the cooler. He then spoke “Speaking
of blood....” he seemed hesitant on what he was about to say.
Jenna took the blood and put it in the fridge then grabbed two
of the B+ packs and handed him one. "What's on your mind pretty
boy?" she asked teasing him a little.
He smiled at her teasing as he balanced the pack in his hands.
He finally spoke “There is something I want to ask you... But
I'm not sure on how you will take it my t'-hy'-la...” speaking
in Vulcan with the last word.
"Joesph you are my husband, if I can give you something I will
freely ask your question." Jenna pursed her lips wishing she
       were a telepath like him
He looked in to her eyes and spoke “I want you to fully turn
me.... Being only a half vampire I will keep aging... Granted
slower than most others but I will keep aging... I said that I
will be with you forever and I meant it...”
Jenna paused for a second, "You want me to... well I..." she
walked over and sank down in the chair. "and if I kill you on
accident?" she said not looking at him mulling it over in her
       head.
He moved over to her and sat down in the chair after pulling it
in front of her. He took her hands in his as he spoke “I know
you won't. You can control your self I just know it my love.”
"You have more faith in me then I do. I don't know if I can...
I mean you are... intoxicating to me." she leaned forward and
pressed her face against his neck inhaling deeply.
He inhaled her scent gently, growling softly. He then whispered
to her “Jenna... I know you can. I love you and I know you can
       do it...”
Jenna sighed not even pulling away she let her fangs extend she
took his hands into hers and bit down into his neck sinking her
teeth into his jugular. It was the fastest way to drain a
victim. She pushed him back never breaking her grip on his neck
and pinned him to the ground. She was older and much stronger
then him partly because she was a full vampire.
He winced only slightly when he felt her fangs sink in and hit
his jugular vein. He didn't resist her as she laid him on the
ground. He felt as she drained his blood. It felt different to
him, his body feeling as though it was starting to shut down. He
growled gently as he lay there, making sure not to fight her
though he did speak “Jenna. Just remember what you're doing.”
Jenna didn't hear him, his blood was sweet on her tongue. She
suddenly pulled him up to half sitting and growled he was limp
in her arms and she had to fight to stop. He was weak and
slipping away from her she reached out and felt the bag under
her finger tips she pulled it close and grabbed the ancient
knife. No time to staralize it she moved her hair out of the way
and cut her neck then moved his head forward to the cut making
sure his lips touched the blood. "Drink or you die" she said a
little worried now that his eyes seemed to be closing.
He had been slipping away as she pulled him up, he was fighting
with everything he could to keep the black from enveloping him.
He tasted her blood on his lips and used what little strength he
had to latch on to her. He started to drink, slowly at first, as
the blood hit his system his strength returned to him. However
he was hit with a harder bloodlust as he sank his fangs in to
her neck. He started to drink her blood in earnest as he pulled
       her body closer.
Jenna didn't resist she let him drink knowing that he needed as
much as she could safely give him. Once she was sure he had
enough to complete the transfermation to full vampire she locked
her hands around his wrists and pushed him down against the
floor pinning him. She was breathing heavily as she looked at
him. "You've had enough, if you need more it's a pack for you."
she said keeping him restrained knowing what that first full
blood lust felt like after being transformed.
He resisted her as she pinned his arms to the floor. He growled
at her, his eyes wide and burning as he tried to fight her off.
He locked eyes on to hers, his eyes brighter than ever with his
new found full vampirsm. He spoke low as he stared at her
“Blood!” trying to lunge at her.
Jenna growled keeping his arms pinned in one of hers she
reached over and grabbed her discarded pack she bit it open and
dribbled a little in his open mouth. "Drink this or I keep you
pinned." she said holding it upright.
He lunged his head forward and grabbed the bag with his mouth,
sucking hard and draining the bag fast. He started to relax some
though he struggled a little more, wanting more blood.
"God I forgot how needy newborn vampires are, this was so
irresponsible of me." she frowned. "If I let you up to get you
more will you behave?" she asked.
He kept his eyes locked on to hers and nodded, his whole body
relaxing. He watched her as she released his arms. He sat up a
little, slowly as he looked around, feeling completely different
       now.
Jenna ran over to the fridge and grabbed him three packs of O+
and then hurried back over handing him one. She watched him for
a second, "how do you feel?" she asked cautiously.
He took the pack and sank his fangs in to it. He drank it
quickly, though slower than the last pack. After draining it he
locked his eyes on to hers as he spoke “Different... Everything
is different...” He looked around and spoke “I can't explain
       it...”
"I thought you had all the perks of being a vampire" she
studied him curiously. She picked up his discarded pack of B+
and bit into it drinking it.
He nodded and spoke “I did... But somehow this seems
different.. Before with my Kntarian hearing and my vampire
enhanced hearing I could hear what was going on in the rooms
adjacent to our quarters... Now? Its as though I can hear the
entire deck... The heartbeats.. What they are saying... Like
right now I hear Ensign Locarno and Ensign Woods together. It
sounds like they need a new bed.” as he bit in to his next blood
       pack innocently.
"You get used to it, eventually you will learn to... train
yourself not to eavesdrop." Jenna shrugged. Isabelle let out a
wail in her bedroom. "Duty calls" Jenna said finishing her blood
pack and heading into the babies room.
He nodded as he watched her. He finished his blood pack. He
stood up and threw the empty pack out. He walked to the baby's
room smiling some as he watched her as she took care of
Isabelle. He then spoke “She has your beauty you know...”
"Nah she looks more like you" Jenna said grabbing a bottle from
the mini fridge in the babies room with blood and breast milk,
Jenna had breast fed once been bit and decided it was safer and
much less painful on her nipples to pump.
He smiled some and walked over to her. He then spoke “Do you
think I could feed her Jenna?” Watching their daughter some. He
had been trying to be more active with their daughter than his
father had been with him in his first years.
Jenna looked over at him as if gauging how he was doing, "this
has blood in it... your a newborn vampire... I don't know if..."
she frowned "I can't read your mind.. I don't know how much
       control you will have..."
He looked in to her eyes and spoke “Trust me Jenna. I won't
steal from our daughter.” He stepped closer to her as he held
       his arms out for her.
Jenna hesitated then she sighed, "alright" she handed Isabelle
over to him but hovered close by watching him.
Joseph held their daughter and smiled some. He took the bottle
and started to feed her just like he had watched Jenna do. He
smiled at her as the little girl locked her eyes on to his. He
then whispered “Such a beautiful little girl...” he smiled as he
       finished feeding her.
"Yeah don't forget to burp her" Jenna said hovering near by.
He nodded and set the empty bottle down and picked up the burp
rag. He placed it over his shoulder and looked at her as he
placed their daughter up there. He then spoke “Like this?” her
head a little lower than it should be.
Jenna adjusted Isabelle a little, "Be careful you are probably
stronger now and don't realize it..."
He nodded and spoke as he looked at her “Perhaps you should do
this... I don't want to hurt her.” looking a little afraid now.

Jenna left Isabelle with the baby sitter and headed for her
office. It was the first day back on the job from maternity
leave and she was tried but glad to be back. Walking in she sat
at the desk in her office and leaned back closing her eyes.
After turning Joseph her head was swimming with the last person
she had changed, who had shown up by her bed in sickbay only
       months before.
Jenna opened her eyes, the small familiar face sat beside her
bed an anxious look plastered on her face. Jenna sighed, “Long
time no see Kelly, or do you prefer Ashlie Adams?”

“Ashlie, Ma'am.” Adams said, trying to be respectful, since
Jenna was an officer. “It's been, what? Nine years?” Ashlie
       asked.
“Something like that” Jenna said closing her eyes and wincing a
little she was still tired a sore from her ordeal. “I'm your
sire Ashlie, you may call me Jenna.”
“Sorry, Jenna...just, Last time we saw each other, I think we
were both civilians. And I wanted to apologize...If you had
       known I was under age.....”
“If I had known you were underage I would have escorted your ass
outta that bar. You lied to me.” Jenna growled.
“I'm sorry, Jenna. I was young, I was stupid...and looking for
some fun.” Ashlie put on her best smile.
“You call this fun? Kira and Jonathan bleed themselves damn near
dry to keep my ass strong enough to bare a child because of this
curse. You were way to young to be in that bar and way to young
to be turned. The fact that you lied to me cannot be excused it
was highly irresponsible and not only that dangerous as hell.
It's not fun Ashlie, I thought that when I turned you, you were
old enough to understand the implications that came with this
change.” Jenna said sitting up and locking eyes with Ashlie.
“I understood them, more or less. There's no excuse, but maybe
an explaination, if you'd like one. And, if not for you changing
me, I wouldn't be here. You think a 4'11”, 98 pound normal human
girl can hack special missions? Hell, most of the time my combat
gear weighs almost as much as I do. I know you're mad, Jenna,
but I'm doing something important, making a difference in the
       galaxy, BECAUSE of YOU.”
Jenna sighed and sat back her head ached, “I don't like being
used and that is exactly what you did... You singled me out and
you used me. I have known a few women your size that are human
and have gotten through just as well through hard work and
determination. I don't like being someones short cut”
“At fifteen, I didn't have a clue in hell what I wanted outside
of the next friday night. After the change, after I got myself
under control...I realised what I was doing. So, I walked into a
Starfleet recruiter's office. I told them I wanted to be a
Corpsman, because my mom is a nurse. The recruiters read my
medical records and suggested special operations. I didn't
intend to use this as a shortcut for anything. A night of fun,
an almost limitless life of youth, yes. Guilty.”
“and that is exactly why I should not have changed you... What
do you want from me Ashlie? Why are you here? You came here
       looking for something didn't you.”
“Actually, two things. First, I wanted to make sure you were
okay. You being my sire, to a certain extent you're like a
second mother, even if one of us regrets it. The second thing
was, I...I need some advice. You've got more experience in the
whole love thing than probably anyone I'd ever meet...” Ashlie's
voice trailed off. She really wasn't sure how to phrase what she
       wanted to ask.
“Wait... you think of me... as... well shit I guess I shouldn't
have slept with you then...” Jenna chuckled. “You need advice in
love huh? That hunky piece of man meat Colonel I take it? I saw
the way you were looking at him.”
“Yeah, that's the one. I...kinda sprung things on him last
minute, on our way in here to rescue you. Me getting stunned and
dragged off might not help me any, but...I've never really felt
this way about anyone. I've always...I guess, just kinda bounced
around. If someone was interesting, I'd go for it, but that's
it....this isn't like that..Part of me wants him physically, but
a bigger part of me wants more...alot more than just a night or
       a weekend or whatever...”
“Then honey grab it... look I have been married three times
about to tie the knot on number 4. I have been lucky yo find
love. If you love this guy then sieve it hes human you have
maybe 60 years with him before he dies unless he allows you to
change him. You're running out of time, go to him Ashlie, right
now and tell him what you want and how you feel. Human lives are
short, and this job likely will make that time shorter. If you
don't grab it now it could be to late.” Jenna said with a kindly
       smile.
“Okay,” Ashlie said, smiling. She stood up, ready to run down to
Ben's quarters then felt a shot of pain in her leg and another
in her back. “Ya know, somewhere along the lines, we couldn't
have come up with some way to do away with pain receptors?” She
       asked, jokingly.
“That honey would be highly stupid and you know it, pain lets us
know something is wrong.” Jenna said with a knowing smile. “Now
go, go get your man and fuck his brains out. One of us needs to
get laid and it aint gonna be me for the next 18 years.” Jenna
       winked.
Ashlie snapped to attention and saluted. “Aye Aye, Ma'am,” she
said, blew Jenna a kiss and was gone.

Danny collected the Officers of the Marine Detachment and
       gathered then for a briefing.
"We are reorganizing the unit, folks." Danny said. "Part of the
force is going to be merged with the Ships' security detail.
Those Marines will report to Commander Frost, as security
personnel. Two platoons will be available for expeditionary
forces, same as usual. Also, I am relinquishing overall command
of the Marine detachment, although the MARSOC Brigade Staff will
remain embarked. Given the number of senior officers already
assigned to the ship, I am removing myself from the chain of
command to reduce the chances of a major clusterfuck in the
event of further casualties, and since I am responsible for five
other commands NOT embarked aboard Veroto."
The officers mumbled a bit before Danny held up a hand.
       "Reynolds, front and center."
"Sir," the young officer said, "John Reynolds, reporting as
       ordered."
"Reynolds, I hereby promote you to the rank of Captain, with all
rights and privelages due your new rank. As your first act as a
Captain, you will take charge of Marine Security Company
       Veroto."
"Aye Aye, General." He said saluting.
"Report to Commander Frost when you have formed and briefed your
       company. Everyone is dismissed."

By: Mara Tellok Date: December 4, 2012, 12:45 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Baj stared at Kira, clearly trying to process this information.
He had his doubts about raising one child, now he was going to
have two? After a few seconds his face took on a suspicious
look, "You are joking right? This is a prank?" He looked between
       Mara and Kira expectantly.
"Nope, no joke. Just found out myself that I am pregnant with
twins. Isn't that wonderful?" Kira grinned.
Baj searched their faces for any sign of joking. When he found
none, he sat leaned back, reeling a little, "Yeah, wonderful..."
       He didn't exactly sound enthusiastic.
Mara moved over to her husband, "I know you weren't expecting
two babies but this is a blessing" she said gently.
Kira nodded, "She's right we wern't sure if it would work but it
did and you get two babies out of it."
Baj shook his head, "I know, you are both right, its just a
little... unexpected." He looked up at them, "I thought it was
going to take longer to work... I would have more time."
"It's been 6 months.. I was starting to lose hope..." Mara
       admitted.
"This is going to be interesting, I will speak with abby know
telling with all the complexities of the genetics this pregnancy
is going to be... well I don't know but according to the base
doctor I am 7 weeks the last attempt was 3 weeks ago... So
already the pregnancy is accelerated. You're running out of time
       Baj..."
Baj put his arm around Mara sympathetically and looked at Kira.
He nodded a little, trying to think. He had an overwhelming urge
to run to engineering, but he checked himself, "I will figure it
       out."
“You will have help, you know that. Even though Lela is leaving
tomorrow it doesn't mean that you wont still have support. We
are all a family a rather crazy unorthodox family but a family
non-the-less.” Kira smiled a little. “I will set up the
appointment and let you guys know so you can be there... oh and
one more thing.” Kira pulled something out of her pocket that
the doctor hand handed her before she left. “Your babies first
picture.” Kira said handing it to Baj.
He took the picture and looked at it. His gaze became a stare.
He tilted it a little so Mara could see it too. He didn't know
what to say as he stared at his two new children.
"Thank you Kira, I don't know how we could ever repay you for
your kindness." Mara said looking at the picture.
"forget it" Kira said then left.
“Hmm... you picked one hell of a woman all those years ago. I'm
glad you found her. What do you think they will look like?” Mara
asked looking again at the two distinctive blobs on the picture
that were just starting to take the form of life.
Baj nodded in agreement with his wife and looked back to the
picture, his face paling a little and his brow furrowing, "I
       hadn't really thought about that..."
“Green skin of course, I wonder about the forehead ridges
Klingons are stubborn that way... your nose for sure.” Mara said
       considering it.
Baj thought for a moment and shuddered a little, "I hope they
       get their looks from you."
“I don't know about that your a damn sexy man” she purred in his
       ear.
Baj stifled a chuckle and looked at Mara, "Is that so?"
“I wish you could see the way I see you” she said with a sigh to
       her husband.

       ---------------------------------------------------------
Kira walked in to their quarters, “Gary?” She said looking
       around, “Are you here?”
“Back here,” Gary called from the bedroom. He stepped out and
hung the uniform he had been working on up next to the door.
'Was that your brother I saw... here... and I didn't know
anything about it...” Kira frowned as she walked back towards
       the bedroom.
“Yeah.” Gary said with a smile. “He snuck out of the palace.
He's still on the station,” Gary said, pointing to the ship out
the window. “But he wanted to talk to me about something
delicate, and keep it kind of low key.”
“He's a damn head of state, I should have been informed that he
would be here, there are security protocols.. and red carpets...
and the like.” Kira said frustrated then she caught site of the
uniform he had hung up. “Okay, what the hell is going on... Your
brother shows up and you break that out, have something you need
to tell me? Going back to the dark side?”
“Red Carpet? That's exactly why he wanted to keep it low key.
When you're an emperor everything is formal this, red carpet
that.” Gary said shaking his head, glad it was his brother and
not him sitting under the sword of damoclese. “Anyway, there's a
diplomatic mission he wants me to take. Not a long term thing,
just negotiations between the Empire, the Freddies and the
       Klingons.”
“What? Why wasn't I informed about this? And if he wanted to
keep it low key he should have brought a smaller ship that thing
isn't exactly inconspicuous. Who is handling negotiations for
the Federation anyone I know? Where are the negotiations taking
       place?”
“He could have brought the Mauler.” Gary said, thinking about
the 2400 meter long battleship that was the flagship of the
Imperial fleet. “The Emperor requested Jon Frost to negotiate on
behalf of the Federation, and the location is Khitomer.”
“Fantastic, so I suppose I have to provide secuirty for the
Federation front, oh and by the way I'm pregnant.” she said
pinching the bridge of her nose.
“Well, yeah.” Gary said. “But the Klingons and Valderans will
also be providing security.” He said, then turned. “Wait, did
       you say....”
“Yeah, only took three tries and I didn't just get pregnant I
got pregnant with twins.” Kira said watching him for a second.
He had told her it was okay to do the surrogate thing but saying
it was okay and actually being okay with it were two different
things and he tended to be able to keep that shit to himself. It
was frustrating as hell that he was harder to read then most
given they had been together for 11 years.
“Twins?” Gary asked, surprised. “Have you told Mara and the
       Commodore?”
“Yes you should have seen the look on his face... oh wait” Kira
pulled out a holo camara “You can”
“Does he know you took a picture? It's illegal in several
hundred systems to secretly record people...” Gary said,
laughing at the expression on Baj's face.
“haha he didn't know at the time but Mara thought it was a great
idea she wants a copy to put in the baby book.” Kira grinned
wickedly. “Anyway, when do we leave?” she asked.
Gary looked up at the wall clock. “As soon as the Kritak enters
range. Appearently the Valderan State Department negotiated the
okay for the Kritak to cross Federation space to Khitomer, but
only under escort. They should be in range within six or eight
       hours.”
“Alright, gives me enough time to see Lela off and get the ship
resupplied. Will you be traveling with us or the Kritak?” she
asked sneaking past him to change into a clean uniform.
“I want to stay here, especially considering who's driving the
Kritak, but I fear I have to get brought up to speed on where we
stand, as far as the Empire is concerned. The Diplomatic
Officers will bring me up to speed.” Gary said.
“Just... well... keep her away from me.” Kira said glancing at
her now naked form in the mirror, “Do I already look pregnant?”
She asked moving her body this way and that.
Gary wrapped her up. “Not yet. But given the biological
uniqueness of the situation, I'd bet your showing before the
       Kritak pulls alongside.”
“Thanks dear, you really know how to romance a girl. I need to
get back to the bridge and make the arangments, brief Jonathan.
Cam will be his back up.” Kira said pulling on her uniform.
“I love you.” Gary said, sighing and pulling on a Valderan
uniform. “I might as well tag along.” He said, choosing a
Starfighter duty uniform, a simple pair of black pants, grey
high-collared shirt and a gray jacket, with the distinctive rank
insignia on the shoulder boards. The Starfleet commbadge looked
out of place on the uniform, below the sewn on wings and the
ironed on battletabs. “Shall we, love?”
“I love you too, if you say so.. Try not to scare the crew” she
       smiled and took his arm.

Danny looked at the face of his brother on the screen. "It's
been six months and you still don't have a division commander?"
"No. I'm running 1st Division right now. I can't repromote Tom,
Anya's busy, and I don't have any Colonels senior enough to
       promote."
"You could Brevit Mcqueen." Danny said.
"You know that's not gonna work. I need a mud Marine running
       this outfit."
Danny knew where Praxis was going. "No, I can't. Kira would have
both our asses if I walked into her office and told her I was
leaving. Bad enough I stepped aside as second officer. Man
       people are fuming around here."
"Okay. You're off the hook. But I need to know what's up with
the phantoms soon. I've got a big op coming up I need the
hitmen." Praxis said, pinching the bridge of his nose. "If you
happen to find an extra general laying around, by all means.."
"Will do. Merlin out." Danny cut the channel and sat back. The
MarSoc Brigade was requiring more and more attention, and 1SMU
kept finding problems. He wondered if Kira or Praxis ever
stressed this much running their far larger commands.

OOC: Krissy says hi, and sent us a post!
       Commanding Officer's Log,
       HVMS Kritak
       RADM Kirsta Fignarigto, commanding.
Admiral Fignarigto stepped onto the bridge of the Valderan
Cruiser Kritak. Unlike Federation ships, whose bridges were
large spaces with consoles for every ships' function, a Valderan
Warship's bridge was for navigation and communication. The
command chair sat forward and to port, while the Xo's chair sat
on the opposite side of the bridge. Large windows ran 270
degrees around the space. The after portion of the bridge had a
helm station, sensor station, and communications station. During
combat, however, the ship was directed from three decks below,
       in the Combat Direction Center.
"Admiral on the Bridge." The helmsman called.
"As you were. All hands to departure stations. Clear all
moorings and vestibules, secure the quarterdeck."
"Aye, Ma'am." The Cruiser's captain ordered. "Helm, 1/6th Astern
till we're clear, then come about on the Admiral's chosen
       heading."
"Astern one-sixth aye." The helmsman reported.
In the windows, the large space station shrank from view.
"Helm," the Admiral said "make your course O85 mark 013, Maximum
       warp."
"Admiral, that course will take us into Federation Space, very
near a major starbase..." The Captain said, concerned about a
       potential incident.
"We are on a diplomatic mission, Captain. We are to rondevous
with USS Veroto at that starbase."
"Aye, Ma'am". He said as the stars stretched into streaks. the
Admiral took the XO's seat, respecting the Captain's place on
his bridge, and lit a Kurji. She wasn't looking forward to
seeing her ex husband, and his new wife. Why, oh why, she
wondered, did his majesty choose her?

       HMV Kre'Gar
MuSha' sat at the private table reserved for the captain of the
vessel “Dear child, when will you call your mother?” she asked
for the 100th time in the two days since they had left their
       home world.
“Never lady grandmother, she wants nothing to do with me I want
nothing to do with her.” The half Klingon Captain respond.
“You dishonor your fathers memory, he loved your mother and you
should love her as well, she restored honor to our house.”
       MuSha' scolded.
       Kodon spat, “She abandoned me!”
“She did no such thing Kodon and I will not tolerate your
dishonor of your mother, just as well you will be seeing her
very soon like it or not”
“What?” Kodon stopped and stared at his grandmother.
“It doesn't matter Kodon, you will see your mother, she is a
very honorable woman. I look forward to meeting the rest of her
       family.”
“You mean the family she kept” Kodon growled.
“ENOUGH” MuSha' snapped, “Your mother never abandoned you, it
was your fathers wishes that you grow up in your Klingon
heritage, your mother honored his wishes. She may not be Klingon
but she has always respected our customs and she will always
remain a member of my house!”
“Yes lady grandmother.” Kodon said looking down.
