It's really the only non H&D specific reward you can grab, and
the benefits of the SP perks don't appeal to my character as
much as any of the other rewards really.

Shade does have a point, though. SP can be earned through having
a mecha at Value Limit.

Which is three levels away, not to mention that each mission
will give what, one to two SP?

I'll point out that by the time H&D starts I would have already
hit my RP limit. Also, we have no idea if the rate at which
we'll earn SP is going to be changed in the future.

damage caps and insane weapon specialization bonuses?
