I'm not on Facebook, so I couldn't see the article (I know, I'm
a dinosaur lol), but I found this article:

Looks like it could be fun.

In my less then humble opinion the only effective Super Hero
Summit will take place on line in a chat room with video and
audio features. Getting Real RLSH types all in to 1 place at 1
time is like trying to heard cats. In fact it would take a bunch
of such meetings to be effective and smooth out scheduling
conflicts, Real RLSH Types are too busy doing to screw around
with meetings. Any such meeting in the real world would just
look like a nerd COS play convention. Many Heroes have Secret
Identities for good reasons. The best way to have a Real world
mass meeting would be to getting together at a convention with
the COS players in a PVT room using the concept of "HIDE IN
PLAIN SIGHT" … At least that's how the Earth Agents do it. It's
worked well for us and we follow the idea of "If it's not broke
don't fix it.

I reckon this type of thing could have its uses, it's a chance
to push any message the heroes involved might have, if they're
activists like Ozone Man or Terrifica or Super Barrio, collect
donations for charities, maybe sell some merchandise.
Actual meetings where actions are planned and policies decided
are probably done, as you say, privately online, or if you have
enough local heroes to form a group or at least patrol together,
on the low-down behind closed doors like the Freemasons roll.
But as I see it the publicity is part of the cape deal,
otherwise everyone would be doing everything in plainclothes.
The private room at a con isn't a bad idea, I think I have a
document on public meetings, let me see...

I've thought more about it, and unless I somehow come across a
lot of money between now and then, I don't think I'll be going.
