Nightingale watched keenly as Trixie began shuffling, knowing
she'd have to change a different card into the seven of diamonds
in hope that it was the four of spades. Was it going to work?
She had no idea, but she had to hope for the best. The rock she
held in her magic rolled in her grasp slowly, an almost
subconscious illusion surrounding it as its surface undulated,
spiking out in purple crystals before sinking back into the
small rock. A hoof scuffed in the dirt beneath her as she
continued staring hard at the deck--only to grin and clop her
hooves together as the seven of diamonds was pulled, even though
she was sure that wasn't the card she wasn't casting an illusion
on. "Yeah! The seven of diamonds was it! Yay, Trixie!" Her gaze
flicked to the four of spades--the showing of the card only
confirming that she'd chosen wrong--but did her best not to pay
it much mind. Instead, trying to move the conversation along and
away from the second card, she asked, "How long're you gonna be
in Ponyville?" as she looked back up to the hatted mare with a
wide grin.

Trixie smiles as the filly moves the conversation forward,
shuffling the cards back into the deck and putting the deck back
into her hat. "A few days, Trixie needs to get the word out
about her upcoming show. Then, of course perform it."
Trixie pulls her hat forward with a hoof to mask the glowing of
her horn and shakes it, removing two bits from a pocket and
letting them fall into her other hoof. "Trixie will advertise by
doing small shows for tips so you'll see her around." She
pretends to snatch one of the bits away but instead levitates it
just behind the hoof that still has one. Her empty hoof hits the
ground fast enough that one wouldn't be able to confirm the coin
wasn't there. Just then she tosses the coin toward the filly, so
that it'd land in front of her, launching the other one with it.
"Of course, The Great and Powerful Trixie leaves tips when she
watches shows as well."

Nightingale's ears wriggled a bit at the bits produced by the
mare in front of her, both curious and excited to see what she'd
do with them. Her intent, starry-eyed gaze kept locked on the
two shiny coins, before a grin broke out on her face as the mare
made one of the coins disappear, hooves clopping together
again... though she blinked as first one coin was tossed over,
then the other as well. "Er... Huh? I didn't put on any show...
I haven't even showed you the spell I've been learning just to
impress you, in case I ever did meet you..." All the same, she
scooped both coins up and slipped them into the midnight blue
braids keeping her bangs tied on either side of her head.

"You wouldn't call your lights and song a show? If Trixie put
you on a stage and you repeated what drew her here, you'd fill
seats quite quickly." Trixie's mind churns for a moment, the
filly's skills are impressive, that last bit of those images in
the sky, and changing that card so perfectly. "In fact, The
Great and Powerful Trixie is willing to allow you to perform
whatever it is you saved for her, on stage, during her next
show."
Trixie nods, thinking this is what the filly would want, and
toting such talent as her pupil could even increase her own
fame.

Nightingale almost seemed to blush when she realized Trixie had
listened in on her song, and the illusions she'd cast. Mentally,
she kicked herself. If she knew, she'd have cast something so
much more interesting than the comet... The filly's breath
caught in her throat when Trixie followed it up with granting
her permission to perform on the mare's stage, her wide eyes
raising to her idol once more.
"Y...Y-you really mean it?" she asked, unable to stop her eyes
from watering a bit. "I-it... It was 'cause of you I started
casting illusions 'n' stuff..." A hoof rose, stubbornly wiping
her eyes dry with the back of it, almost as if scared to show
any weakness in front of Trixie. "I watched the show you did
when you first came to Ponyville... and I wanted to do
everything you did on the stage. Then next thing I know I've got
this awesome eye on my flank." Her side stuck enough, enough
that she could display the swirling, deadpan eye there. "Dunno
what it means, but I think it looks cool." She paused, looking
back to Trixie. "...Um... But yeah. If... you really mean it, I
could. I perform for ponies here all the time to make some extra
bits, so it's not like it's something I haven't done before."

"Of course! One such as yourself could take the stage in
Manehatten, Los Pegasus, and Canterlot in no time at all."
Trixie pats the filly on the head. "Just make sure not to
schedule your shows near Trixie's or you'll not get much
audience." She jests with a smirk.
Trixie's thinks back to that show, it wasn't her best
appearance, and that it inspired anypony seemed far-fetched.
"Trixie will look forward to including you in her show, do make
sure to practice in preparation." Trixie takes her cape and gem
in her magic, puts them together and onto her back.

Nightingale couldn't help but grin wide at the pat to her head,
enjoying the attention from her idol. "I practice lots and lots
every day, Trixie! It's the best way to pass the time. Some day
I'll be even half as good as you~." Nightingale watched the cape
being redrawn around Trixie's shoulders, the grin kept on her
face. "You know... If you need to spread word about you
performing... I could totally give you a hoof~! I mean... If
you'd like me to. I wouldn't mind the chance to spend some more
time with you." A hoof scuffed on the dirt beneath her as she
said those last words, her gaze having wandered as if trying not
to think about the possibility of being denied.

Trixie had been ready to set off and begin her advertising and
considers the filly's offer. "Well then, our morning will start
with hanging fliers, then once there's enough ponies awake and
about we'll do a street show." Trixie beckons the filly with a
hoof as she turns around. "We'll get the fliers from Trixie's
cart and spread them about. After that Trixie will get stuff for
some small tricks and set up wherever seems best."
Trixie begins the trot to her cart, expecting the filly to
follow.

The filly's head snapped up in excitement when Trixie gave the
go-ahead for Nightingale to come along with her. Giggling
happily, she trotted after the mare when she began walking away,
mind already racing at the possibilities before her. "Sounds
good, Trixie! Oh, this is gonna be so great~! And, I promise you
won't regret this at all! When we perform, just throw me
whatever comes to mind and I'll make sure I do you proud!" She
paused. "So... Um... I was wondering, if you might be able to
tell me about the time you put Ponyville in that bubble? I was
so mad I missed you then, 'cause I'd snuck out of Ponyville when
it all happened--and got locked out. I mean, not mad at you.
Just mad that I couldn't get to see you do your awesome magic
again."

Trixie's pace slows, she'd confided to Starlight Glimmer her
deeds that day, even Snips and Snails know firsthand. They all
know it was the influence of the Alicorn Amulet that made her go
so far, but would every fresh ear on the matter be so forgiving?
"Trixie..."
It occurred to her that the filly too would likely accept the
truth, but maybe it would sink in better by giving her time to
know the real Trixie. She adjusts her hat with a hoof and takes
a deep breath, returning to her normal pace. "It's quite the
tale. Thus it's not fit to be told in such circumstances. Trixie
will keep it in mind for when the time is right."
