Re: Early Birds

Fluttershy yawns again. "Oh goodness me. Good Morning Rainbow
Dash. Good Morning Applejack. I didn't get much sleep either
last night. The animal shelter was a mess and understaffed and I
was there until it was really late. On the way home I saw a poor
little deer that was about to cross the road and I made the
little one got across safe which took a little. I also had these
horrible nightmares."
Fluttershy reached into the basket to take out a pastry, but not
before pushing the hotdog out and just eating the crescent.

"Good morning! Heck yes I'm ready." She replied to Rainbow Dash
while waving to Applejack. "These look delicious. You are so
thoughtful Applejack." She took a bite before turning to
Fluttershy. "Strange. I had one too two days ago. I'm sure it
was the stress. This will hopefully give us all a much needed
break." She bent down to readjust her socks and boots.

By the time he had finished his light meal, Foxtrot could see
that quite the crowd was gathering. Some familiar faces of
course, and a few new ones as well. He holds back on taking the
food that was being offered. For now, it's just brew time. The
student does notice one of the girls devour one of those
crescent dogs. Huh, guess she missed a meal. Regardless, he
adjusts himself against his duffle bag and goes over his things.
Bag, check. Backpack, check. Homework, unfortunately here as
well. Black baseball cap, yup. Fully charged phone with
headphones and a new Playlist for the ride? Of course. All
that's left is to wait for the bus to show up.

Re: Early Birds
By: Rarity Date: October 9, 2016, 2:40 am
---------------------------------------------------------
"Ooohhh now you've gone and done it! First, you wake up late.
Then you forgot to pack your favorite sunhat and had to
reorganize your entire suitcase. And now I can't find my
phoooone!" Rarity blinks in a slight panic, glancing at the
clock on her nightstand which had failed to rouse her from her
sleep. 6:00 am, it glows, almost mocking the poor girl as she
zips across her room again. "Where is it where is it where is-
Aha! Next to my rack of hats, right where I left... it." Rarity
face-palms, rubbing the bridge of her nose as she carries her
phone with her into the bathroom and quickly tries to brush out
her hair. "Of all the worst possible days to be late, it had to
be this day. The girls are going to be mad at me for sure!" It
doesn't take long for Rarity to give up on styling her hair and
get dressed. With such little time to spare, she would rather
just take the brush with her and finish on the bus. Grumbling,
Rarity slips on something easy- her shirt from last year's trip
and a pair of denim shorts- and runs through her room one more
time before grabbing her gem, her hair pin, and her golden
bracelets before running out the door, suitcase in hand.
Although she gets a nice running start, Rarity eventually slows
down to a brisk walk, reluctant to overexert herself just for
the sake of brevity. What if she broke into a sweat? Her long
soak in the bathtub the night before would have been for naught,
and she would much rather keep her cleanliness, well... clean...
For as long as possible, really. While the camp was good fun and
all with her friends, it was lacking particular luxuries that
she probably wouldn't see until she returned. Besides, she
didn't live that far from the school, anyways. Before long, the
growing group of students were in sight, and her hair still
looked terrible... With a long, drawn out sigh, Rarity pushes
her way through most of the students, giving a silent nod to
Octavia as she approaches her friends. Well, most of them, that
is.
"Why must all these school events start sooo early? It's hard
enough getting up at seven for class, and I need my beauty
sleep." Rarity frowns, looking down at Trixie with a curious
quirk, stomach grumbling just from the smell of the food she
held. Very un-lady like... But at this point, she's going to
take what she gets. "Where... Where did you get that?" No sooner
than when she asked, she saw the box, nearly bowling Trixie over
as she snags one up for herself. "Ooh! Sorry, dear, I haven't
eaten all morning. I must have gotten carried away." She giggles
softly, reaching down to help Trixie back up before returning
her attention to her friends, taking a big bite out of the
croissant. "So is everybody ready for the trip? How exciting do
you think-- Oh my, these are marvelous darling!~" Rarity doesn't
even finish the thought, but she probably didn't have to.
Instead, she busies herself with eating.

Finishing the last of his meal and throwing it away, he notices
that there are quite a number of people arriving, and it wasn't
even close until the bus had come. He knew next to no one here,
only able to identify a select few based off memory from
yesterday and the 'cutie marks' located somewhere on each
student. Even when they weren't in uniform, most, if not all of
them had some image of what he can only assume to be their cutie
mark somewhere on them, whether it be as a tattoo, a patch, on a
shirt, on earrings, or anywhere else.
'Lets see, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, Trixie,
Octavia...' he thinks to himself, scanning the area and trying
to guess names. On Octavia, he notices that Octavia is sitting
off by herself on a bench. Getting up, he walks past the
gathering crowd getting food, and takes a seat at the bench next
to Octavia. *yawn* "Good morning Octavia, I see you're here
early. Are you ready to go to camp?" he asks. *sigh* 'Small talk
is never easy. Give me something about military and I'll talk
for hours. Making small talk like asking about someone's life,
our talking about the weather, I can't do that! Act cool
Broadshield, you have a mission, you can't blow it.' he thinks
to himself.

Octavia continues drinking her tea, nodding to Rarity as she
walks by, not exactly looking her best. 'I guess mornings aren't
her thing huh?' she thinks to herself as she continues drinking.
Eventually she sees Broadshield from yesterday walk up to her.
"Good morning to you Broadshield. I'm definitely tired, but I'm
ready to go to camp." she says. 'Broadshield going to a camp is
one thing, but initiating a conversation? That's not like him at
all. Where did he get all of this confidence?' she thinks to
herself.

Rainbow Dash looks around at the number of students here, there
were a lot, and more were coming, more than last time. She also
says her hellos to Applejack and Rarity as they arrive, not
saying anything to Trixie as she shows up. "I guess you girls
had a rough night. Thankfully I didn't, otherwise I might've
missed the bus." she says. Seeing both of the crescent dogs, she
picks up two and starts eating one. "Mmm, thanks for the food
AJ, its delicious." she says, continuing to eat.

Re: Early Birds
By: Sona Nocturne Date: October 9, 2016, 5:33 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Sona approached the quickly growing crowd with apprehension. Oh,
why couldn’t her father continue homeschooling her? She knew she
should be grateful that her father was able to convince
Principal Celestia to let Sona go on the Camp Everfree before
she had started her schooling at Canterlot High. Sona had been
adamant against going to begin with, but when her father tiredly
reminded her that she would have to meet her new classmates
sometime, and it would be a lot easier to do in a recreational
setting than jumping right into public school, Sona agreed to
behave herself. Not that she didn’t normally. She never stayed
out late, never got involved with boys, and was a dedicated
homeschooled student. The first two probably had to do with the
fact that she didn’t have any friends to begin with, but Sona
tried not to think about that fact.
As she reached the edge of the crowd, she kept her eyes down on
the scuffed toes of her shoes, tugging on the hem of her
secondhand black shirt nervously. Her face, however, was
expressionless. She had gotten good at this lack of expression
at the few social gatherings she’d been to. Her stomach suddenly
let out an audible growl, and Sona glanced at it before rubbing
her eyes tiredly. Why couldn’t they have food here? She glanced
around without much hope, before catching sight of the box
Applejack had set out. She rushed towards it, knocking a couple
people aside and mumbling “Sorry…” before she reached it and
quickly snatched up a crescent. “Thanks,” she said quietly, to
no one in particular. As she ate, she became slightly more
relaxed and looked around more. Catching sight of a kind-looking
girl with pink hair, Sona naturally gravitated to stand beside
her as she ate silently.

---------------------------------------------------------
"Now now, there's enough for everybody. Just come by one at a
time, ya'll. No need for pushin' or shovin'." Applejack couldn't
help but grin as she kneels down to start passing out her
croissants, trying to make the process a little bit easier for
everybody that was coming through. She backs off, however, as
Trixie tumbles her way through the crowd to snatch up a treat,
soon followed by Rarity and a few other students. "Aw, you're
welcome, Trix. You didn't have anythin' before ya came over?"
She tilts her head with a friendly smirk, passing her gaze over
to Rarity with a wave. "Thank ya kindly, Rarity. I didn't really
sleep all that well, so I decided to make breakfast for y'all."
It seems just about everybody was running late due to lack of
sleep, or oversleeping, in some cases. That being said, 'running
late' didn't have very much meaning if the bus hadn't even shown
up yet. Applejack then turns her attention to Carrie, prompting
her to take a couple croissants if she desired, but what really
caught her eye was the most recent addition to the crowd; a shy,
soft-spoken girl who seemed to settle herself down around
Fluttershy. She gives another friendly wave, stepping back up to
resume helping passing out breakfast. "Sunset is right... All
them nightmares are probably just from stress, and I've had a
couple myself... I mean, how many tests did we have this past
week?"

"I hope that's what it is." Fluttershy answered Applejack and
Sunset. She glanced at Sona whom she had never seen before but
quickly returned back to her breakfast. Suddenly a bird
fluttered over to her shoulder.
"Aww are you hungry little fella? Here you go." Fluttershy
ripped off a piece of the crescent and held it to the bird who
gladly took it and chirped back at her. "Hm? Oh my friend
Applejack made it. Isn't she kind? Oh, well we are going to Camp
Everfree. Oh I'll be sure to tell your friends that you said
hi." The bird chirped a few more times before flying away.
