Ivory simply watches as Sona takes her leave, frowning a bit as
a look of confusion plays at her features. Perhaps the Unicorn
wasn't quite all that social, all things considered up to that
point. And perhaps whatever she was planning at Los Pegasus was
indeed pressing... But leaving before having her food delivered
after commenting that she'd been hungry? Hmm... The Noctral
didn't seem to think on it for too long, though, as her thoughts
move back to the conversation at hoof. "Ooh~ Now that's a title!
Claire, the first griffon in space! That's exciting just
thinking about it. You seem to be fit and smart enough; I bet
you could do it in no time.~" Ivory giggles, nibbling on her
bowl as she turns it clockwise all the way around. "As far as
your question, Star," she says in between nibbles and sips of
her coffee, making the same scrunched up face every time she
did. "While I would love to be an astronaut of some sorts, I
know I'm not built for that kind of thing... If the Lunar Guard
physical exams were anything to go by, the EASEA would probably
flip me on my head and swing me by the tail out the door. Not
that I really mind, though." The mare pauses for a moment,
thinking about Star's question in earnest. "I would love to be a
full time performer. Travel the world and meet new friends.
Nothing against the Lunar Guard, but my obligations remain
there, at least for the foreseeable future. I'm good at what I
do, and my sisters count on me as much as I count on them."

Star frowned some as Sona abruptly up and left, watching the
mare go with a faint sigh. However, shaking her head, she turned
her attention back to the two still at the table, offering them
both a warm smile. The smile that seemed to just come so easily
to her face... Her ears perked as Ivory addressed her, listening
intently to what the noctral said. Full-time performer... She
about guessed as much. She felt a faint tingling at her flank,
but she realized that there wasn't much she'd be able to do to
to help the mare achieve that dream, at least not while she had
those obligations with the Lunar Guard. "That sounds like a
lovely dream, dear," Star said, nodding some in approval. "Maybe
some day, if you ever wind up not needing to work for the Lunar
Guard, I might be able to help you."
With that, Star set to nibbling at her salad again,
concentrating more on it than anything else. IT wasn't long
before the whole bowl was devoured, and Star sat back a moment,
apparently pleased. However, she soon hopped up onto her hooves,
lifting her suitcase on her back. "I'm going to go warm up a
little bit in the lounge while you finish eating, Ivory~," Star
chirped, smiling to the noctral, then to Claire, before moving
over to the other side of the tavern. Once there, she did a few
vocal exercises to warm her voice up--before singing quietly in
Prench.

Claire giggled at Ivory. She was brought back to reality...
There was no chance that she would ever be hired after the
fiasco at Canterlot. Claire wiped her beak after finishing her
meal. "Well... I really appreciate the meal.... Like a lot
seriously... I haven't eaten much all week. I got to get going
though, it's really late and I... need to um what did I say...
oh right train! I'm sure we'll run into each other sometime
soon." She waved at Star to signal she was leaving before
opening the doors and heading back into the night.

Ivory blinks, puzzled as Claire practically hops up and heads
out after a brief word of thanks. Train? This late at night?
Ivory blinks again, finishing up her cup of coffee before
wriggling out of her seat. Perhaps it was just a Griffon thing
she didn't know about, considering she's never really gotten to
know one. Still, she found it quite odd... The Noctral joins
Star soon enough, quietly trotting up to the Pegasus as she
studies the would-be audience. Despite the time, the inn seemed
to grow even busier. More and more ponies lined up at the bar,
drifting to and fro between upstairs and the dining area. The
lounge itself seemed to fill up, too, although nopony was
particularly paying attention to the Pegasus singing softly to
herself. Most were busy reading into their hands of poker, or
the occasional blackjack, scratching their heads as they play
out their winnings and total their losses. As soon as Ivory
joins the mare, however, hushed whispers seems to roll
throughout the establishment. "It seems it's just us now, Star,"
she grins, pulling a chair up with her.

Star blinked as Claire up and hurriedly left, almost as quickly
as Sona had. She watched the doorway for a moment before
shrugging her shoulders faintly and carrying on, passing time
until, eventually, Ivory moved over towards the lounge to join
her. The pegasus smiled warmly to the noctral in greeting, and
gently leaned against the chair that had been pulled up. "I
suppose so... They'll miss the song, but I guess that's on them.
I'll go ahead and start us off, sweetie," Star said with a wink
before taking a deep breath, and singing, loud enough to carry
through the whole tavern.
"♪I'm gonna siiing, 'til my face turns blue... I'll sing
loud enough to go through... the mountains to you.♪" Her
head swayed softly as her voice sounded through the building,
eyes closing as she concentrated on the words. "♪I'm gonna
dance when the music stops... when soft hearts, they can't sit
still. Oh, wake up the day! Darken the night~. Lighten my
eyelids 'cause I don't wanna sleep, while you're shining so
bright... Sweet Ivory Star~.♪" Star's eyes opened again at
the last line, her gaze wandering over to the noctral beside her
with a mischievous look as it was sung.
