Water Wings

"How's the water, Clair?" Clarity calls out to Clair. She's
lounging on her back on a beach chair under a beach umbrella,
wearing a deep red one-piece bathing suit and a pair of
sunglasses.
"Mmmmnnmnmnmmnmim," Clair mumbles back at her from in the pond.
He's paddling slowly out in the center of the pond, a pair of
arm floaters to make sure he stays afloat. He's also wearing a
red bathing suit that matches his sister's, and another floater
on his muzzle. It makes sure that his head stays above water,
but it also makes it difficult for him to speak.
Clarity giggles and rolls over. "Yeah, that's what I thought.
Just make sure you get to shore before you take off your mouth
floater, alright?"
Clair nods and mumbles again, continuing his slow paddling.

Ocean had one thing on his mind today: Pain. The previous
night(s) of drinking were starting to take a toll, and he needed
a way to reset his body and his head. Luckily, there was just
that in the form of a pond just outside town. With sunglasses on
and a bright green towel draped around his neck, Ocean arrived
at the pond. Seeing that he wasn't alone, Ocean decided to try
and act as sober as possible in an attempt to keep himself from
looking like a fool. He came up to a tree besides the pond, and
hung his towel and sunglasses from a branch, before diving into
the water, making sure to avoid the filly who looked more likley
to drown in floatation devices than water.

Clair continues slowly paddling, going in circles. "Mmmnmnmn,
mnnnmmnnnmnmnim," he says when the newcomer dives in, stopping
the paddling.
Clarity turns back over and glances over, pulling her sunglasses
down to take a look over at the two of them. "Yeah, I see him,
Clair. Don't worry, I'm sure he's friendly. Keep paddling,
Clair." She turns back over again, forehooves folded under her
chin and Clair resumes his paddling. "Maybe you can charm him
with your rapier wit."

Serenity is already on the other side of the pond, floating on
her back spreadeagled with her all her limbs and hair extending
straight out from her body. She's wearing a violet swimsuit that
matches her mane highlights.
Her floating is random, and she doesn't seem to care which
direction she goes in, as her eyes are closed.

Picking his moment, Ocean shot up from the centre of the pond,
flying directly up as far as he could reach. As his ascent
peaked, he spread his body out flat and spun in the air before
diving straight down to the pond below, pulling his limbs in and
spinning as he went. As he hit the water, he spread his limbs
out again, causing a large amount of water to fly in all
directions, reaching just outside the edge of the pond.

Clarity turns back over when she hears the exit splash, looking
up through her sunglasses at the trick. On the re-entry, she
sits up and starts applauding. "Oh, bravo, bravo!" she calls,
making enough noise to seem like a full audience applause.
Confetti pops out from her mane and cascades down around her in
a wide area.
Clair paddles a little faster, panicking a tiny bit as he's
pushed by the splash. "Mmmmnmnimnnin!" he says as his hooves get
tangled in something that feels like wet mane.

Ocean stayed under the water for a bit before slowly rising to
the surface, brushing his mane out of his eyes with his wings.
As he broke the surface he spat out some water that snuck into
his mouth before starting to do laps of the pond, using his
wings to propel his body through the water.

Serenity doesn't react to the splash from the dive; having
something yanking her mane is another matter. She lifts her head
and turns to see what is, but can't because she's inadvertently
blindfolded herself.
She turns back in an attempt to clear her vision, but only
manages to tighten it up.

Clarity takes her eye off the swimming stallion long enough to
notice Clair's predicament. "Okay Clair, now would be a good
time to stop paddling. You're going to be fine. Just be still."
While his sister debates getting up and untangling him, Clair
does as she instructs, ceasing his motion entirely to just float
placidly with his hooves still caught. "Mmmnmninmnimmumn," he
mumbles, sounding more calm already.
"Don't worry, I'm sure she won't bite."

Serenity halts her own attempts to get rid of the tangle once
the other pony stops yanking on her mane. Instead she begins
just floating as well, this time upright.
Her stomach decides to growl.
