Re: Pathfinder/Ponyfinder Test Run: Road to War
By: Shadow Date: September 29, 2016, 8:05 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
FOR ALL: While everything is going on, the entire crowd is still
dead quiet, no one daring to make any noise. But it is easy to
tell that the mood and the situation is VERY tense, everyone is
just on edge, very twitchy, waiting to see what will happen
       next, for better or worse.
       [hr]
FOR EMBER/THYME: The mare that you were watching walks past you
and meets slightly to the side in the middle of yourself and
Fury. She turns to you and nods your head as you give your
comment. "Well, judging by the reaction here, and your comment,
I think its fair to say that you're the one who threw this at
me, 'Fury' I believe." she says, waving the throwing knife in
his face. The knife itself looks just like any other knife that
you may have seen in your journey, but most likely altered in
some way so that it could be thrown.
After she finishes waving the knife around, she uses her magic
to send it flying into the wall behind you. You see it lodges
itself into the corner wall of the stage, next to a weapons rack
with basic rapiers, which you used earlier. "Yeah, I threw that
knife, but it wasn't for you, doll face. It was for that cocky
wolf over there." Fury says, pointing at you. "And so you
thought it would be a good idea to try and kill her for it?" the
mare asks, raising her eyebrow. "Yeah? I have a reputation
around here to uphold, and I ain't letting some stranger take it
away from me. What's wrong with that?" he spits. "Heh, you'll
see why it was stupid of you to try to hurt me, or anypony else,
intentional or not." she says as she uses her magic once again,
this time she pulls out a strange contraption, something very
alien to you, from under her cloak, pointing it directly at
       Fury's head.
       [hr]
FOR ALL (cont.): "Whoa whoa whoa, lets just have everyone stop,
calm down and think about this for a sec-" Fury manages to say
before he is sharply cut off by the mare. "How about you shut up
before I pull the trigger. You've tested my patience enough
today with your little stunt." she snaps, keeping the pistol
trained on Fury before turning out to the crowd. "You have all
seen the kind of stallion this pony is. A liar, a cheat, a
brute, a murderer. There is no place in Cermatine for scum like
this. For all that he has done, he'll pay."
As the mare pulls out the contraption, the crowd gasps, but no
one seems to be making any sudden movements. As she gives her
little speech, there are a few ponies who are muttering under
their breath, but still, no one seems to be making any
       movements.
"Now, before I proceed, does anyone have any objections to me
delivering justice upon this stallion? If so, speak now,
otherwise, he dies." she says, presenting her ultimatum. The
crowd is now looking at each other nervously, no one daring to
       say anything.
       [hr]
FOR EMBER/THYME (cont.): As you see this all unfold in front of
you, you see that the necklace that she is wearing, that you
didn't notice before, is now faintly glowing with a purple hue.
The symbol on the necklace appears to be that of some draconian
creature, surrounded by flames, and it looks to be dark purple
       in colour.
((If you want to try and see if you are familiar with this, you
may make a Knowledge (Religion) check))
       [hr]
FOR HEX/FAUST: As this is going on, the ponies that were part of
Fury's entourage are acting much more twitchy than the rest of
the crowd. When the mare pulls out the contraption, the pony
near you is about to surge forward, before Fury says stop.
Judging by how Fury said stop, and how the pony stopped in
place, you can easily ascertain that Fury was more talking to
       his entourage than anypony else.
When the mare presents her ultimatum, you can see that Fury's
entourage are starting to look around at each other nervously,
trying to figure out a plan of sorts.
       [hr]
FOR CLAIR/PLO AND IRON: You both can hear everything that is
happening, but you aren't really able to see what exactly his
happening. Based on your hearing, you can tell that a mare was
injured in someway, and that the stallion who injured her is in
a pretty uncomfortable position at the moment. That, and the
situation and the mood of the entire building is tense.
       [hr]
((I will be away over the course of the weekend, more
specifically, the next 3 days. Please try to get your posts in
during that time so we are able to move on with the next part of
       the story. Thank you.))

"Now now", Hex says, standing up a bit straighter but staying
where he is. "I'm sure I'm as indignant about this as anypony
else here, perhaps yourself excepting, but wouldn't justice be
better left in the hooves of the law?"

"Yeah," Clair chimes in from the back, sitting at one of the
tables. "I'm sure the sight of more blood would be too much for
my poor eyes. Besides, now that we know he can't win without
cheating, his reputation is in tatters now. Though I still
think he could stand to be thrown out on his plot, with all of
us gleefully laughing along at a sore loser."

Ember's grin returns briefly as Fury points at her, at this
point just trying to keep him riled up. "Oh boo hoo, someone who
I'll never see again might beat me in front of my adoring
public." She mocks, looking Fury right in the eye for a moment
before letting her smile fade. She eyes the strange contraption
as the hooded mare pulls it out, briefly noting the strangely
glowing necklace. She looks back at Fury, the odd weapon pointed
at his head. "Lowlifes like this guy aren't worth the trouble,
but you can do what you want." Ember turns and heads toward the
front of the stage to go back to her table.

By: Shadow Date: October 3, 2016, 1:43 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
FOR EMBER/THYME: As you mock Fury, he is looking VERY mad, as
though he's about to pop a blood vessel and go on a killing
spree if you push his buttons further. As you walk off, you see
the mare subtly rolling her eyes.
On the subject of the medallion, you do recognize where it is
from. You recognize it as the symbol of the Church of Mortas,
       the God of Divine Judgement.
       [hr]
FOR HEX/FAUST: The mare turns to you as you say your piece,
hoping to sway her from killing Fury. "No earthly justice could
ever dream of delivering proper judgement upon this bastard for
the crimes he has committed. No, for this stallion, justice is
best left to the gods." she stays sternly, seemingly unswayed in
       her decision to kill Fury.
       [hr]
FOR CLAIR: The mare now turns to you as you say your piece.
"Hmm, it definitely wouldn't be good to kill this stallion in a
place like this..." she mutters to herself. "You certainly make
a good point that his reputation here is all but destroyed, but
its not enough punishment for him." she says, the contraption
now moved behind his head. "You will die outside, now move." she
says, as Fury now slowly makes his way forward.
       [hr]
FOR ALL: As Fury is escorted off the stage, one of the ponies in
Fury's entourage throws a knife directly at the weapon. The
knife makes contact, knocking the weapon off of the mare's
magical hold on it. In retaliation, the mare pulls out a hoof
crossbow from under her hoof, firing the loaded bolt right at
the pony, getting them right in the right forehoof. Soon enough,
there are ponies just whaling on each other in what has now
turned into a bar brawl. Ponies are being thrown around in
combat as some try to run and hide from the conflict.
Soon enough, there are Fury's ponies facing off against several
members of the party, all of you dragged into the battle royale
of sorts. All around you, you hear the sounds of battle, and
       oddly, music.
I'm going to need all of you to roll for initiative
       [hr]
Alright, all of you will be facing off in combat against Fury
and his group. You're pretty surrounded by other villagers
fighting each other (its some strong drink) each of them will be
       using different weapons.
As a helpful tip, the one with Clair is the pony in the corner
booth who will be assisting you. You don't know her name yet,
but for the players, her name is Tinder. The pony with Ember is
Midnight, although your characters don't know their names yet.
We will all be posting in terms of initiative, which will be
posted on the discord, and we then post in that order. Before
posting, I will post a final initiative order for everyone,
       including the NPCs.
Best of luck, and don't die!

Ember finds herself back on the stage, facing Fury once again
while the brawl rages on the bar floor behind her. The last few
minutes had been pretty hectic, though she'd somehow managed to
get her gear together after the fighting had broken out. Now she
stands in her full armor, rapier held at the ready as she stares
Fury down. She'd been nearly helpless in the spar, only really
getting by on sheer dumb luck and Fury's own lack of focus. Now
she was in her element, and this time the fight would only end
when one of them was on the ground. Ember gives Fury her most
ferocious smile, teeth bared around the hilt of her sword. She
lunges to the left, ducking past the hooded mare who was
currently facing off with one of Fury's cronies. Ember spins as
she nears the wall, plunging the rapier toward Fury's unarmored
side. The blade sinks deeply into him before being quickly
       pulled out.

       Tinder (NPC) turn:
One of the only patrons that is actively fighting Fury's group
has ended up with Clair. Throughout the brawl, each of you have
managed to catch a glimpse of the mare. The mare in question is
wearing a dark cloak with the hood down, revealing other
features. This mare has a short dark red and blood orange mane,
and from what you can tell, an equally short tail. She also has
a horn, yellow magic surrounding it as she carries her rapier
       around with her.
Within her little area of battle, she charges at one of the
bandits with her rapier, just barely landing a hit on the
bandit. The blade of the rapier puncturing through the armour.

       Rapier attack: 1d20+4 = 16
       Rapier damage: 1d6 = 5
       [hr]
       Midnight (NPC) turn:
On the stage alongside Ember, Fury and one of the ponies in
their group is the mare from before who was (accidentally)
attacked by Fury, and nearly executed Fury. She is now fighting
on the stage, against a bandit.
She's managed to get her gun-like contraption back, and is now
using a longsword that she seemingly had. She takes a swing and
slashes across the chest of the pony, the pony grunting in pain.
       Initiative: 21
Move 2 ft to Bandit 4

       Longsword damage: 1d8 = 7

Bandit 4 has now contracted leprosy
       [hr]
       Bandits 4, 2 & 1 (NPC) turn:
Each of the bandits are varied in gender and race, each of them
is wearing light armour, and wielding either a dagger or a
rapier. All of them look ready and eager to kill and get out of
       there.
The bandit facing Midnight is staggering back after the slash,
beginning to look physically weaker. Despite this, he tries to
stab her with his knife, just missing, feeling something, and
       just not looking nice.
       Initiative: 21
       Dagger attack: 1d20+4 = 11
       -----
The bandit facing Iron is a female pegasi with a brown mane and
light grey coat. She is wielding a rapier. She makes a move
towards you with her rapier, attempting to stab you. She manages
to get a good hit on you.
       Initiative: 20
       Move 2 ft to Iron

       Rapier critical confirmation: 1d20+4 = 23
       Rapier damage: 1d6*2 = 4
       -----
The bandit facing Hex is a male earth pony with a yellow mane
and red coat. He is wielding a knife. He tries to slash at you
with his knife. He manages leave a cut on your front.
       Initiative: 18

Iron staggered back from the blow with a pained grunt, the
piercing blade of the rapier causing a hole to start trickling
blood. Shaking his head to straighten out his thoughts, having
been a little too distracted in trying to keep up with events.
Using his magic, he pulled out his warhammer, brandishing it at
the pegasus mare, before giving it a hard swing at her, aiming
at her chest to try and knock the wind out of her.

       Bandits 2 (Response) & 3 turn:
Iron, as you swing your warhammer at your opponent, she fails to
dodge as the hammer slams into her side, smashing her side,
possibly doing some internal damage. She is looking very rough,
and doesn't look like she can take much more damage.
       Warhammer attack hits Bandit 2
       Bandit 2 takes 9 damage
       -----
The bandit facing the mysterious mare is surprisingly wearing
his hood and cloak still. It is a dark brown cloak and hood,
making it hard to make out the details in the mares attacker.
The pony attempts to stab the mare with his own rapier. The
bandit manages to land a hit on the mare, the blade piercing her
armour. She grunts in pain as she is stabbed and as the figure
pulls out the rapier. She is still standing from taking the hit.

Hex grunts as the knife penetrates his clothes. Deciding that
reasoning with his opponent is probably meaningless, he chooses
to remain mostly silent as he attempts to grab his foe. Sadly,
the other stallion manages to slip from his clutches.
