"You know I like my mares a cut above the rest," Clair puns back
at Hex, smirking out of the corner of his mouth. "But as
tempting as a romp with your wolf friend sounds, it sounds to me
like she's quite smitten with you already. Usually discussing
weapon preferences doesn't come up until at least the third
date. Or am I thinking job interviews? But," he continues,
tottering to his hooves, "I think to maximize your chances of
further drinks if you wish, I'll just get out of your manes.
That corner booth is empty, right?" He begins his slow walk in
the direction of the corner, hanging his head.

Hex downs the rest of his water and rises. "Nah, you're good.
I'm going to get up and watch the last fight from the front. How
can I hope to compete with you for her affections if I don't get
up there and cheer for her?" He joins the crowd by the stage.

Ember frowns at the waitress' announcement that the weapon for
the final match would be decided by coin flip. She'd been hoping
they'd be able to talk out what to use, and she'd have a chance
to convince Fury to go for rapiers. Ember nods at Fury as the
waitress produces the coin, and he calls flank on the flip.
There wasn't anything she could do to change the outcome, so
she's just going to have to prepare for the possibility of going
unarmed again. She'd been able to push Hex back well enough, and
Fury probably wasn't quite as trained in hoof-to-hoof combat as
Hex, so she might stand a decent chance there anyway. Still, she
barely has any idea of Fury's capablities, it would do her well
to not get overconfident.

FOR EMBER/THYME: “Alright, you’ll be heads in that case” the
waitress-announcer says to you. She takes the coin in hoof and
throws it up in the air, the coin flipping again and again. It
continues this until it hits the ground, the coin bouncing off
once before landing in the ground. The three of you can see that
the coin has landed on flank. “Alright, Fury, what’ll it be?”
the waitress asks Fury. He thinks for a moment before saying “I
saw your last fight, I wanna see what you got. Hoof-to-hoof
combat.” He says. “Alright, fighters ready?” she says, a loud
cheer coming from the crowd in anticipation “Fight!” she says
finally, causing a loud cheer to come out from the rest of the
bar.
((Can I have Ember roll initiative.))
[hr]
FOR CLAIR/PLO, IRON AND HEX/FAUST: The three of you go your
separate ways, Hex heads off to where the rest of the crowd is
to watch the fight, ending up at the back of the crowd, while
both Clair and Iron head off to the corner booth.
Hex, you make your way to the crowd, the volume getting louder
as you get closer. You finally get to the back of the crowd, the
cheers almost deafening. Almost. Out of the corner of your eye
you see one of the ponies that was with Fury earlier, watching
the fight. Unlike the rest of the crowd, you can just see that
he’s not cheering, but he’s just watching the stage intently.
Iron, as you head off with Clair, you see that the bartender has
stopped paying attention to you, focusing on patrons coming to
the bar. You can also see the waitress sitting down behind the
bar, still looking somewhat upset. As the two of you get to the
booth, the volume of the cheering is significantly reduced
compared to where you were before.

Upon reaching the corner booth, Clair sits down and slides into
the very corner of it. "Yes, this will do," he says, setting his
hooves on the table and his chin on his hooves. Not that anyone
can see, but his eyes are closed, and soon he's dozing lightly.

Ember shakes her head slightly as the coin flip goes to Fury and
he chooses unarmed once again. He'd be expecting her to just try
to push him off the rug, like she'd done with Hex. It's all she
can really think to do though, and she's not about to start
trying anything fancy now. She'll just have to hope she can
manage to overpower him. Ember gets herself into a fighting
stance, ready to charge in the moment the fight begins. Ember
springs forward as soon as the waitress yells "Fight.", rushing
at the earth pony and slamming into him to try to push him right
off the carpet.

Hex notices one of the ponies from Fury's entourage watching as
well, but oddly enough he doesn't seem to be cheering. Doesn't
seem to be doing much of anything, really, aside from watching.
Ember's charge is quite clearly an impressive one, and Hex can't
help but let out a wordless cheer for her even before seeing the
result.
Hex decides to keep one eye on the observant pony. Just in case.

FOR EMBER/THYME: Fury manages to walk a few steps forward before
Ember charges him. Upon impact, Fury is pushed back, albeit a
little bit, maybe only a few inches. “Nice try wolfie, but that
ain’t gonna fly with me!” he taunts Ember as he quickly spins
around and launches his hind legs toward Ember.
Fury will be using Stunning Fist feat
Unarmed Strike: 18 + 5 = 23
Unarmed Strike Damage: 1d6 + 4 = 7 non-lethal bludgeoning damage
I need Ember to make a Fortitude saving throw

((I don't really have much else for Iron, Hex and Clair at this
point. So until you make a post I won't add anything for you
guys in this or the next DM post.))

Iron took a seat at the booth with Clair, scratching at his ear
now that the volume had dropped and he could hear his own
thoughts once again. He kept an eye on things, though it didn't
seem needed from his perspective, and at least the bartender had
found other things to watch, though the waitress still seemed
shook up, not that he could blame her, really. Noticing that
Clair began to doze, Iron got comfortable.

Ember reels back as Fury's kick hits her, baring her teeth at
the taunt. She'd barely even budged him with that charge, and
it's pretty clear she won't be able to win like that this time.
Which leaves just slugging it out with him, and if that hit was
anything to go by he's at least as good at that as Hex was.
She's not about to just give up though, and lunges forward again
with a kick of her own. Unfortunately her attacks are clumsy,
her kick missing the target.
Fortitude 1d20+5=24
Unarmed attack 1d20+2=10
