Hex grins as he manages to push his opponent off of him; this
may be easier then he thought. Then he takes a swing at her, and
misses horrendously. Totally on purpose, of course. Gotta give
these good ponies a show, right?

Clair takes another drink, nearly emptying the vessel. "You're
doing fiiine," he says to the waitress, his face beginning to
flush from the drink. "But, if you're not really one for seeing
for me..." He lets one of his hooves move off his mug and lets
his magic hold it, slipping the now-free hoof around the mare's
shoulder. "We could find a room and have our own little
sparring match," he finishes with a friendly grin.

Iron heard the waitress, but wasn't paying too much attention,
preferring to watch the match himself whilst keeping an eye on
the crowd. It was during one of his crowd scans that he spotted
Fury, pausing a moment as he could've sworn there was something
happening there.

Ember barely even has to dodge the strike Hex makes toward her,
dropping his defensive stance in the process. With his guard
lowered, Ember decides to make an attack of her own, though her
retaliatory strike is clumsy and likely leaves her open.
Surprisingly, she manages to land a hit, dealing a fairly solid
blow against him.

Hex, realizing his opponent isn't suited to this mode of
fighting, manages to take advantage of an easy opening to land a
well-aimed strike just before he takes one himself.

FOR EMBER/THYME and HEX/FAUST: As you two are both going at it,
the first attack from Hex missing horribly, but the attack from
Ember and Hex's second attack hitting their target, the crowd
lets out a loud cheer, incredibly excited to see some real
action going on.
Hex, after you miss your first attack, you feel the pain of
Ember's attack, the punch hitting your side, but in the follow
up, you manage to land a much harder hit on Ember. ((You take 2
points of bludgeoning damage))
Ember, you manage to duck out of the way of Hex's attack against
you, and after seeing an opening, you throw a punch at Hex's
side, landing a hit. But in your attack, you left yourself open,
and there's a sharp pain from the punch in your stomach, as you
are left slightly reeling back from the pain of the punch. ((You
take 5 points of bludgeoning damage))
[hr]
FOR IRON: You try to take a look at the glimmer that you saw,
but you cant see anything out of the ordinary, and you dismiss
what you thought you saw as a side effect of your drink, which
by the way is one of the best drinks you've ever had.
[hr]
FOR CLAIR/PLO: After you make your comment to the waitress, she
immediately begins to stammer, obviously flustered by your
choice of words. "O-oh, w-wow, r-really?" Although you can't see
it her face normally cream fur is now beet red, she is blushing
from your comment. After a little bit, she manages to calm
herself down. "Wow, really? That was one of the worst pick-up
lines I've ever heard." she says, laughing afterwards. "Nah,
that was pretty funny." she says. From the tone of her voice,
she seemed to take your response somewhat well. "Anyways, back
to the- oh! They just both landed punches on each other, almost
at the same time!" she says, starting to get into it.

"Aww, one of the worst?" Clair fake pouts, sticking out his
lower lip. "I made it just for you. And I've got much worse
ones..." He keeps up his pout until he downs the last of his
cider, setting his mug back down on the table, resuming his grin
afterwards. "And I'm not really that interested in the fight,
actually," Clair admits, his hoof slipping from the waitress's
shoulder to her side. "I'm far more interested in you. Let
other ponies be violent, but I'm a lover, not a fighter," he
says with a nuzzle to the mare's shoulder.

Hex grin falters for a moment as he's hit, but comes back wider.
"That wasn't bad." He focuses for a moment, then springs into a
flurry of action. "I'm glad we-", he sets his stance, "-didn't
use-", takes a swing, narrowly missing, "-those rapiers." Flows
into his stance and readies another strike, "It's hard on a
guy's ego-" swings again, connecting this time with a satisfying
thump, "-to get demolished like-", he finishes in a neutral
stance, "-I'm sure that would have."

After a few moments, Iron blinked his eyes, giving his head a
gentle shake as he put the glimmer down to a mixture of the
lighting and the drink he had. He shifted his attention back to
the match, taking a deep drink as he did, enjoying it
thoroughly.

Ember manages to dodge out of the way of one of Hex's strikes,
but receives a solid thump from the next, not having expected
him to be quite so quick. It was pretty obvious at this point
that he was much better at fighting unarmed than she was, though
the earth pony was likely right. The gap would have been greater
if they'd used rapiers. It was clear that trading blows with him
was a losing proposition, so instead of retaliating, Ember
braces herself for another hit and rushes forward, once more
attempting to push him backward.
