Ember shoots a glance at Tinder when she reveals she'd been part
of the bandit group until very recently. While she'd dismissed
Clair's suggestion that the guard's could be luring them into a
trap quickly, the mare he was currently flirting with certainly
could be. Still, she could be telling the truth, and they had
the guards backing them up. "As I said, I'm more than willing to
help stamp out this bandit problem. I haven't had a proper job
in a while anyway." She nods to True Aim. "That should be plenty
of time, if you would excuse me." She turns and returns to her
table near the bar, retrieving whatever she'd left lying around
and heading for the door.

"Hey, careful now, Tiger", Hex says to Clair as he gives him a
playful shove. "That rapier she has looks way more dangerous
than the waitress's dagger; you should probably get an extra
thick armor suit, just in case.
"Guess I better grab my stuff..." He yawns. "There we go. Meet
ya outside."
Exit stage... doorway.

"Yeah, well. She also knows how to use it better. Which is to
say that she knows it doesn't go in my face. It's the little
things like that that make all the difference." Clair feels the
cuts in his clothing and sighs. "I really should get these
fixed. Don't want her to think I'm some kind of ragamuffin.
Anywho, guess we'll be swooping off to heroically save a town
from a bandit overlordage, possibly earning the affections of
delightsome mares in the meantime. Well, you two. I may or may
not have done that already, but y'know. Anyone feel like going
in front? I would feel a lot better with a possibly angry wall
of meat between me and foul knaves." Clair follows after Hex,
mumbling more stuff.

Iron made short work of gathering his things, listening to the
others as they spoke. He was partially curious to how big of a
group the bandits that they'd need to clear out were. Though,
getting the leader would tend to dissolve the group iin short
order. He caught up with the others as they left, shaking his
head at Clair's comment, "yeah, yeah. I'm not overly angry, but
pretty sure I can take a few more hits compared to yourself," he
chuckled.

FOR ALL: Once the four of you all make your way outside, you are
greeted by Tinder, True Aim, Korvas Brightstar and their 10
guards accompanying you all. "Alright, if we're ready, lets go."
Korvas says to the group. With that, your group heads off
through the village, into the night and the wilderness.
Your group travels for about an hour or so through featureless
farmland, eventually making your way to what looks like a pit
mine, with the entrance deeper into the mines at the bottom of
said pit, roughly 20 or so feet down. From where the group is,
you are not quite at the top of the pit, but close to the top,
on a path that leads down into the bottom. The path circles
around the pit towards the bottom, made from carved out sections
of rock and wooden planks and stairs at certain parts. At the
entrance of the pit stands two bandits, acting as the guards for
the entrance into the mines. The entrance itself is dimly lit by
a few hanging torches next to the entrance, with light from
inside the mines pouring out. You can't really hear much of
anything from the bandits inside or outside the mines.
"Alright, we're here. So, how do you want to do this? Tell us
what we should do, and we'll go." True Aim says your group, as
he is standing on the path to the mines, with Tinder, Midnight,
Korvas, and the 10 guards behind you, all of them waiting for an
answer

Ember eyes the two guards standing outside the mine. They
wouldn't be able to get the down there without being spotted,
and with the way the path down spirals around the pit the
bandits would have plenty of time to raise an alarm. She
generally prefers the direct approach, but in this case it would
just cause problems. She turns and looks the guards over, noting
there's only a couple pegasi among them and the only ones here
with ranged weapons are True Aim and Midnight. "I don't suppose
you guys can pick them off from up here without them running for
help?"

Hex eyes the ridge above the entrance. "How dangerous would you
suppose it would be to drop on them from there?"

FOR CLAIR and IRON: The two of you just listen in as the group
just go back and forth on how best the group is able to tackle
this issue.
FOR EMBER: Both True Aim and Midnight look at you, slightly
confused at your request. "Well we could but... "Who's to say
even though we hit them, what if they're still standing and they
do manage to call for help? Besides, my gun is loud, so I'm sure
that the guards inside would hear. Its a good idea, but I would
personally prefer if we had a backup plan..." both True Aim and
Midnight say. "We'll get into position if this is what we're
doing." Midnight says, as they both move into a good position to
attack.
FOR HEX: Korvas looks at you as you make your own suggestion,
after Ember's suggestion to simply shoot at them. "We could have
two of us skirt along the path quietly so that they're
essentially on top of the guards. Then when True Aim and
Midnight shoot, we have the two jump down onto them to stop them
if they aren't dead." he says. "Are you volunteering to go?" he
asks you.

Hex shrugs. "I think I'm one of the more likely to be able to do
it; maybe Ember at the same time?"

Ember frowns. Midnight was right of course, there was no
guarantee the bandits would go down even if the two managed to
hit them. She glances over at Hex at his suggestion of jumping
down on top of them, and nods when Hex asks if she'd be helping.
"I can do that, no problem. As long as I can get over there
without being noticed."
