       Young Adult Earth Pony Stallion
       Appearance
       [I]Mane and Tail[/I]: Dark green, mostly straight but curly at
       the ends. Mane short and parted on the left, tail short and
       unstyled.
       [I]Body[/I]: Average height, kinda fat.
       [I]Eyes[/I]: Green
       [I]Cutie Mark[/I]: A Circled Hexagram inside a Hexagon
       Talent
       Hex is good at spotting patterns, and seeing how to fit two
       things that don't seem to fit together.
       Bio-ish
       Hex was born the third of 9 foals, into a family made of all
       three tribes. While not rich, there was always food on the table
       and enough money for the occasional luxury. They were happy and
       content, and for the most part probably still are.
       Hex moved to Ponyville to pursue a job as a delivery pony for a
       large company. He doesn't fit the profile most would hire for
       that work (pegasus), but his cheery demeanor makes him a great
       choice for a face the customers see often.
       He enjoys studying how things work, especially both computing
       and magic. Even though he's never used either of them, he knows
       the theoretical ins and outs of them better than many who have
       lived with them their entire lives. He aspires to own a computer
       someday.
       He joined the Vigil by accident. He was making a delivery near
       the fringe of the Everfree when he was attacked by some kind of
       beast. His package recipient rushed to his aid and they managed
       to fight it off; but in the melee the package came open and the
       contents, a magical helmet, managed to get onto his head and
       pair itself to him.
       Knowing that the helm would be useless to him now and it would
       be too much trouble to undo the pairing, the older stallion
       kindly offered to teach him how to use it if he'd help fight
       monsters. Hex accepted, of course.
       Tools
       Hex's helmet is made of a silver-ish alloy, and covers his face.
       Two gems are set side by side at the forehead, a sunstone and a
       moonstone. Each gathers energy while in the light of its
       namesake, and has a few different uses (the most basic being
       focused energy blasts). The helmet is also good for ramming and
       striking with, which is Hex's main method of attack.
       He has grappling shoes that can fire out cables a healthy
       distance and latch on to things. This is useful mainly for
       moving himself about quickly, or for pulling smaller items
       towards him.
       He also carries a full-body gambeson specially designed to be
       easy to put on and take off.
