Testing Day

Lauren was pushing her hoof into Fox's arm. "Hey wake up. You
got to get ready for the test."
She was already in uniform, but had bags under her eyes. "I hope
you got enough sleep, those nightmares sure kept me awake."

Foxtrot ruffles around in his bed as he's woken up from his
sleep. His eyes open. Bloodshot from the lack of rest the
previous night. "Huh? Oh, sorry abo-" Rolling towards the edge
of the bed, he accidentally rolls of and leans onto the floor
with a thud. Facedown, he simply stretches as the soreness
starts to set in. "I'm up, kinda..." Standing up, he looks over
to her to find she's in just as bad of shape as he. From there
he puts on his signature attire and equips his gear. "So uh...
well you be escorting me to the thing or coffee first?"

"Grab coffee and breakfast first. Ill accompany you since I
don't want to see you sitting by yourself. Also I think the
Colonel wants to join us."
She held the door open for her roommate.

"Thanks Lauren." Fox sits as he exits the room. In a matter of
minutes they end up in the mess hall. The aroma of freshly
cooked food and brew draw a smile out of the unicorn as he
retrieves his breakfast. Tray now full, he waits for Lauren
before getting a table to sit at. "So, will you be joining us on
this test thing today?"

"Unfortunately, as much as I want to see you touch an asteroid,
I have other things I have to do." She lead him over to the seat
where the Colonel was sitting finishing up his eggs and bacon
that obviously wasn't from this mess hall.

"I... rested Colonel. I certainly did." Fox replies as he takes
his seat. "I hope your sleep went well too. I gotta say I'm
rather excited for today's events. Working with a crew like
yourself and Lauren is certainly refreshing." He sips his
coffee, it's aroma surrounding his senses to wake him even more.

The Colonel smiled, shifted in his seat, and stabbed his
scrambled eggs.
"If Lauren's snoring is keeping you up just tell me." Jennings
joked. "Yeah I was up all night. Something came up at our
Appleloosa site but it's fine now." He took a bite. "Well, I'm
glad you are cooperating with us. Ever since I saw the NS's
security footage of your... Powers at the tower, I wanted to
bring you in to see how they react with the asteroids. At the
moment it seems like it is giving off some magical aura but our
scientists haven't found anything that spikes it yet. Perhaps
your strange magic can change that. You will be given full
protection gear and will be pulled out if things get dangerous.

The unicorn takes a bite into his Blueberry muffin as he
listens, washing or down with more coffee after. "Glad to hear.
So with this asteroid, are there any theories as to what may or
may not happen?"

all.” The Colonel took another bite of his eggs.
