Broadshield listens to the various radio checks, mainly from the
sniper teams in the buildings. "We have multiple sniper-spotter
teams in the buildings around the courtyard, any other buildings
we have the politician's secret service guarding, mainly the one
opposite to us." He says in his headset. Wait. Now that he
thought about it, he hasn't been hearing anything from the
politician's secret service. Switching to a shared channel he
speaks. "Have one of you guys heard from any of the service
ponies in the buildings?" he says, immediately growing
suspicious of the lack of any communication, but making sure he
doesn't raise any suspicion in the questions, asking his
question in the general sense, not as if it were a life-or-death
thing.

"I haven't heard anything," Agilene responds to Broadshield's
question over the radio. Maybe it's all peace and quiet with the
service ponies too. But one can never be too sure. "Have you
attempted to contact them?" Suddenly, she picks up the sound of
a couple distant bangs. Raising a brow, unsure of the source of
the noise, she asks everyone through her communicator, "Did you
hear that just now?"

Unknown lifted her head up before firing. She realized that
there was still a guard patrolling the building too and she
turned around quickly and waited till the lightning struck again
before firing another shot masked by the thunder at guard who
flew back motionless. Rolling her eyes the assassin made sure
the rest of the roof was clear before moving back to her spot
and resetting. She did scan over the crowd and stage and found a
saw a stallion she recognized from the documents she had.
Broadshield. She had to be careful of him.

Broadshield keeps an ear out, listening to any bangs, but over
the VIP talking and the thunder and rain, he can't hear a thing.
"No, I don't hear any-" he says, before he is cut off by the
sound of a bang, but he can't identify where it was from.
"Alright, did you guys hear that? Sounded like a gunshot."
"Sir, with all due respect, I think that was thunder." Bishop
says.
"Sounded a lot like a bang to me. Everyone, we may have someone
nearby. Keep your eyes open." he says, being more vigilant of
not the crowd, but of the surrounding buildings.

Thunder, huh? Where there's thunder, there's lightning, and
Agilene definitely saw no lightning. But if Bishop suspects the
noise to be thunder, then it most likely originated from above.
While there are numerous other sources for a noise like that, a
growing suspicion inside Agilene causes her to turn her
attention to a building near by. The same one where the
speaker's guards are supposedly patrolling. Maybe the reason for
their sudden silence is up there.
"Commander Broadshield, I think I know where the sound came
from. Permission to investigate one of the buildings?" she asks
him through the radio. It may be an insane idea, but someone has
to take action as soon as possible.

Though she didn't actually hear Ageline. Right when she said
that Unknown held her breath and pulled the trigger as the
bullet would go through two open windows as it approached the
politicians head.

Broadshield continues surveying the area until he hears a
response from the VIP's security. "Commander Broadshield? We
haven't gotten anything back from the team in the building,
they've all gone silent."
"Thank you. Hold position for the moment." He says, switching to
another channel so that Agilene can hear. "Permission granted
Agilene. Which building-" he says before he is cut off by a loud
bang. It was no thunder this time, but it was a gunshot. Turning
to the VIP, he watches everything happen in what he feels is in
slow motion. He watches as Bishop manages to push the VIP out of
the way before the bullet makes impact with the politician's
head, but the bullet found a new target, Bishop's chest.
Broadshield can only watch in slow motion as the bullet
punctures Bishop's armour, his body falling to the ground.
The second Bishop hits the ground, time seems to flow normally
once again, the crowd is gasping in shock and horror, Equinox
and the politician's secret service looking around, some
scrambling to stand guard in front of the politician and
Broadshield. Broadshield rushes to Bishop's side, checking his
vitals. He's alive, but he's losing blood fast. "Medic! We need
a medic!" He calls out frantically over the radio, ponies are
scrambling. "Bishop, are you ok? Speak to me!" He says
desperately. "...Sorry Commander, I shouldn't have let this
happen..." He says, coughing up blood. "That doesn't matter now,
there is a sniper somewhere here, where did the shot come from?"
He says, medics preparing to evacuate the wounded soldier.
"Building adjacent to the podium... On the roof, saw their scope
flash... Hurry..." He says before he is carried away to be
tended by the medics. "Take care of him." He says.
His attention is now turned to the rest of the soldiers and the
politician. There was still a gunman out there, and they needed
to be ready. "Alright listen up, we need to act quick. Our VIP
is in danger and we need to get him out. Equinox will cover the
exits so civilians don't escape and you will have a secure path
out. You and your guard will of course get you out safely." He
says to the everyone present. "Of course, my condolences and
thanks to your friend. Good luck!"
"I should be saying that to you sir. Rogue, lead a fire team and
help escort the VIP. Everyone else, find an exit and secure it,
I don't want any civilians getting out. Sniper teams, scan the
area, look for the sniper. Agilene, come with me, we're looking
for that sniper. Let's move out!" He says, before everyone
begins to split off. Rogue, the politician and a few Equinox
soldiers along with the politicians secret service begin to
escort him away to his vehicle. Medics continue to tend to
Bishop in a nearby APC, Equinox soldiers are scrambling to
secure the area. Broadshield turns to Agilene. "Lead the way
soldier." He says.

She turns around, just about ready to leave for the building.
But a distant boom, similar to the one before, stops her in her
tracks. Following after were gasps from the crowd, and the sight
of Bishop on the ground. From this point, she watched everything
that took place after; from Commander Broadshield coming to the
injured soldier's aid, to the medics taking him away. Although
the event lasted only minutes, it felt as though hours have
past. Agilene stood still as a statue, but her racing heart, and
chest rising and falling due to heavy breathing were the only
things moving. Watching the medics disappear into the night,
Agilene recovered from her statue-like state, and gazed up at
the building where she suspected the noise originated. Her brows
furrowed, and a sense of determination to investigate grew
inside her.
All the stress that boiled inside her was soon interrupted by
Commander Broadshield, instructing everyone to locate the
culprit. After allowing her to take lead, Agilene nodded, and
turned to the building the noise supposedly came from.

Unknown gritted her teeth when she saw that somepony had dived
in front of her target. She stomped in frustration and got up
and got ready to leave this place before some of the secret
service from the other building shouted and opened fire at her
location. Unknown took cover, took her assault rifle out, and
returned fire before slowly making her way back into the
building. She found her janitors uniform and slipped that back
on while putting her weapons in the cart inside the place for
trash. From there she pushed it to the elevator and pressed the
ground floor.

Broadshield broke into a full sprint towards the building
Agilene had indicated. Halfway there, he heard several gunshots
in what sounded like a firefight before it all went quiet.
Getting at the door, he held position, waiting for Agilene.
"Alright, the shooter is in this building. We breach, and
quickly search each floor. Got it?" he says, pulling out his
pistol, preparing to move in as soon as Agilene was ready.
