       Hobbies: Alchemy, sketching, cooking.
       Occupation: Alchemist, store-owner.
       Residence: Canterlot
Personality: Thyme is a generally reserved and quiet pony. While
normally fairly comfortable with single ponies or small groups,
she does not handle crowds well, especially if attention is on
her. Thyme is not very quick to make friends, though she's very
loyal to those she's close to. Tends to be kind of stubborn. Has
       low self-esteem.
Bio: Thyme grew up in a small town in northern Equestria, where
she lived with her mother. While many of the town's resident's
were affluent, Thyme and her mother had little money to spare.
Despite their low income, they still did well enough due largely
to the support of one of Thyme's mother's friends; an elderly,
well-to-do recluse; who rarely associated with the rest of the
town's wealthy population. In part because of her status as a
"poor" pony; and also because of her quiet nature and smaller
size; Thyme was the target for bullying for much of her
childhood and into her teens. As a result of this, she grew
reserved and withdrawn, and also gained a fear of crowds and
physical contact. This was made all the worse when her mother
contracted a fatal illness shortly before Thyme's tenth
birthday, and died several months later. Thyme was taken in by
her mother's friend, and while she no longer wanted for
luxuries, she grew even more withdrawn, rarely leaving the house
or speaking. Eventually, her unofficially adopted mother decided
that nothing good could come from staying in that town. So, with
Thyme in her late teens, they moved to Canterlot in the hopes
that in the bustling capital of the nation Thyme could get the
       help she needed.
For several years she remained the quiet, lonely mare; still
spending most of her time shut away in the house she shared with
her new mother. Little by little she started to grow less afraid
of the ponies outside, even starting to visit a local park after
her appointments, though she still sought out the more secluded
areas. Normally, the other visitors to the park would ignore
her, which suited her just fine. One day though, she was
approached by another mare, who had seen her sitting alone on
multiple occasions. She introduced herself as Jazz, and from
that day started joining Thyme there to keep her company. Thyme
was nervous about this at first, sure there must be some
ulterior motive to the other mare's attempts to get close to
her. Jazz was a cheerful pony though, and her friendliness did
eventually start to pull Thyme out of her shell. Over time they
became close friends, with Jazz encouraging Thyme when she
needed it, and for the first time in years Thyme would actually
feel happy. It was only a couple, short years after that that
the two started a relationship, and Thyme eventually moved out
of the house she had shared with her mother and into the small
townhouse owned by her marefriend. With Jazz's encouraging and a
little financial help from her mother, Thyme opened a small
alchemy store. The two of them would eventually started a
family, and end up having five children. Several years later,
their home would catch fire, and while Jazz and their current
children would make it out without significant injury, Thyme
would be have her hind legs crushed under debris, and they would
later need to be amputated. Thyme went through a lengthy
recovery period, during which her family lived in the house
owned by her mother. The house would become their permanent home
after Thyme had revered enough to return to normal life, and her
mother moved out to give the family room. Currently, all but one
of their children is fully grown, and two have moved out to be
on their own. Thyme still runs her shop in Canterlot, and does a
       reasonable amount of business.
Other Notes: Owns a potion and general alchemy shop in Canterlot
called The Alembic, which offers general potions as well as a
variety of magical paints and dyes.
