"There's normally trouble." Ebony answers, taking a drink from
the bottle. "I don't think an ambulance is necessary, there's
something... off about tonight." He looks out to the door. "I'm
going to go investigate. Meghan I suggest keeping the door
locked and your eyes open." He begins to make his way to the
exit. "Stay safe." Heading outside, he catches the scent of
blood in the air. The stench is even stronger than before, and
now he has a direction. Trotting south, it doesn't take him long
to find the source, the gray hoodie on a worn path, patched with
stains of crimson and nearly torn to shreds.

Tinder sighs a little as she looks around, trying to remember
where she was going. She had a lot on her mind as she walked and
it made her forget about where she was even headed to. She
reaches back and grabs her pill bottle, taking a few before she
continues walking, she's not sure where to but maybe she'll
remember. As she walks she spots a familiar face on the streets,
she hasn't seen him since the stuff with The 26 and was
wondering how he was. So she fixes her bag and heads for him,
       waving a little, "Captain, hey!"

Meghan had shiverers running through her spine. Their shop had a
shotgun to scare off robbers, but she never had to use it
before. It was kinda the owner's thing. Regardless the griffon
locked the sliding doors and began to approach the back door in
the store to make sure that door was locked.

Ebony’s ears perk up when he hears Tinder, his attention
returning back to the tattered clothes. "Tinder, good to see you
again. Although I wish the circumstances were different. Have
you seen anyone wearing this hoodie? Hell, anything strange at
       all tonight?"

Tinder walks over and looks at the hoodie, frowning a little as
she shakes her head. "Sorry, I don't even remember walking here,
so I don't really know." She scratches her neck nervously,
staring at the hoodie on the ground, "By the looks of it, I'd be
surprised if the owner was still going. That's a lot of blood."

"Exactly, and I..." a low growl eminates from the forest. In the
distance, a small orb is seen in the shadows. It glows a bright
orange as it moves along the brush. "Tinder, there's a
convenience store around here. I need you to do me a favor, and
run to it as fast as possible." Before he can continue, a
terrifying roar, as if a bull moose howled like a wolf, echoes
across the night. "Tell the griffin there I sent you, she'll let
you in." His jaw nearly drops when he sees what crawls out into
       the open.

Tinder watches the creature and moves closer to Ebony, shaking
her head as she makes a couple knives. "I am not running away
from this, if you're staying and fighting then so am I." She
aims the dagger at the beast, waiting for the time to throw it.
She's not running away from this fight, not today.

"Yea, about that... I'm going to run too. Had to set up a game
plan first." As the demonic hound paces forward, lava drops from
its mouth. Small embers on the grass light its path as it
readies to strike. With another haunting roar it pounces forth,
reaching the two at alarming speeds. "Damn it!" Without
hesitation, he yanks Tinder onto his back and bolts into town.
       "Hang on!"

Tinder freezes a bit as she sees the lava and fire, it hadn't
clicked in that this thing was on fire till now and it scared
her. It was probably good that Ebony grabbed her because she may
not have moved herself. Tinder winces a bit as she pulled
quickly onto his back, but has enough sense left in her to hang
onto him so she doesn't fall off as he runs. She doesn't know
where they are going, or even what's going on, but at least they
are getting away from the thing of fire.

       ---------------------------------------------------------
Faded Glory stares out the open window of her hotel room in
Ponyville, idly watching clouds drift across the night sky.
Equestria had been beset by attacks recently, and while these
where of a more mundane sort than she usually dealt with, they
made her anxious. Not that she was likely to get any sleep
tonight anyway, she was always far too restless while visiting
Ponyville. It was just too close to the Everfree Forest, and all
the creatures inside which could at any moment wander out and
directly into the town. It was a wonder ponies chose to live
here at all, to her mind. It seemed like just inviting disaster.
She sighs and steps back from the window, closing it tightly
once more. She goes to the bed and grabs her coat, donning it
and then picking up the two beautifully decorated pistols to set
them in their straps on the chest. She wasn't really expecting
any incidents tonight. She might be paranoid about the town's
proximity to the Everfree, but incidents were still relatively
rare. Going out and doing a patrol would probably make her feel
better though. It was at least better than sitting around in
       this room.
She quietly heads down and leaves the hotel, making sure to keep
silent so as not to wake any of the other guests. They'd
certainly find it suspicious, her going out into the night armed
as she was, and she'd rather not deal with it. Glory's ears
twitch slightly as she heads down the street; taking in the
sounds of the night around her; listening for anything unusual.
She finds nothing out of the ordinary, and has almost started to
relax as she starts to near the edge of town. It would be
enough, she thinks, to make sure the forest is as quiet as it
should be, and then she can go back and possibly get some
shuteye. She's only a few blocks away when a sudden terrible
wailing splits the night, and she almost jumps at the sudden
sound. The moment of surprise is the only pause, though, as she
immediately takes off toward the howl at a full gallop. She
can't identify whatever beast it is just by the cry alone, but
it doesn't sound like it's anything friendly.
