as he follows him. "I certainly hope Lima will shed some light
on how to completely deactivate me from the program. I'll have
to find her by myself though; the last time we spoke I may have
threatened to have her arrested. If she sees me with anyone
she'll nite than likely bail, which would mean an extra few
months to track her down again. Regardless, I'll get that some
right after I see Nivalia; I'm sure my sister would like to know
I'm still alive. After all that's taken care of I can begin
whatever training and paperwork needed to join Equinox. Which
does being me to my question. When I'm done, do I just go to the
castle to report in our is there a specific Equinox base I need
to get to?"

Broadshield continues to walk around the site next to Foxtrot,
occasionally a soldier would salute the pair, to which
Broadshield would salute back and continue on his way. "I
understand about how you would like to do this mission solo, but
you are not alone in this mission of yours. You have myself, all
of Equinox, and your platoon of ponies ready and willing to
assist you. We look out for each other. If you still wish to do
this by yourself, then that's fine, but I encourage you to at
least have some form of backup, whether it be myself, your
platoon, hell even all of Equinox to help you. If the Directors
are any indication, the others would be tough to take down if a
push turns to a shove." he says, taking a short pause before
continuing. "Anyways, I'll let you go on this mission as your
first mission as part of Equinox, but as you said, there are a
few things that we need to take care of before we send you off.
Equinox soldiers here say that Nivalia left the base by herself
after she considered herself to be fit to move. I assume she
made her way back to Canterlot, so we can go there and meet up
with her. Before that, I'll have a helicopter take us to the
Equinox base in Canterlot, get you briefed on what you will be
doing as a part of Equinox, have a quick assessment on your
skills and abilities, and get you suited up in the necessary
gear and weaponry. Any objections that you wish to make?" he
asks, coming to a stop in front of the medical tent and the
morgue.

Foxtrot listens intently as Broadshield's provides the run down
on the enlistment procedures. Knowing that he'll have another
platoon under his command males him slightly uneasy. Regardless,
it's certainly a benefit for the upcoming tasks at hoof. Once
they stop by the tents, the unicorn eyes up the morgue, rats
giving a light twitch. "No objections, everything seems pretty
straight forward for all this. I'm just used to running
operations solo, it may take some time to get reacquainted worth
the concept of immediate backup. Other than that, I'm set and
ready to go."

"That's fair, many new soldiers that have been promoted to ranks
where they have command over squads, platoons, what have you,
they have expressed their nervousness in leading soldiers, its
natural, especially for you, coming from a past of operating on
your own. Regardless, whether you do this operation solo or with
assistance, that's up to you, but I will be watching from a
distance, monitoring your progress, just so you know." he says,
continuing to walk away from the two tents, beginning to make
his way back to his office tent. "If you're ready to head off,
then I guess you're dismissed for now. Report back to me at 1100
hours here, by then we should have a helicopter ready to take us
to Canterlot." he says.

"Sounds good then, I'll be back at that time Broadshield. Thanks
again." With a casual salute, the unicorn takes his leave; a
step closer to rebuilding his life. The setting will be familiar
and new at the same time. Despite things turning for the better,
he can't shake the feeling that it won't stay that way.
