The claim that she couldn't saw Brio in half was nonsense!
Surely they could find a butter knife and a spare table cloth
or, heck, a fork and a large napkin, Brio didn't care she just
wanted the magic to happen if you get what she was sayin. Brio
paid little mind to the pony that fell but did wonder if it had
been the same one from earlier she'd roped into a surprise dance
off. Or maybe not. Truth be told all these ponies looked more or
less the same to her even despite their different colored coatas
and the like. The majority had their fancy clothes and all
funneled into the same ocean of style that Brio couldn't
       decipher. Anyway!
"You can still strap me down to a table..." Brio said, pausing
to put her now double-graphed card in her bag and then looking
back with a cheeky smile, "... and throw the knives at me. Magic
is magic and sawing me down the middle can wait till another
night since we can do two of the four you mentioned. Knives and
death defying, exciting and exhilarating for mare and stallion
watching from stage and dance floor. Or maybe you can make Clair
and I teleport between boxes or something like that.
"Do you act as her assistant on stage, Clair?" Brio asked the
stallion, "If you are the official cutest stallion, I'm sure
you'd bring in the mare audience walkin around stage so it would
       be a wasted opportunity."

"You have knives with you?" Clair asks as an aside to Clarity.
At this point Clarity has actually withdrawn a knife from
somewhere on her body and is lazily flipping it through the air
and catching it. "I always have knives, Clair. Pay attention."
Up, down. Up, twirl, and down, goes the knife. "I don't
know...are you really going to make me bring my work with
       me...?"
"Yes, she sometimes has me be her assistant." Clarity tousles
his mane again while twirling the knife. "I'm good at standing
still so I don't get hurt when there's fire and knives and
       witches flying everywhere.
"Oh, alright, you've convinced me." Clarity catches the knife
one more time and then tosses it underhanded towards Brio.
Halfway over it blurs and turns into a dove, which flaps to rise
and land in Brio's mane. "But I don't want to ruin any of the
tables here, so knife throwing is really kinda out of the
question. But I'll do some magic that won't take much setup.
Would you be so kind as to bring my eye candy up to the stage
for me? I'll be right up there." She gently nudges Clair towards
       Brio, and he walks forward.

Why Clarity had knives if she wasn't already planning on doing
tricks didn't cross Brio's mind nor did the thought of how she
got them in here in the first place since her hoping to see some
neat illusions was overriding all else. Brio, too excited for
the magic to happen, had rather foolishly not done anything to
get out of the way when Clarity threw her knife, the sudden
shift into a dove earning an entertained squee from the mare who
peeks up at the bird on her head with an excited clap of her
       hooves.
"Sure thing," Brio answers with a nod, turning to Clair as
Clarity left and grinning, "Lets go, little crouton, you can
grab onto me or I can throw a hoof over you and guide you.
Whatever you prefer. I just hope I don't go making all the other
mares here jealous when they see me walk you onto stage."
Whatever he would decide, Brio would lead him up to the stage as
asked to by Clarity. She would then linger to keep him company
while waiting for Clairty to do her stuff. Totally not because
she was hoping to be part of the show. Absolutely not because
she very much wanted to be sawed in half.
