Orchid completely stopped chewing with even more sweets hanging
out of her mouth. Her eyes widened. Oh my god! His date! I have
a date! Wait say something to him!
"i uhhh." She spat out more stuff and covered her mouth before
swallowing. "Yeah! I mean yes! Yes! I would love that! Sorry for
the food... I... You asked something that... I wanted to ask
you... yeah..."
She cleared her throat. "Dinner after dessert? It feels wrong,
but it's so worth it with you! Plus I LOVE food and you... (she
really softly said that)" Orchid covered her mouth just making
sure Asher didn't hear that part. Is she crazy? They met for
less than an hour and she's already talking about love. They
were just doing this as friends having fun. She Nervously
chuckled again trying to cover it up. "Love! haha! Love is good!
Right? Like our love for desserts!"

"Awesome! Well I guess I should be a proper gentlecolt right?"
Asher takes her plate, adds a couple more chocolaty sweets onto
it and leads them to a nearby unoccupied table. As they approach
he pulls out a chair for Orchid using a free hoof, places the
plate down using his magic and then sits down next to her.
"Don't worry, we're not leaving that table forever. It's safe...
for now." Asher laughs slightly maniacally in a joking matter,
then abruptly stops. "So, we never got much time to actually get
to know each other huh?" He says before eating a couple of
truffles, "What do you do in your free time Orchid?" Asher's
head tilts to the side after his question, genuinely interested
in her.

Orchid giggled at Asher's laugh before nodding her head and
taking a seat. "You are so nice! Thanks!"
She began to slow down as she ate too. No more spitting!
"Well, some days I work in my office and help ponies that are
suffering from nightmares. Other than that I enjoy hanging out
in my dream dimension." She chuckled. "That sounds made up I
know... Maybe I could show you sometime! The City of Clarus! I
made it myself."

"That's really nice of you!" His mind treks back to her last
statement, "Wait. You have a dream dimension? That sounds
amazing!" Asher eventually finished off the last bits on his
plate, "That sounds like quite the magical feat, I'd be honored
to see it one day." He started to grow more and more interested
in her, curious of her hobbies and interests. "I saw you fight
with what was it? Shadow figures?"

"I worked very hard on it. It was almost torn down once." Orchid
added. "Yes I dabble in dream magic... It's hard to explain...
and yes! Those were my nightmares. Unpleasant I know, but they
can be sweethearts... because I made them."

"Dream magic..." Asher smirks before taking another bite of a
piece of cake, "Interesting." He smiles again, this time
scooting closer to Orchid. "Well, I think it's really cool!
Can't wait to see it sometime."
A small moment passed before he looked back at Orchid, "You said
earlier that you were trying to make friends? Why is a nice mare
like you looking for them? You gotta have at least a few right?"

"Not many... There was that Brio Mare that was friendly
enough.... Though I don't know if we were friends really... I
hope she liked me.... I certainly liked her... I didn't talk to
the small one we rescued much... You are really the only one I
talked to really that didn't involve that giant bird for once...
Well now... I know we talked before.. but that was during the
bird... and I am just rambling again." Orchid finished up her
play and began to lick every bit of chocolate off of it.

"No." Asher smiles at Orchid while shaking his head slightly,
"You're kind of adorable when you ramble." Afterwards he
unintentionally flashes her a wide smile and another sincere
look. There was something about her, she had this presence that
just drew him in a little more with each movement. He knew he
always smiled, but just sitting and talking with her was a sure
reason for his smile to never leave his face.
Coming back to the original topic (in which he actually almost
forgot about while he was lost in his thoughts), "Oh!" Asher
waves his hoof almost dismissively, "I'm sure Brio liked you, I
spent a total of thirty seconds with her and could tell she was
a very friendly pony. You can make friends, I'm your friend and
that wasn't that hard was it?" Asher follows it up with another
chuckle but switched to a slightly more serious tone, "You're
wonderful, and if you want friends I believe you can do it.
Anypony would be crazy to not wanna be friends with you."

Orchid's heart nearly burst. She smiled back and him and tried
to form up words to say.
"I... I... You make me so happy you know that? Like... Why are
you so nice to me? Well I mean you probably are just a nice guy!
You are definitely a nice guy!" She placed her plate down.
Compliment him back! "It's only been a little bit but.... I
really like you Asher! You are like the sweetest friend I could
ask for."

Her smile was so contagious and beautif-, Asher had to look away
for a moment almost in confusion. When was the last time he
actually had feelings for somepony? It's been a while, pretty
long actually. Though nopony actually plans on catching feelings
do they? Asher was never one to dawdle or hesitate so he just
went with it.
He places the plates to the side and gets out of his seat,
offering a hoof to Orchid. "Let's go find something fun to do! I
feel like a little shenanigans are in order." Asher follows it
up with a reassuring smirk, "Don't worry about getting in
trouble either, not gonna happen."
