Feelings Baked to Perfection - Dining Hall (Orchid/Asher Only)

Orchid absolutely bolted to the dessert cart in the Dining Hall
immediately. Luckily for her, the one she was at didn't seem to
popular as she was deciding on what to devour first. Her eyes
scanned the table before she shrugged and just grabbed things
from all different plates and trays and began to stuff them in
her mouth. Yes, a sugar rush was probably going to drive her off
the walls, but she can handle a LOT of sugar before worrying
about that. Everything was amazing as she expected and mixing
chocolate cake and cookies was heaven in her mouth. She didn't
even care that her horn was impaling a cookie or that her horn
was partially covered in chocolate frosting.

After deciding to give Moonlight some time with her date, Asher
headed towards the dining hall with the intent of eating as much
as he could. Once he trotted into the large room he was over
encumbered with the different scents surrounding him. Right,
this suit isn't gonna stay clean for long! The stallion smiled
as he looked at the different tables, many were savory dinner
meals and a few other tables were made up with various desserts.
Most were surprisingly crowded, maybe he'd save dinner for last.
One dessert table caught his eye, particularly the chocolate
cake resting on it. He knew his destination and started to trot
over.
Asher hummed a lively tune and approached the cake, when he
reached out for a plate the mare next to him caught his eye. At
first he couldn't see much of her face, she was turned slightly
and was very intent on tasting different desserts as it seemed.
He smiled at her enthusiasm and looked closer, perking up when
he caught a glimpse of her face. Asher recognized her instantly,
even without the roguish getup and hood covering her. "Orchid!"
He gleefully threw is forehoof out once he greeted her.

Orchid was still stuffing her face and jumped a foot into the
air when she heard her name. She had a cookie hanging out of her
mouth as she looked at the blue stallion beside her.
"Ohh! Hi Asher!" She said with her mouth full spitting the
cookie out at him and blushing. "Sorry... You uh... Caught me at
an embarrassing time."
She stuf her hoof out as well to meet his, though she was
hesitant as that was covered in chocolate as well. She pulled
back.
"Uh sorry... Ummm..." She grabbed a napkin and tried to wipe off
her messy hooves and stretched it out again.

Asher gave Orchid a lighthearted laugh, smiling carefree as he
casually wiped the cookie mess off of his cheek. "Don't worry
about it!" He shook her now clean hoof and grabbed a plate as he
originally intended to do so. "You look lovely tonight Orchid,
it's nice to see a friendly face." Asher said while calmly
placing various cookies, pastries, and small cakes onto his
plate. It was a ridiculously high pile of sweets, sure to give
him an unneeded energy for the remainder of the night.
Once he finished with his plate, Asher brings his attention back
to Orchid. He looked at her horn and laughed, "Got a little..."
A swirl and point of his hoof towards her head pointed out the
mess, a second later his horn glowed a light blue, bringing a
napkin over to clean the cookie and frosting off of her. "So,
what brings you here anyway?" Asher asks casually as he tosses
out the messy napkin in a nearby bin.

Orchid looked at Asher and was lost in his eyes before realizing
he was talking still. "Friendly face? yeah! Friends! That's what
we are... right..? Friends?" She tapped her hooves together
nervously. Asher looked amazing too! What should I say?
"You look amazing yourself... Like wow... I mean... unless you
don't think you look good... in which case... I would agree
because... No... I mean I like it! You should like it! We...
both like it! Right? Yes! You look great!"
She was tumbling over her words and nervously stuffed a bite of
cake in her mouth. When he wiped her off she felt embarrassed.
"Yeahh... Uh sorry... I totally love dessert... and I forget my
table manners when there is unlimited desserts made by the best
bakers in Equestria right in front of me. I can be a slob...
sorry... I mean! Unless you are into slobs... No that didn't
come out right..."
Orchid just closed her eyes after that and took a deep breath.
Why was she acting like this? She's usually great at talking to
people. That's why her only friend was standing in front of her!
She knew him for only a short period of time. R-E-L-A-X!
"I am here because of you!" She face hooved (getting a small
amount of fudge on her cheek again). That was a dumb attempt at
flirting. "No I mean I came for these desserts... But if I knew
you were coming I would've came for you!"

Was she nervous? Orchid's rambling caused him to think of
Moonlight whenever she was nervous, though his sister was more
of the silent type. Nonetheless, he wasn't phased by rambling or
any sort of awkwardness with how often he was around his twin.
Asher smiled at her compliments though, knowing that she was
sincere made him happy. "Thanks!" He ran a hoof over his navy
tie and smiled, "Coming for the best desserts in Equestria is
probably one of the best reasons out there! I just thought'd
it'd be fun to get out of the house for the night and I was
right." Asher stays put at the dessert table with Orchid as he
occasionally takes bites out of the delicious treats. Orchid
wasn't lying either, the desserts were delicious.
When he looked at her again it wasn't really a surprise that she
got fudge on her cheek given the flustered state she was in. He
didn't want to laugh and make her think he was laughing at her,
if anything it was kind of adorable. Asher placed a small
chocolate mousse cake on another plate and slid it over to
Orchid, "Your favorite is obviously chocolate. I'm more of a
mint fan myself."

Why is he still here? I definitely weirded him out! But he's
here still... Maybe so it's all good then. Talk!
"Chocolate is good!" Orchid managed to say. "... Uh But mint is
too! Gum is minty and... I can tell because... your breath
smells minty and... Uh..." She quickly just consumed the
chocolate mousse and licked her lips. She needed to give him
something! Her horn glowed and picked up a mint chocolate cookie
and placed it near his face. Her eyes kept darting around. What
if he hates it? Should I have given him something else? It was
too late now. She just tapped her hooves together nervously as
her eyes continued to dart from the cookie to Asher.

Asher took a good look at the cookie dangling in front of his
face, it was... mint chocolate! "Whoa!" He brought the cookie
over to him with his magic and took a bite, letting out a
pleased sigh at the minty deliciousness of it. "Oh you're
good..." With a few more bites he devoured the cookie, his own
face starting to become covered with various crumbs and his once
impeccable suit was no longer such.
"So..." He paused before grabbing bite of an apple danish,
looking around the room curiously. "Are you here by yourself? No
date or companion?" Asher tilted his head, but remembered that
based off of what she's said and her overall persona she was
obviously more of a loner.

She was internationally cheering when he enjoyed the cookie, but
kept a calm expression on her face on the outside. She was
feeling a bit more comfortable.
"A date? I wish...Yeah... My date tonight is this dessert
table." Orchid chuckled. "I mean... Recently I have been trying
to make friends... but those plans really fell through." She
then smiled and nudged Asher.
"I have you though right?" The mare chuckled again. "I planned
on leaving after I was done with the desserts... unless of
course youuuu planned on stayingggg.... Then I might stay
longer... because we are friends! Yeah!"

Asher chuckled at her replies, "I came here with my sister." He
looks around the room and spots her in a corner with her date,
pointing a hoof over to the identical mare. "But she has a date,
so I'm technically here alone. Though..." Asher looks back at
Orchid and gives her a big smile, "If you'd allow it I could be
your date!" His offer was smooth, casual, and so friendly it was
almost hard to believe he meant it the way he did.
"Me. You. Destroying this dessert table together..." His free
hoof motions the entirety of the fancy dessert display. A nearby
waiter trotted by them, silver tray in wing and scoffed at
Ashers plan as he passed by.
"And afterwards I'll get you dinner..." The stallion then
pointed at the less crowded dinner stations, "What do you
think?"
