Cutie Mark: Bow and Arrow (Colors- Dark Blue/Blue/Grey)
Appearance: Light Blue Coat, wavy thick short brown mane (dark
brown with navy blue streaks), wavy thick long brown tail (same
colors), Blue eyes. (After the events of Reaching the Top,
Moonlight has a long scar on the side of her front right
foreleg.)
Magic Color: Dark Blue
Hometown: Vanhoover
Current Residence: Ponyville (Lives with her brother Asher
Strings)
Occupation: Competitive Bowmare (currently on hiatus)
Relationship Status: In a relationship with A.Capella Schwambart
Personality: Moonlight is a reserved unicorn. She doesn't go out
much during the day and is mostly outside during the night,
usually going to her favorite hill to sit and read. She often
goes into the woods to spend time by herself, explore, or
practice her archery. Sometimes she is accompanied by her black
cat Jiji, but he too only goes out during the night. Moonlight
only has one friend, which is her twin Asher. The two aren't
seen together too often, reason being their schedules or
preferences. She is socially awkward and usually tries to limit
her socialization with other ponies, but once comfortable with
somepony she can be very charming and sweet. Despite her
intitial social flaws, Moonlight is very brave and honest. She
is overall good, and tries to be as reasonable and logical as
possible. If managed to get out of her shell, she would prove
loyal, protective and loving to the ones she cares about. She
can be a bit stubborn at times and on bad days has little
patience and can be somewhat cold.
Likes: Archery. Apple pie from Sweet Apple Acres. Nighttime.
Princess Luna. Naps. Hot Cocoa/Coffee
Dislikes: Pretentious and Stuck up ponies. Admitting Defeat.
Summer/Heat. Pears. Breaking out into song/musical numbers
Pets: Black Cat named Jiji (male). Jiji usually stays in the
cottage and sits in the windows, sometimes accompanying
Moonlight on her night strolls. Also enjoys annoying Asher,
usually in the form of purposely knocking his things over.
Other: Claims to hate when everypony sings all the time, and
claims to not like singing herself. But when alone Moonlight
will sometimes sing, and is actually fairly good at it.Due to
spending most of her life in Vanhoover, she has a slight accent.
(Obviously think Canadian). Allergic to peaches.
Gear: Satchel for essentials. Moonlight usually doesn't wear
clothes, but when she does she'll wear her brown utility jacket
with multiple pockets.
Special Power: Moonlight's Bow: Her bow is infused with magic
that activates at night. The magic is powered by the moonlight
and causes a powerful shower of moonlit glowing arrows/swirls in
her bow also glow. Can summon her bow with her magic. - Moonlit
Power: Moonlight has the magical ability to extract the
moonlight from the moon and capture it. Though she almost never
uses her raw power and instead just relies on her bow.
Bow Description: Thick dark wooden long bow. Swirled into the
wood is a special moonlit activated magic that is colored a dark
blue (but lights up a very bright whitish blue color when
activated.) Moonlight and her late father crafted the bow
together. Refers to her bow as 'Jenny'. (Named after her
instructor.) Moonlight tries to avoid using the power, choosing
only to use it in emergencies or if she's in danger.
Strengths: Archery. Bow Crafting.
Minor Strengths: Stealth/Agility. Navigational Skills/Celestial
Navigation.
Weaknesses: Hoof to hoof combat/close combat. Although a
unicorn, Moonlight isn't very proficient at magical spells. Her
magic is limited to basic levitation, the magic that summons her
bow, and her moonlit power. She most recently learned a
magelight spell with help from Asher.
Twin Power: Moonlight is on the receiving end of Asher's twin
power. If she is in danger Asher can telepathically communicate
with her, also being able to see through her eyes. If need be,
Asher can teleport to her location immediately (Note: He can
only teleport using this power, otherwise he is unable to by
himself.) There are currently a couple downfalls to the power.
1: Asher only possesses it. 2: Once Asher sees through
Moonlight's eyes, she is unable to move or see her surroundings,
leaving only blackness until he is finished. (Moonlight
currently has an undiscovered magical ability.)
Family: Rosalie (Mother/Deceased) Rylen (Father/Deceased)
Identical twin brother: Asher Strings
Bio: Moonlight Mist was born in Vanhoover. She is a twin,
younger by two minutes. Her mother Rosalie was a very respected
musician, mainly being noticed for her beautiful voice.
Moonlight's father, Rylen was a blacksmith in downtown
Vanhoover. She was very close to her father, spending most of
her free time as a filly sitting in his shop. There she learned
the art of crafting, but it wasn't her true calling...only a
small bit of it.
Moonlight wasn't as charismatic as her older twin Asher. At
school she always sat alone, focusing more on her studies than
making friends. As a result she was labeled a bookworm and very
asocial. They laughed at her and made up hurtful lies about
Moonlight for no particular reason other than her timid
introverted nature. Moonlight preferred the only ponies to
socialize with were her family.
If Moonlight wasn't at her fathers shop and Asher wasn't singing
with their mother, the twins would be seen together. Asher was
the opposite of Moonlight, he was charismatic, friendly,
approachable and outgoing. Everypony loved Asher, he had tons of
friends where Moonlight had one...which was him.
Yet out of all Asher's friends, Moonlight was his closest and
most dear. They would sit together and drink tea, perhaps read
or play games.
With all the days spent in her fathers shop, Moonlight
eventually peaked interest in bows. Soon after she started
taking lessons.
Once she took her first lessons and was a very promising pupil
and natural talent, her teacher was very proud and recommended
the advanced classes. After her studies in the advanced class,
she earned her cutie mark.
Moonlight and her father crafted her first and only bow
together, which took a lot of hard work but it brought the two
even closer together.
Moonlight named her bow Jenny, after her instructor she grew to
admire.
Years passed, Moonlight now a young mare. She won many Archery
competitions with Jenny, not once using the magic within her for
an advantage. Her brother Asher was just starting his job as a
voice coach alongside their mother teaching musically gifted
ponies.
Their father was still working in the same old shop, everything
being the way it should.
One day, out of the blue. Their parents fell gravely ill. The
doctors couldn't find the source or cause of the illness,
completely baffled. They tried their hardest with the best
medicine they had available, but they failed.
One day, Moonlight's parents were alive and healthy. The next,
they were gone.
Distraught the twins decided it would be best to make a fresh
start, somewhere new. Moonlight and her brother moved to
Ponyville a year after the death of their parents. Together,
they bought a small cottage along the edge of Ponyville close to
the Evergreen Forest.
Moonlight took a break from competitions for a while, Asher
continued his teaching in town.
Moonlight didn't like being around other ponies if she didn't
need to be, mostly leaving her cottage at night.
Together, Moonlight and Asher will persevere and make a new life
in Ponyville.
Update(s):
-Moonlight found friendship with Nivalia, who she considers her
best friend.
-Moonlight cut her mane, where it was long before it is now
short and choppy.
