       ---------------------------------------------------------
Unperturbed as ever, the undead forgot all about Clair and
grinned his gap toothed and lopsided grin, obligatory thanks to
his condition, and rocked himself or his head side to side,
while his disembodied legs slithered about the small clearing
like a troupe of four caterpillars as they rounded up the
various fragments of Sadowi into a neat pile beside him.
"D'aww, don't throw up yet," he chuckled. "It's not even--," he
looked up past the gap in the trees towards the sky. "um,
       teatime?"
He watched without moving as everyone else prepared to leave; he
couldn't go anywhere in this state, so he promptly agreed with
the blind grey unicorn and, in a manner, waved them farewell.
"Leaving so soon? Ach well, I'll see all of you later. The fight
with your bird hopefully left him or her dead, but now I gotta
       rest a bit."
His ramblings turned to mumblings. "I might need a new hobby,
like ... knitting. I can easily pass the time and maybe then I
can put, oh wait. I need at least two legs. Darn..."

"Okay, it's a plan!" Brio stepped over to Clair and readied to
pick him back up, "If there's somethin a creepin up then maybe
it would be best to hover since then we can duck into the canopy
and you won't have to get jostled around too much if we have to
run." She again thought of how she had no weapons to fend off
any spooky scares. If anything did catch up to her and Clair on
their way back she'd need to pull off some stunts, which would
be fine it's just that she hadn't practiced them much with the
addition of an entire other pony's weight thrown on top. He'd
have to be ready for a bit of a ride in this case, Brio hoping
the magician could do the same spells as she had when watching
them fall from the web but realizing that may be difficult while
       under some form of attack.
Here's hoping we just walk out of here...
"Don't be afraid to hold on tight, little crouton, you might
have to deal with some flips and junk on the way out of here,"
she warned Clair before turning to Orchid, "Ready when you are,
       lead the way!"

"Leading! Quickly leading!" Orchid shivered at the thought of
whatever made that noise before quickly nodding and heading back
towards the entrance of the Everfree as past as she could
without leaving the other two in the dust. She knew a pretty
efficient and safe path back and the worst case scenario in her
mind at the moment would be having to bring them back to
Nightmore for a little bit to hide or... if whatever wanted to
attack them followed her in, kicking it's butt. She was stronger
       there.

By: Clair Date: September 8, 2017, 2:08 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Clair leans against the Bright one in preparation for being
picked up again, nodding in response to her instructions. "Just
don't put me in any spider salad," he mumbles, trying to shut
out the noise that may have drowned out his soft voice. He
doesn't think she will, though. It may just be the shock setting
back in, or the way her life shines so brightly that it's harder
for him to see the danger, but he feels safe with her. She won't
       hurt him.
That feeling lasts right about until they're actually in the
air, with his hind legs dangling freely and the pain almost
making him forget about the noise. Apparently whatever had been
holding his legs still on the way down from the web isn't doing
so now. But they're being pursued, and don't have time to get a
       better solution.
The chattering noise stays stationary for a bit as the group
moves out, giving the group some relief before it leaves the
apparent carcass of Sadowi where it lies to chase after them. A
sharp eye watching their back would occasionally see glimpses of
small, many-legged furry creatures passing from bush to bush in
pursuit of the group, the chattering growing in volume but only
       slowly gaining on them.
Clair holds on to his carrier as tightly as he can, sobbing
quietly at the pain. Why wasn't there the same...but then he
remembers. He can do something about his legs too. He just
didn't think about it much because he never really needed to
think about doing things for himself. Thank goodness he
remembers about it now, not too long after they got going. Not
giving himself time to feel stupid, his horn glows and a white
glow pulls his hind legs up against his body. Too tight. Too
tight! He relaxes his grip on them, a little too much, then
tightens it again until it stops being such an issue.
Again, not a perfect solution, but enough to shut his legs up
about themselves so he could remember that they aren't the only
thing they need to worry about right now. And it also reminded
him that he had another spell that could be useful here. Now
only whimpering instead of crying about his legs, he tosses off
another spell while holding them up that makes him slightly
lighter. He already wasn't very heavy, and this should only
help, and maybe they can outrun the chattering noise that has
been growing until it's all he can think about.

By: Brio Dreamer Date: September 8, 2017, 11:48 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Brio only afforded herself brief glances back at the pursuing
whats and suches that were a-skitterin and a-critterin after
them. All she was able to see were very quick bits and pieces
but, at the very least, she was able to pick up on their furry
nature. She couldn't quite see how many legs they were using but
that didn't matter in her mind as she just wanted to discover
how furry they were. Were they just slightly hairy or full blown
fuzzy? She needed to know these things! But, alas, it seemed
such mysteries could be left unsolved as she doubted the other
two ponies in their fleeing party would be open to the idea of
waiting and seeing what was coming.
At Clair's whimpering she put on a sympathetic frown. She was
sorry to have to put him through that with her flying and the
branches and brush she was forced to duck dive and dodge, but
the only other option would have been to land and just run,
which would have probably put them in greater danger from what
was trying to chase them down. She'd have to apologize for being
rough even despite her attempts to ease her maneuvers to the
very basic bare bones necessity. Fortunately when he started
using his fancy unicorn glows to start easing up his own
problems she was able to better navigate. The lightening of the
load and keeping of his legs from dangling did much to help her
keep things smooth in the air, but the occasional avoiding of a
creepy arm shaped tree limb was still called for.
"Are we there yet?" Brio called to Orchid as she weaved around
more of the Everfree's foliage and doing her best to outpace the
creatures, "I kind of landed in the middle of this area when I
saw you guys and flew over to catch up so I didn't come from the
ground. I'm kind of super lost on the ground actually!" She
sounded a short laugh as if everything was totally fine.

Orchid stopped at a fork before thinking and remembering and
       heading down the correct path.
       "Yes! We are close!"
She shivered again at the sound and really picked up her pace to
a near gallop as she looked behind her to make sure Brio and
Clair were close still. "Is Clair alright? Do you think we
should help him with his leg? We are really close to the exit!"

       ---------------------------------------------------------
Clair couldn't hear the two mares talking. All the chattering.
It keeps growing until it's all he knows of, all he's ever
known, all he'll ever know, the noise, noise, chatter, chatter,
noise, so loud it threatens to swallow him up into oblivion.
And then it's gone. When they see the break in the trees the
noise stops, the silence afterwards nearly as loud as the sound
had been. He can hear them again, the unicorn's hoofsteps
through the foliage, the bright one's wingbeats, the...bigger
wingbeats? They're not coming from the pony who's carrying him.
       What-
There's a crashing through the trees above them and a large bird
flaps down to land on the ground between them and the treeline.
It's the same one that had taken Clair and his outfit, complete
with cuts and bruises from its altercation with them. In its
mouth is a small shiny thing.
It hops forward a couple times until it's about ten feet in
front of them, towering (as large birds are wont to do), looks
to Brio, and drops her compass on the ground, then lets out a
       squawk.

"We should be good I think!" Brio didn't want to speak for Clair
about his own injuries, but his managing to to pull his legs up
and keep them more still gave her the impression that he should
be fine so long as they were as close as Orchid assured. When
they finally do near the edge of the forest and the noise
chasing them dies, Brio felt relieved. Seemed they'd be done
with all this running around soon, Clair would be getting the
help he needed and she would be free to sneaky sneak back into
the forest and hunt down the possibly cuddly yet probably
vicious wildlife that had been after them to satiate her own
       curiosity.
Her line of thought was cut off when the bird from before
arrived to block their path. Brio hummed as it towered,
wondering if she'd be able to outmaneuver and lose it by using
the trees and her smaller side to her advantage should it decide
it wanted to scoop them up. She noticed the shiny thing held in
its beak and tilted her head then let out an excited gasp when
she saw what it was being dropped off in front of them.
"My compass!" she said, gently lowering Clair down to be beside
Orchid so that someone could watch him as she hovered forward
and retrieved her lost possession, "I totally forgot about it
back at the nest! Oh it would have been super tricky trying to
find my way back when I realized it was gone! I haven't really
been looking out for landmarks the last while or anything so I'd
have probably just flown in concentric circles and, lemme tell
ya, the last time I had to do that it took foreeeeeever!" She
turned the compass over and fluttered up into the air to be more
at eye level with the creature, seemingly totally comfortable
with being this close to it as she gave it a quick peck on its
beak and an enthusiastic wave to show her gratitude, "Thanks so
       much, Mr Birdo!"

"Wow... I guess kidnappers can still be sweet hearts huh?"
Orchid chuckled as she mumbled that to herself. She turned and
made sure Clair was doing alright.

"How are you holding up little guy?" She asked. "I really hope
we are in the clear and all the fighting and running and spider
       webs are over."

Clair leans against the unicorn when he's set down by the
pegasus and yawns, still holding his legs against him magically.
He didn't realize how tired he'd been getting with everything
going on all at once, with the noise, and the pain, and the
running..."I'm-" he starts to say, but holds his hooves over his
ears as the bird lets out a screech after the bright pegasus
kiss. Not an aggressive one, quite the opposite, but still loud.
Then it flaps and takes off back through the canopy and flies
back the way it came from.
Clair lets go of his ears and yawns again. "I'm tired. Can I go
home soon...or..." No, that's not where he should go.
Something...something about his legs..."or...I guess the
       hospital..."
