Ebony lands in a small clearing and waits for Avery. When she
lands next to him, he points his wings to a small trail into the
forest, "There was a spot that I found a while back while I was
scouting the woods. A creek, with a small pond and waterfall. It
was a lovely sight during the day, but at night?" He looks over
his shoulder to her, "You have to see it for yourself. Follow
me." He leads the mare through the brush and trees for some time
until they reach an opening. The view was breathtaking. Flowers
and mushrooms glow a variety of colors under the pale light of
the moon. The creek leads to a waterfall and a pond large enough
to swim in. Ebony steps forward and looks around, taking in the
beauty of it all.

Avery follows Ebony through the forest curious of what was to
come, "It sounds almost too good to be true." She lets out a
giggle while continuing to follow him through the woods. When
they make it to the pond her mouth drops at the sight before
them. The waterfall, the plants and fireflies...it was like
something she'd read from her books. Avery slowly trotted and
stood next to Ebony and gazed upon the lovely sight, "This...is
beautiful." She slowly took a couple steps and stood at the edge
of the pond before lightly placing one of her hooves in, "The
water is surprisingly clear." The mare pauses for a moment just
to embrace her surroundings, it was so peaceful and quiet.
"Thank you for taking me here Ebony...it's remarkable."

"It's my pleasure, Avery," Ebony says as he sits next to her to
take in the view. "When I get the chance, I come here to get
away from it all. To clear my head; to unwind..." the stallion
dips his hoof into the water, "and to take the occasional swim.
In fact..." Coldsteel reaches down and takes off his brace.
"I'll probably jump in for a quick dip." He then takes of his
jacket and stretches, his toned body revealing a few more scars
underneath. "Care to join me?" The Noctral slowly ventures in
until his bottom half is completely submerged, "The water is
just fine this evening."

Avery couldn't help but check out Ebony as he took off his
jacket and stepped in the water, Avery, stay cool. Definitely
don't let him see you gawking. Avery dips her hoof in the water
again and sighs, "Well...it would be rude to say no." She lets
out a nervous giggle before taking off her pink sundress and
glasses, placing them onto Ebony's jacket. The mare glides into
the pond, keeping herself afloat with her wings. "Whoa, it is
really nice in here." Avery swims next to Ebony before splashing
him playfully, "Ha! I gotcha!"

Ebony would be lying to himself if he said he didn't sneak a
peek at Avery slipping out her dress. It was more of a
distraction for him to get thoroughly splashed with water
though. Chuckling, he splashes some over to her before diving
into the depths of the pond. Moments later he emerges right
underneath the small waterfall, letting the cooling water wash
over his head. It was so soothing, so refreshing, the the glow
of the lightning bugs broke him out of his trance. He turns
around towards the small cave behind the waterfall and looks in,
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?"

Avery floats around while Ebony takes his swim, but looks up
upon his discovery of the cave. A light splash is heard when she
swims over to him, squinting while she tries to find her way.
"We should go inside!" Before Ebony could respond she swims into
the cave, giggling with excitement.

Coldsteel simply shakes his head and follows her in. The lining
of the cave glows an eerie green from the vegetation living on
its rocky walls. His vision is just as clear in the dark as it
is in the day, so he uses it to steer clear of any obstacles.
Once the two venture deep enough, the reach a large cavern lined
all over with various gemstones. A rainbow of color floods the
chamber as the light of the room seeps in through the cracks.
Ebony, already have seen this before, simply makes his way to a
ledge and crawls out of the water. He spots parts of the ceiling
moving, but isn't phased at all, "So Avery, what do you think?"

Avery knew the sight before her was beautiful, but she still
sighs with a tinge of sadness. The cavern they were in was
filled with all sorts of colors, but she couldn't see anything
but blurs and colors meshing together. "I...I can't see anything
very well. It's all very blurry..." Her ears perk up as she
looks at the walls, "Oh!" She trots over to the nearby wall and
leans in very close, from this short distance she can see the
gemstones and the colors perfectly. "They're so beautiful." A
smile spreads across her face as she lightly caresses the wall,
the gemstones gleamed as she ran her hoof across them.
"Wow. This place is just full of surprises..." She trots back
over to Ebony and looks around once again.

"It certainly is," Ebony nods as he looks up at the ceiling. He
approaches Avery and lifts his wing over her. "Now... we're not
he only ones in here. Stay calm, I'm just going to call out to a
few friends." The noctral lets out a sharp whistle, which is
followed by a loud rustling throughout the cave. Chirping and
screeching echo throughout the cave as a flurry of bats drop
from the ceiling. Ebony lifts out his other wing as he watches
the flock of bats fly around. Most end up escaping though a
large opening at the ceiling of the cave as few remain behind
and flutter around.

Avery's face beams with excitement as the bats fly around them.
She watches as little black blurs move around the cave, a smile
spreading across her face. Her voice comes out as a whisper,
trying her best not to be too loud. "There's so many, so
cute..." Avery uses her wing to slowly wave at the bats, it was
silly but she's never seen any this close before.
