       Lifeline was born in Canterlot. As an only child, she had a lot
       of alone time she actually spent running around the outskirts of
       the city in the mountains with her friends. She also was able to
       see the princesses and was so inspired by their willingness to
       help others. Her parents saw this and signed her up to be a
       filly scout. To this day she carries a picture of herself in the
       little filly scout vest and uniform with her big glasses on in
       one of her pockets along with a few patches she that she felt
       were special. She was dedicated to the program even through her
       high school years. She had almost every patch there was and
       actually keeps the vest in her locker.
       After high school, she knew school would be expensive for her
       and she was not smart enough for many academic scholarships.
       After some research, Lifeline found the International Alliance
       or IA. They were a global organization that works to help
       protect civilians in other nations that may be suffering from
       genocide or a ongoing war. They also intervened when the council
       and board agree there is one clear side in the war that is in
       the wrong. She spent four years learning to be a medic in
       college and got to go for free. Afterwards, she was shipped
       around the world to help the IA fight in various conflicts. She
       earned the nickname Doc Smiles after she got a pretty nasty
       injury. While blood was going everywhere, she still managed to
       make a smile on her face and crack a pun relaxing the crew
       around her as she was extracted.
       Lifeline’s service was going great until one incident. She was
       walking the streets alone when she saw the town militia
       harassing a filly. The rules of engagement at that time
       prohibited her from firing unless fired upon. However, she
       didn’t care and instincts made her pull the trigger. She got
       into deep trouble and was sent home to work in the IA offices
       around Equestria. She is stationed at the headquarters in
       Canterlot as a receptionist. After working there, she was
       finally able to help out in the IA hospital before they allowed
       her to assist the Royal Guard should they request any help,
       still working at the front desk of various offices if nopony
       needs her help. Lifeline still loves the organization and lives
       in the IA district.
