Roni looks over to Mesa and shakes his head, "Nah, haven't seen
him or Pepper. Right now though, we got some unwanted company.
We gotta find them pronto!" The stallion begins to make his way
through the maze, "Stay close, call out if you see them."
Foxtrot carefully trots through the boxes and crates, keeping an
       eye out for any movement. The designated numbers catch his eye;
he found them, most of them. Still, he had to get to higher
ground to find the others. He jumps from crate to create until
he finds himself near ceiling height. It won't take long for him
to find Mesa, Roni, Pepper was further out but... oh no.
Foxtrot's ears perk up as he starts leaping across the boxes. If
he doesn't make it in time, things are going to get really ugly.

Mesa followed Roni closely, faint concern on her face at hearing
that they weren't alone. She kept her eyes open for any other
crates with the numbers they were looking for, but mostly looked
around for Foxtrot. At least she had her... wait. Dammit. She
must have left the case with her bow in deeper in the maze. She
didn't want to fly again, not if that would give her location
away to less-than-friendly ponies. Fortunately, she had a good
sense of direction, and she knew they were headed towards where
       she had left the case.

Pepper rounds the corner to catch glimpse of a figure a short
distance away from him. Without saying a word, the stallion
gives chase and makes a sharp left. His eyes widen though as he
runs right into several guards in black. Before he can say a
thing, they charge the pony and knock him to the floor. They
call out and alert the others, who come rushing over to the
scene. Pepper is dragged over to the stallion in white and
tossed to his hooves. He stomps down onto Pepper's face,
breaking the pony's nose. "I know there's more of you. A car
like that sitting outside my turf? No idiot runs this by
themselves. Where are they?" Pepper hesitates, only to be struck
once again in the face. "Spread out! Look for anyone else and
bring them here. If they give you any trouble, waste em!" The
group disperses, looking all over the place for anyone else
sneaking around. Only Pepper, the stallion in white, and four of
       his guards stay in place.
Foxtrot instantly leaps down into cover when he sees the guards
assimilate into the maze. There's only seven, so he gets to
work. The mysterious figure awaiting in the dark also starts
moving. One by one, the stallions in suits were ambushed and
knocked out. One does manage to get a shot out, alerting
       everyone that things have escalated.

Mesa's muscles were tense as they continued through the maze.
Every instinct was telling her to fly, to get a better view of
what was going on. No! She mustn't be an easy target. When a
shot rang out, her eyes widened. She needed her bow. Now. Giving
into her instincts, she shot up into the air only long enough to
spy her abandoned case before she started to dive back down,
       hoping nopony had seen her.

Foxtrot bashes the butt of his new weapon into a guard's chin,
sending him reeling to the floor. He wipes off some sweat before
continuing through the maze. He had already taken three out, but
there were more out there. For now, he has to find the others. A
rattle of gunfire goes off, getting everyone's attention as the
stallion in white shouts out, "Alright! If anyone other than my
guys are in here, you better come out now or else this guy will
be riddled!" Moment's later, Foxtrot comes out with his hoofs in
the air, his newly acquired weapon not to be seen. He's
immediately assaulted by the guards and dragged over to the lead
stallion, who gives him a few well placed kicks as well.
The mystery pony, who has downed their second guard, notices the
pegasus shoot into the air. Good, that's one less to keep track
of. They go over to the clearing to find one of them subdued.
With a plan in motion, they bound up to one of the ceiling
supports. Roni himself starts to head back to the clearing,
though he approaches them much more carefully.

Mesa reached her case and immediately flung it open. She hastily
pulled off her dress and headband, leaving them on the floor.
She strapped on her harness with her sheathed knife and bolts,
and pulled out her crossbow. Adrenaline was making her hurry,
and in a moment of pure carelessness, instead of pulling out a
tranquilizer dart like she normally did when dealing with
hostile ponies, she loaded her bow with a normal bolt. Much like
she was dealing with a rabid animal. That's when she heard the
gunfire and yell. Who was he referring to? It could be any of
the three stallions Mesa was with, and her ears went back.
Including Foxtrot. Mesa had to do something, but what?
She started flying again, this time much lower, barely clearing
most of the crates. She slowly started making her way towards
the clearing, keeping out of sight behind tall stacks of crates.
When she reached a particularly tall and slightly
unstable-looked stack, she alighted on top of it and peered over
the edge to see both Pepper and Foxtrot surrounded by guards.
She saw the white-suited one. That's got to be the leader... If
I took him out, what would happen? No, that's too risky, what if
they killed Foxtrot and Pepper on the spot?! So Mesa just lay
flat against the top of the crate with her crossbow, seized by
indecision as she desperately tried to figure out what to do.

The stallion in white; a large, cream colored earth pony with a
jet black mane, bore a scar that ran through his left eye. His
stare shown an expression of soothing rage; like a bomb ready to
detonate. He pulls out his revolver and points it at Pepper.
"Anyone else!?" Pepper looked up at him with a sharp glare and
spat blood onto the white suit. A loud bang goes off as another
bullet grazes the stallion in the shoulder. "That's it! Just
waste them and check the building! Line them up!"
Foxtrot and Pepper are dragged over to the nearby wall. Foxtrot
surprisingly hasn't resisted at all; no words, actions,
anything. Probably due to his attention to the ceiling. They
both hit the stone wall behind them; Pepper was struggling to
stay up, while Foxtrot simply positioned his hind hooves facing
away from the gangsters. His Plan B was set, now let's see what
       Plan A is.
The guards in black line up a short distance away, their guns
pointed right at the two targets. The scarred stallion aims his
own firearm, a ghastly grin stretched across his face, "Fire!"
The sound of .45 caliber rounds being fired at 700 rounds per
minutes echo throughout the warehouse, echoing all over. Foxtrot
and Pepper... still alive. The gangsters lower their hoofs to
find a line of bullets fired into the ground between them and
       their targets.
"Your night of menacing malice has come to an end, Scarhoof!"
Hovering into the air high above them, a mare; dressed in a
black trench coat with a silver scarf and a tommy gun. Her
golden eyes easily allow her sight through the darkness; not
that there's any difficulty spotting the obvious boss in charge.
The noctral's ears appear split, one pointed to Mesa, the other
aimed at the gang. "Those crates won't make it out of this
warehouse! You and your heinous henchmen will know the righteous
fury of... The Shroud!" She dives in and opens fire on Scarhoof
       and his group.
Foxtrot couldn't help but chuckle as bullets fly by, contrary to
Pepper freaking out and taking cover. "Well how about that? I
knew that wasn't just a cosplay outfit." The unicorn encases
himself in a small bubble shield, which easily deflects any
stray rounds that come his way. He looks up to the rooftop and
manages to spot something laying there. Foxtrot couldn't tell
who or what that could be; the gunshots did take priority
though, so he ducks into the same cover next to Pepper. "Hey,
       how are you holding up?"
"Pretty terrible, thank you," Pepper answers as he wipes off
some blood from his nose. "I wish I had a shooter right now."
Foxtrot reaches into his jacket and retrieves a pistol from one
of the guards. He passes it and two more clips to Pepper. Pepper
certainly wasn't going to object, "Thanks. But what about you?
Fancy magic won't do too well around here."
"No worries," Foxtrot replies as his front hooves glow. Out of
nowhere, The Annihilator pops out and lands comfortably in his
grip; already loaded and ready to go. The unicorn emerges from
cover and fires upon Scarhoof and his security.

Mesa's ears went back in alarm at Scarhoof's order. No longer
hesitating, she readied her crossbow, aiming it directly at
       Scarhoof's side.
"Are you sure you want to do that?" Her father whispered in her
ear, and Mesa started violently, nearly losing her grip on her
bow. Her head swiveled over to where the voice had come from,
but there as nothing to be seen. It was the gunfire that brought
Mesa's attention back to the ponies below, and she paled, eyes
searching for the bullet-riddled corpses she expected to see.
No! This couldn't happen, not again....
She blinked in surprise at seeing Foxtrot and Pepper relatively
unharmed. Everything that happened next seemed to happen very
quickly, and suddenly the warehouse was a battle zone.
Not about to get sidetracked again, Mesa narrowed her eyes and
readied her bow, Scarhoof himself in her sights. Her hoof
tightened over the trigger and the sharp bolt shot through the
air towards the cream stallion. Not waiting to see if her aim
was true, she quickly reloaded her bow and took shot after shot
       at the hostile ponies.

Scarhoof reeled back at the sudden barrage of bullets flying
towards him. Her want expecting the bolt, however, and is pegged
right in the shoulder. He lets out a slew of curses as he turns
to Mesa and let's out a short spray of rounds. His guards fall
back, trying to hold back Pepper and Fox. Roni stats behind
cover and fires a few times, more concerned with not getting hit
       above all else.
The Shroud banks and dives around them all, landing on one of
the guards. She knocks him out before running around the corner.
A hoof swings around and knocks her to the floor. The Noctral
didn't fully recover before she's struck again and again.
By now, the mobsters have gotten themselves cornered. Scarhoof,
with bolt still implanted, keeps firing at the others.

Mesa dove behind the stack just in time to avoid the bullets,
one of them swishing dangerously close to the top of her mane.
She peeked out, waiting for Scarhoof to drop from the
tranquilizer. Suddenly her eyes widened, and she quietly swore.
How could she have been so careless?! Now, not only had she used
a normal bolt against a pony- which went completely against her
own moral code- now, she had to take another shot and hope she
       hit him!
Cursing her own idiocy, she took a tranquilizer of her belt and
reloaded her crossbow again. She took another shot at Scarhoof's
shoulder, before her attention was drawn to the noctral, who
looked to be having a bad time of it. Mesa took a deep breath
and, still holding her now unloaded bow, dove down towards the
Shroud. She didn't like having to do this, not one bit, but she
shoved the fact that she was about to cause pain into the back
of her mind. With that, she grabbed the crossbow by its limbs
and swung the stock hard at the head of the nearest pony
       attacking the noctral.
