Broadshield just solemnly looks down at his half-empty jug of
drink as he listens to his story. "I'm sorry to hear it didn't
work out. And since you dropped your scholarship, you had very
little options left for you after, well... baseball didn't 'pan
out the way you wanted', as you put it." he mutters, taking a
nice long drink before placing the mug down with a dull thud,
the bartender almost immediately filling it back up. "And now
you play for the Ponyville Dodgers. At least from what I hear,
they aren't like those pricks in the Manehatten Mets. I hear
they're so up themselves, they make the upper-class Canterlot
citizens look humble." he says. All of this is just stuff he
hears in the mess hall, as to whether or not there is a gain of
truth in them, he'll never know.

"Hah, no they are all good stallions. A lot of them are still my
friends... See baseballs players for the most part respect one
another. We grew as a team and bonded during my time there."
Caleb too another drink. "I don't want to bore you with all my
'sad' baseball life." He chuckled. "I still have fun with the
sport and i've gotten a lot better at just tuning out unwanted
       noise when I wanted to."
