Personality:
-A rude gentlemare, lacking the proper Canterlot etiquette, but
giving the process of learning it zero effort
-Capable of being businesslike, when interacting with customers,
but much looser around friends, and on her freetime
-Mostly calm, but easily irritated, come a certain type of
situation. Even more so, if somepony dares to mess around in her
workshop
-Naive, tomboyish mare
-Somewhat insecure about relationships, mostly blocking such
"silly business" away from her life
-Always clothed. She never goes outside naked
-One might just catch her singing, while she works, as long as
she thinks she's alone
Relationship: -
Abilities:
-Extraordinarily strong levitation/telekinesis
-Vast knowledge over machines and technology, and skilled in
learning new tech and machinery
-Endurant pony
-Enchanted, magic assisted toolbox, that she is able to "take
out" and "stash away" thanks to enchantments put on the tools
for her
Weaknesses/Fears:
-Magical ineptitude. Unable to cast anything beyond
levitation/telekinesis
-Insecure mare when around other ponies, if she's not clothed.
-Been known to drink, but she assures everypony who asks about
it, that she has stopped
-Fear of losing what she has achieved in her life so far
Backstory: Golden Gear was born in Manehattan, and she was the
second foal of the family. Growing up in the shadow of her big
sister, who to this day treats Golden as a foal (much to her
annoyance) Golden grew to always compete with her sister in
everything, be it something simple like who gets the last
cookie, or who gets to take apart something broken their dad
sometimes brought home from work. When hearing that instead of
following in her mother's hoof steps, Golden's sister instead
moved away to become a royal guard, Golden too decided to move
away from her family, once she reached the proper age. Both her
parents worked with some sort of machinery, her father was a
mechanic fixing trains, and her mother was a watchmaker. Golden
learned both their crafts surprisingly fast, before she began to
broaden her knowledge about every machine around her, that she
got her hooves on. Working with her father, Golden saved up
enough bits, to get an old house from Canterlot, where she moved
at the age of 19. The start was rough, but with time, Golden has
managed to build up a small business for herself, working as a
mechanic for hire, turning no job down, that comes her way.
Golden has gained a very mixed reputation in the capital city of
Equestria. Nobles despise both her attitude, and the house she
has, that is in the middle of a richer area of Canterlot, while
many commoners now come to her every time they need a mechanic's
help with something. From the young age, Golden has donned some
kind of work wear, when ever she wasn't sleeping, and nowadays
refuses to go anywhere naked. She's always seen in blue
overalls, wearing a set of work boots, a sturdy tool belt, and a
pair of goggles, that rest on her forehead, when ever not in
use.
