       Name: Morgayne, meaning “bright sea”
       Species: Selkie
       Gender: Female
       Age: About 125
       Appearance: In her seal from, Morgayne is dark grey and a sleek
       build. She has dark, intelligent eyes and long whiskers. In her
       earth pony form, she is quite beautiful, with an almost
       alicorn-esque build and soft, pale grey fur. Her mane and tail
       long and perpetually damp, and range from a medium to light
       blue. Her eyes are a dark grey.
       About Selkies:
       - Selkies are magical seals that can shed their seal skin and
       turn into earth ponies at will. They tend to be very beautiful
       in both their pony and seal form.
       - In both forms, they possess a rare brand of magic. They can
       induce any creature into a trance, and surround them with the
       most complex of illusions. This trance can be induced and
       illusions created by two ways- by touch or by song. Illusions
       created by touch are slightly more powerful than ones created by
       song. The latter only tends to last as long as the subject does
       realizes their surroundings are not real. The former is the
       same, however an outside source is usually needed to help the
       subject come to this realization. Illusions cast by selkies when
       they are in their seal form are much more powerful, and the
       subject generally cannot awaken without the help of the selkie
       herself. One reason it can be difficult to awaken from a
       selkie’s illusion, is because they often craft beautiful,
       peaceful illusions that the subject doesn’t want to call out as
       fake. The trance is light enough that when ponies talk when
       surrounded by their illusions, they talk in the waking world as
       well, but heavy enough that when they think they move around in
       their illusion, they do not actually do so.
       - All selkies are female. To find pony mates, selkies shed their
       seal skin and find a stallion on land. They stay with a stallion
       for however long is necessary, before they leave them and return
       to the water, bearing their daughter in seal form.
       - Selkies, being magical by nature, have quite a long lifespan.
       A selkie, on average, lives about five hundred years. They
       cannot shed their seal skin until they are around fifty. They
       are considered fully mature when they reach one hundred years,
       and generally will have left their mother by then.
       - Technically, selkies can go without their skins for as long as
       they like. However, if they don’t transform back into a seal
       regularly, they quickly become depressed.
       - Selkies generally live in small communities that work together
       to raise each other’s pups. This is not true for some family
       lines, however.
