"Usual nine to five work?" Opal quoted from Fox's question, to
which she chortled, as if she'd heared a bad joke. "I wasn't
even supposed to be here in the first place, and this thing
should've been at the stadium hours ago. But, as I said earlier,
messy logistics got in the way."
Opal gazed down the road, and noticed all the street lamps have
lit up. She then smiled at the stadium beign only one block away
before looking back at Fox. "By the way, maybe I'm wrong, but
you seem like the kind of pony who's got some serious know-how
on heavy-duty gear. The jacket gives it away." Opal comments,
lifting a hoof to point at Foxtrot's jacket.

The unicorn nods as he continues pushing the box, noting the
distance they're closing in. "Yea, I do have some experience
with this kind of stuff. My current work in the guard gets me up
close with a lot of hardware. And my previous occupation..." He
pauses for a moment before shaking his head, "They had their own
set of toys as well. As for things like computers and specialty
cameras, I only know the basics. What about you Opal? You got a
knack for this kind of stuff?"

"Totally! If it's a gadget that light up or make sounds, I got
some expertise in it. Remotes, monitors, weap-" Opal suddenly
lets out a fake cough. before continuing, "and other machines!"
Quickly changing the subject, Opal trots ahead across the
street. Looking up at the stadium's windows, she spots a few of
the worker ponies doing their business. Probably still waiting
for the main course, she assumed. "And when you say guard,
       Foxtrot, you mean Royal Guard?"

"That's right." Foxtrot answers. He notices the workers up
ahead, glad that they're almost to their destination. "Signed in
as an officer straight out of the academy. Stayed for five years
then..." As if remembering a terrible scolding, the unicorn
looks a bit away as his scarred ear flicks. "Took a break for a
few years. That's when I went full freelance for a while." He
didn't sound very proud of it; if Opal knew, she probably
wouldn't be either. Taking a deep breath, he looks back ahead,
"After a falling out with my company, I got back into the guard.
Don't more specialized work. Unfortunately I can't get into much
       details."

From what Opal could tell about Foxtrot's mannerisms as he
explained his past work, it was clear that some things weren't
all flowers and sunshine. Opal's eyes glanced downward, and her
brows lowered, as small memories of unfortunate events flashed
in her mind. But a smile swiftly overcame the thoughts, and she
looked up to Foxtrot. "Ah, don't sweat it. Yeah, work can have
its downs, but I'm sure something good came out of your jobs."
Opal trotted towards the front door, which she expected it to be
locked from the other side, and gave it a couple knocks. "Like,
I had this boss who was a total hot-head; literally speaking."
Opal points at her horn which became wrapped a bright, orange
aura, "It was his funky fire magic. I think his name was Ignite?
Iguana?" Opal shrugged and continued, "Total d-bag, if you know
what I mean. Yells at ya for the craziest reasons, like looking
at him funny. But the crew and I made some wicked jokes about
       him in the end!"

Foxtrot couldn't help but chuckle at Opal's description of
handling their employer. In all honesty he did get back at his
former organization, it was just more... destructive.
"Yea, I guess you're right. I did do a lot of traveling. And
worked with some skilled individuals. It just... I don't know,
wasn't what I'd thought it really was. Regardless, it's a
leaning situation that I can only grow from." He looks around,
waiting for the door to open and the box to be received.

"Exactly! 'Just keep moving forward', as they say." Opal then
faces the sound of locks unhinging from the other side of the
door. She releases a satisfied exhale before the door opens up
moments later, revealing a well-lit hallway and workers carrying
heavy materials walking by. Afterwards, Opal turns to Foxtrot
with a delighted grin, "Anyways, thanks so much for the help! I
       seriously owe you one."

"Don't mention it." Foxtrot says as he lets go of the package.
"Just doing my civic duty. Plus it's a good work out during
nighttime hours. Was there anything else you needed help with? I
got some time on my hooves to kill."

inside. Meanwhile, Opal holds one of the doors open. "We're good

Foxtrot grins, knowing an opportunity for excitement when he
sees it. "You know what? Yea, I'll join in. I wasn't too see
where all this leads to." With that he steps inside, looking
with some awe at the work being put together.
