Long ago there was a unicorn born in a happy family in an
isolated town in the North West of Equestria. Both parents were
very hard working as as their daughter grew up she loved them
back a lot. They wanted her to get an opportunity to be whoever
she wanted to be.
“You will get there soon Orchid. Just keep trying.” Their mom
would say. Orchid was never good with everyday unicorn spells at
first. She couldn’t shoot fireballs, she couldn’t freeze water.
she was only good at picking up books. Honestly, she felt bad
that her parents kept spending money on her. She wanted to
impress them. She wanted them to know their money was worth it.
Day and night she worked on trying out spells. After one
exhausting practice she fell asleep and began to dream of a town
where everything was perfect. These dreams would not happen
consecutively but when she had them and remembered them, it made
her happy. One day she was in a particular happy town ruled by a
very nice empress. After a few other nights she would be back in
the town enjoying the festivals and concerts while watching
fireworks go off in the beautiful starry night sky. When Orchid
woke, she would be disappointed that it wasn’t real. Once again
she would return to the world where she was unable to improve.
Her friends all surpassed her. She wasn’t teased or anything,
but she still felt so embarrassed. Eventually after a really
exhausting night, she fell asleep in the middle of an open
field. However, this time, the dream was different. She was in
the town, but she knew that it was a dream. She took full
advantage and began making minor changes. Starting from there,
every night she would have lucid dreams. Eventually she was very
good at it. Interested, she studied lucid dreaming and dreaming
itself. She read a particular book in a fantasy world where
there was a villain named Lucid. She gave herself the nickname
for fun and thought it was fitting despite thinking the villain
was sily. As time went on she continued to practice lucid
dreaming until one day, she felt stuck in the dream world. She
loved it though. The town was modified to what she enjoyed. It
was perfect and now, she was the ruler. Her attachment to this
world put her into a period in time where she wouldn’t wake up.
It drove her slightly insane when she did. She hated reality. To
her now, the world was not perfect. The more she went out, the
more she began to notice how boring and negative everything was.
After some more studying and training, she began to perfect what
she called dream spells. They were spells she could use in her
sleep when she was dreaming to enter the dream of others. She
practiced these powers on her parents and siblings. She was able
to find her host in their dream and give them the power to lucid
dream. However, she was able to manipulate more aspects of their
dreamscape than the host was able to. Orchid also discovered
cracks that one could jump through. The cracks lead to deeper
sub-conscious levels. The deeper you went, the more you found
out about the host and the secrets they held. In some cases, the
deeper sub conscious was a lot scarier. There were 5 layers that
you can explore in every mind. Somehow, they only appear when
she enters the dream.
As she grew into her later teens, she grew a bit more insane
with these abilities. However, she still used them for good. For
a bit, she was a therapist. She helped people with depression,
anxiety, or constant night terrors. Orchid would dive deeper
into their minds to find out what was wrong.
The more Orchid dreamed in her own dreams however, the more she
wanted to make it a reality. When she was strong enough she
wanted to create it. She left her hometown in search of a power
gem. It took months but hidden deep within a cave she located
it. It was supposed to give her a temporary surge in power and
magic, but it was strange, the orb was able to speak. It somehow
knew who she was. It was willing to give her the power she
seeks because it claimed their interests were the same and their
views on the world was the same. Though he wished that it would
all disappear. Lucid/Orchid disagreed and tried to convince
otherwise but it wouldn’t listen. Regardless, the orb placed a
gem in her hooves which gave her everything she needed, though
it still wasn’t enough.
After reviewing more notes she realized she was able to create
a dimension only if she was aided by even more of a magical
aura. It would take even more power for the dimension to grow
and consume the world. Orchid also realized that the princesses
would not be okay with her plan, so she needed a hiding spot.
With all these in mind, she chose a river in the Everfree
forest. There was a mist surrounding it. Once she arrived, she
performed the spell that would open a dimension into her dream
world. It was identical to the one in her dream. There was
always a beautiful starry night. Fireworks went off silently in
the sky painting the dark colors with bright ones. The town has
white house with pink/red frames. There are warm glows in the
windows. The festivals are not like huge parties, but like happy
things peaceful events families can go to. There was a huge
stage on one side of town. In the center was a clock tower with
beautiful colors on the actual clock. Surrounding her clocktower
in the center is the only dark area infested with scary
nightmarish creatures. They guard the cracks in her subconscious
which lie inside the tower. The grass is a beautiful dark green.
Surrounding area is thick forests you cannot explore. The fog
will become thick and you will return back from where you came.
If you were to go down the river by the Everfree, eventually the
fog will surround you and disperse and your boat would be
floating on a river that runs right through the city. You would
leave by going through the same river. Lucid herself in this
world can manipulate anything. In this world she was incredibly
powerful. She can dream of anything to send at you should you
confront her. However, those abilities are only limited to her
dimension. Once she steps out, she is weakened and anything she
created is dissolved. Ponies entering her world she cannot
manipulate as they are from the real world rather than something
she created. There had been attempts to stop her after a few
travellers learned she wanted to expand the dimension but she
was able to kill them all easily. However, another team of
heroes tried to step up to the plate and it caught her off
guard. As she was attacked, she was losing the fight. The dream
world around her began to collapse into the void of the
dimension. On the verge of death, the warrior who attacked her
was knocked off into the void saving Lucid. There is rumor that
his spirit is still apart of her dream and currently helps any
hero that has come to take her on again. It took a while but she
was able to rebuild her city once more and regain her energy and
power. Her plan was very clear now. One day she hoped to prove
that this is better than a world of nothing and certainly better
than the current world.
he city itself has many names depending who you ask. Many (and
eventually Lucid herself) call it the City of Night-more. Others
call it the City of Clarus. Her power is far off from being able
to expand it, so she continues her therapy sessions as training
and helps Equestria defend itself from creatures to practice as
well.
[Newly Added Section about her being a rogue]
She also began grow impatient. Lucid needed a lot more power in
order to expand her world. She began to research artifacts,
especially those found in museums. Lucid slowly became a thief
and a good one given her skill set. She was able to knock out
guards with her sleep powder, and keep the ones were sleeping,
asleep for longer by giving them a deep, good dream. She can
also infiltrate the dreams of guards or owners to find out
combinations, weak points in the building, guard routes, fears,
and so on. Her dream magic also dips with hallucination and
illusion magic, allowing her to make other ponies see things
that might not be real. However, strong minded ponies are harder
to fool. She cannot access as many things in their dreams and
it’s harder to get them to hallucinate or fall asleep. The
process of getting into their dreams is how well thoughts and
memories in their dreams are protected. Their sub conscious
levels might be protected too and what she is looking for may be
in a deeper level. The reason they are easier to access when
she is performing therapy is because her patients let her have
full access into their minds. She targets mainly gems that are
enchanted with power she can absorb. Occasionally she will take
an artifact antique to sell or keep. She also will take bits if
she sees any pay for her life outside of Nightmore (her sleep
powder isn’t cheap!).
When she is out of her dimension, her powers change drastically
and she gets significantly weaker. One of her magical abilities
is the ability to make her and her sounding area engulfed in a
dark orb that puts everyone including herself into a deep
slumber. She can attack them in the dream world they are sent
to, in hopes to harm them mentally. When they wake, no wounds
are visible and it’s not guaranteed that they will even feel
pain, but some do from the dream and are weakened.
Another attack is her ability to create a temporary zone where
she regains a few of her powers to summon creations to fight for
her. However, the bigger the creation or the more of the
creations there are, the less time her zone lasts. Loud noises
disrupt the dream creations and she is vulnerable in this form.
The creatures range from adorable childhood creations wielding
weapons to nightmarish creatures.
She also can make people hallucinate whatever the target is
afraid of is coming to attack them. She also has sleep power that
can knock out other ponies. As for non-dream attacks, she uses
one or two daggers that she is decently proficient in.
In Nightmore, she will not fight you unless you are posing a
threat to her plans. You must reach her at the top of her clock
tower. On the way, you will witness the five layers of her
memories. Beware, she is godly in her own world. She can send
whatever at you ranging from large attacks to summoning
creations she can dream of. A lot of them are fairy tale themed
creatures as well as nightmare creatures.
(If this were a videogame)
She has three forms you must defeat in order to stop her and
finish her once and for all.
She puts you and everyone to sleep in her world so you entere
her own real dreamscape. She prefers not to fight in her own
dimensional world. However, dying in her dream has bad
consequences in her dimension.
[Phase 1]
Lucid is sleeping as she dreams up of monsters to fight you. The
monsters are decently strong and have slow respawns.
Be careful, if you leave her unharmed for too long she can
recover a lot of strength in this phase.
[Phase 2]
She is fully awake and will begin to attack and move around
more. Now she will send spells at you.
She can still spawn in creatures to fight for her. They are
significantly stronger and she spawns more of them.
Damage her enough and the world begins to shake.
[Phase 3]
Her dimension is crumbling. You have weakened her so much that
her dream has begun to collapse. She uses what's left of her
power to keep herself afloat as the town crumbles around her.
She will send everything she’s got to stop you. This will be the
hardest fight as she has all of her previous abilities and the
environment around you is crumbling into the void.
Her spawns are very strong but are constantly damaged by the
world around her.
Orchid’s dream dimension. The “portal” is located in the
everfree in a river. Fog will surround you and suddenly you will
appear on a river by the city. There is always a beautiful
starry night. Fireworks go off silently in the sky painting the
dark colors with bright ones. The town has white house with
pink/red frames. There are warm glows in the windows. The
festivals are not like huge loud parties, rather happy and
peaceful events families can go to. There was a huge stage on
one side of town. In the center is a tall clock tower with
beautiful colors on the actual clock. RPing here is allowed but
destruction isn’t without Orchid’s permission. If you wish to
fight Orchid boss style, PM the account. She is very powerful in
this realm. Many who fought her never came out.

Edited, marked the new paragraph. I decided to make her a bit of
a rogue and gave her some other things to do when she isn't
chilling. Also updated her weapons. Her non-dream combat is
using one or two daggers.
