Morgayne watched the entire performance, nodding
ever-so-slightly to herself. "Mm-hmm.." she hummed quietly. She
applauded politely, but she almost seemed to be... waiting for
something.

Moonlight watched as Schwambart tried to continue the poor
excuse of small talk she started. Eventually complimenting the
actual moonlight, but worded awkwardly...
Oh, oh boy.... She stayed quiet and flustered as he excused
himself and ran off. Oh no, this is why I shouldn't talk to
anypony.
She wanted to run off to apologize for her awkwardness, but
decided not to make the matters more complicated.
Her attention turned towards Nivalia as she started a musical
number. What is with ponies and singing? Moonlight watched as
she sang, even if Moonlight wasn't much of a singer herself she
still appreciated the lovely melody that came from Nivalia. As
she sang and reached the peak of the song plants and flowers
around her seemed brighter and more alive.
It reminded her of what she thought she saw earlier in the
night, This is the second time...there's no way an earth pony
can do that. Right? She sighed, dismissing it for the second
time. Nivalia eventually finished her beautiful tune, Moonlight
clapped along with the crowd. "Pretty impressive."

As the crowd began to calm down and disperse into its usual
hullabaloo. Giving a few ponies a hoof bump on her way back to
her friends, she greets them with a warm smile. "Ah yes! That
was so much fun! Now where's my..." She looks around until she
finds her bags, "There they are." Trotting over, she picks them
up and puts them on. Niv then returns to the two mares, dress
still flowing with the light breeze. "That was so fun! Oh it's
been too long since I worked the ol vocal chords." She notices
something off, "Hey, where did Schwambart go?"

"That was amazing, Nivalia!" Sage gushed as the other pony
returned. "From a showpony's perspective, it was just perfect!
The song choice, the effects... awesome!" Sage calmed down a
little, her ears dropping at the question. "Oh.. I think he got
embarrassed and left. He said he just needed a drink, though, so
hopefully he'll be back."

Moonlight looked at the dispersing crowd and back to Nivalia and
Sage, "That was...quite a show. But lovely nonetheless." She
looked in the direction Schwambart ran off into and frowned a
little, I should really try to be a little normal around others
from now on... She responded to Sage's comment afterwards, "I
hope he comes back too...."
Looking at Nivalia, who's presence makes her comfortable for
some reason she smiles. Maybe she could have friends, maybe she
doesn't have to be alone all the time. Moonlight took herself
out of her own trance, realizing she's just been standing there
silent for a few odd moments. "So...what now?"

Schwambart meanders around the festival for a while, hiccupping
along in a search for some water with which to slay the
diaphragmical menace. But most everypony was busy paying
attention to a musical number that had suddenly come up. He has
no time to appreciate music, he's too busy trying to recover his
social life and normal breathing functions!! Why couldn't that
have happened before he'd made a total fool of himself?
With everypony so distracted, nopony gives him the time of day
to point him in the direction of a drink, just to shoo him
along, but he does eventually find a public drinking fountain.
About time. He takes a long drink from it and pauses to check
for more hiccups. No, looks like he's good.
He flits back to the others, after the musical number is over,
landing quietly nearby. He doesn't trust himself to say
anything, though, so he stays silent...until another loud hiccup
announces his presence.

Nivalia nods over to Moonlight, "Well now we have a while
festival to enjoy. The world is our oyster! And-" She's cut off
by the sudden hiccup behind her. Turning around, she finds
Schwambart and smiles. "Oh! Schwam's back!" She trots over to
him, grabs his hoof, and walks him back to the others, "I was
wondering where you fluttered off to. Now that we're all here,
why don't we hit up some of the games here?" Niv let's go and
looks around, her jade eyes scanning before stopping at a
certain stall.
"Ooooh! This one! This one," the mate says with excitement, her
dress bouncing up and down. "Over here! Cmon guys!" Full of pep
in her step, Nivalia trots to a stall. There's bullseyes on the
far wall while bows and arrows tipped with suction cups rest on
the counter. On top, rows of stuffed animals are found, but one
in particular catches her eye. "Oh my goodness, it's a bat with
a handsome bowtie! That's it, I'm in." Placing a bit onto the
counter, the changeling picks up the bow and arrow and balances
onto her hind hoofs. "Ok, just gotta..." But instead of
releasing the arrow, she losses her grip on the bow, which
flings right into her nose. "Ah dang it! Stupid... ugh, I got
this." Taking a deep breath, she tries again. This time she
fires correctly, but it lands on the outer ring.
Her ears droop down, spirit worn. "Alright, one more try." She
wouldn't make one, but several tries. However, she wouldn't hit
a single one. Sighing, she places the bow back, now several bits
lighter. "I guess no bat tonight..."

Sage followed after Nivalia, grinning. Nivalia's enthusiasm was
infectious. Sage watched hopefully as the earth pony tried for
the dapper bat, to no avail. "Here, let me try." She had no
interest in the stuffed animals herself, but she wanted to win
one for her new friend.
She tossed a bit onto the counter and levitated the bow over.
Levitating an arrow over as well, she nocked it and narrowed her
eyes in concentration. With a dramatic flourish, she pulled the
string way too far back and released, causing the arrow to soar
over the stall roof and into the night, never to be seen again.
"...oops," she chuckled nervously, offering another bit to pay
for the lost arrow. "Maybe somepony else should try..." she
suggested, offering the bow to the others.

Morgayne subtly followed the group, staying several feet away to
avoid suspicion, as well as being very careful not to bump into
anypony.

Moonlight followed the group, grateful that Schwambart re-joined
them. Soon after that, Nivalia started trotting towards a
carnival game stand. Moonlight sat back and giggled at Nivalia's
glee over a bat with a bowtie. It is kind of a cute bat...
She peered past Nivalia and realized it was an archery based
game, just shoot the target and get a stuffed bat...simple and
easy. Does Nivalia do Archery?
Her question was quickly answered when Nivalia took her first
shot, which missed horribly. Moonlight stifled a laugh, feeling
a bit bad. She watched as another shot missed, Oh jeez... She
watched as Nivalia gave up on the idea of winning, and her heart
sunk a little at her loss.
Moonlight was entertained the last few moments, watching Sage
try her hoof at it. She knew the moment Sage aimed the arrow
that it would miss completely, it was entirely off.
When Sage offered somepony else to try, Moonlight quietly
offered her hoof at it. Well if anypony is gonna get this bat
it'll be me. She went into her satchel and tossed a bit at the
stallion running the stall, who at this point looked completely
done with their failed attempts. Moonlight held the bow steady
with her eye on the target. Whoof, you do NOT feel anything like
Jenny...but you'll have to do. She easily and quickly took the
shot and the arrow landed directly on the bullseye. Moonlight
placed down the bow, "Yeah, I'd like the bat...with the
bowtie..." She received the bat from the stallion who seemed
impressed. Moonlight turned towards Nivalia and smiled, "Here
you go, for being nice to a pony who needed socialization."
Moonlight felt a warmth and glee being able to contribute
something to this endeavor, and to hopefully making friends.
