   DIR By: Nivalia
       Date: March 25, 2017, 12:55 pm

It wouldn't take long before Schwambart and Nivalia to arrive at
their destination. The street was silent, not a pony in sight.
Now in the clear, Nivalia hops off, the kerchief already tied
around her head. She approaches her door and opens it to let him
in. What Schwambart, and Niv's soon to be guests would find,
would be quite a surprise. Nivalia's abode was designed and
furnished to a lifestyle of the upper middle class. Hardwood
floors, leather sofa, two cushioned recliners, fireplace, and
modern decor deck the room from wall to wall. A table lamp is
on, illuminating just enough to see inside, but dim enough as
not to draw attention. Exotic flora seem to be the house plant
of choice as photos of friends and family from past and present
are placed on the wooden shelves. Straight ahead would lead to
the kitchen, while the right would have the staircase to the
second floor. In the corner of the living room rests a small
display. Trophies from competitions, awards from medical
organizations, and even merits from the Royal Guard rest in a
humble fashion. But for now none of it matters. The mare locks
the door behind him and makes her way up the stairs, "I'll get
the signal ready. Please, make yourself at home." Making her way
to the second floor and her bedroom, she takes a candle and
lights it. After placing it on the window still she takes one
last look outside before returning downstairs. Finally she plops
down onto a recliner and catches her breath. Looking down, she
finds her dress, like her evening, in complete ruin.

Sage cursed her lack of wings as she ran, trying to track the
fleeing ponies and changeling with her eyes. She took a
different street than the other pursuers, taking a risk.
However, she slowed when she lost sight of the particular figure
she was chasing. "C'mon, c'mon..." she muttered under her breath
as she passed alley after alley, checking each and every one of
them. Finally, her sharp eyes caught some movement in the depths
       of a particularly dark one.
She started to stalk down it, and when she realized who it hid,
her mouth curled into a sneer. Moonlight. That insufferable
little pony that barged into the group. Sage saw Moonlight cut
herself and had to stifle a chuckle. And when Moonlight called
out, Sage audibly giggled, as if at some private joke. She
stepped into the light coming from the other unicorn's horn.
"Why, Moonlight! Fancy seeing you here!" Sage said, her voice
       bright.
Her eyes noted the bow and arrow, but for some reason, this only
made her grin more. She tilted her head at a painful-looking
angle. "You know, Moonlight, I had you pinned as a lot of
things... Awkward, annoying, desperate for friends..." Her smile
faded, an even more deranged look taking it's place. "But not as
a changeling. You know what they do with changelings nowadays,
don't you? I hear they don't even bother with a trial. They just
lead them straight to the chopping block." Sage's laugh rang
out, cold and anything but sincere. "Do you think I could get a
ticket to see, 'Moonlight'? Or, not bother with a ticket at all.
You know, absolutely no one would blame me if I took care of you
here." Here eyes glinted. "It would be my civic duty, even...."

   DIR By: Morgayne
       Date: March 25, 2017, 2:20 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Shrieks and gasps echoed throughout the street when the undead
equine revealed himself. Morgayne, however, stayed silent, her
eyes locking onto the creature as recognition and surprise
flickered through them. When he turned and ran, Moragayne was
instantly after him. The crowd hesitated for a moment, but then
several guards were galloping after him as well.
Morayne ignored the taunts, leaping over the spilled blockades
with practiced ease. She had done enough running in her...
profession to become rather good at it. Unfortunately, the
guards had received training and were fast as well, a few
passing her in the chase. Morgayne's eyes narrowed, and she was
       faced with a choice.
       ...curiosity won out.
As she ran, she suddenly started singing. There were no words to
her song, simply clear, wordless notes that were eerily
beautiful. The guards around her suddenly stopped in their
tracks, skidding to stops on the ground or hovers in the air.
Their eyes were glazed over as they looked around, calling out
uncertainly and receiving no answers. The particular song
Morgayne sang crafted individualized illusions for each
listener- a beautiful paradise they wouldn't want to escape
       from.
Morgayne passed the stopped guards one by one. As she passed the
unicorn guard that had bagged the valuables earlier, slight
temptation crossed over her face before she shook her head and
galloped on. She could tell she was drawing closer to the
strange pony, though she wasn't gaining as quickly as she would
       like to.

       laughter
Moonlight watched as Sage emerged from the depths of the alley,
laughing with the utmost unsettling grin she's ever seen on a
pony. "Sage..." This entire time, the one who watched as she
struggled and limped down this alley was....her? She aimed her
arrow at Sage, but not intending to shoot. Pain shot through her
leg, the blood still coming out of the wound. How much blood
       have I lost?
She directed her attention back to Sage, revealing her distaste
for Moonlight. She just stood there, scared at the look on
Sage's face. The same look that she saw in her eyes when
Nivalia's true form was revealed. It wasn't the same pony she
met earlier, she was kind...not...this. "I..."
Just like earlier, she felt the same sensation in her head. If
she succumbs to it, Asher will see everything...leaving
Moonlight immobile and defenseless against Sage. No...No...Not
       now. I can handle this.
Moonlight managed to break away from the trace, if only
momentarily. Her attention was brought back to Sage, who accused
her of being a changeling. "What...is wrong with you? I'm not
what you think I am. I did what I thought was right, I defended
       my friend!"
She started to slowly create more distance between her and Sage,
planning on her escape. Moonlight winced at the pain, hoping
Sage wouldn't catch on to how weak she truly was in this moment.
"I'm going to get out of here, and you won't be able to stop
me." Moonlight kept her aim true, knowing her words wouldn't be
able to get her out of this mess.

His ear twitched as the chase crescendo diminished and ended,
leaving only what sounded like one set of hooves still hounding
him, and Sadowi hazarded a glimpse back towards what's behind
him. One turn ago had brought him into a darker pathway, one
with no lighting, thus beyond the general outline of a pony
running very quickly after him and no others he saw little else.
Looking back forward with slightly more thought for where he ran
off to, he took two right turns and on an adjacent street
doubled back the way he came, hoping to pick up the trail of mad
       citizens again.
For once, he was silent, a occurance usually reserved for the
grimmest of moments, but this time he simply ran out of things
to say. So he ran, the quad beat gait ceaseless in pushing its
       owner forward.

Schwambart pants through the door, leaning against the wall. He
shouldn't be here. He shouldn't be alone with a changeling, out
of breath, sore and in an enclosed area. Previously weakened and
wounded or not, the changeling has been allowed to rest and
recover while he's been spending himself. Could it overpower him
right now? Take him? Maybe. He shouldn't let it see any
       weakness.
He gives no response when it tells him to make himself at home.
How can he? He's not safe here. Not while it's here. He watches
it go upstairs, then moves himself next to a window, peering out
and keeping watch through the blinds. His gaze glosses over
everything in the room, not caring, preoccupied with the
changeling's presence and the view out the window. He does allow
himself to sit down and rub absently at his aching legs.

After waiting for a couple of minutes, Nivalia gets the energy
to get up. Without batting an eye to Schwambart, she makes
towards the kitchen. Removing her dress, she tosses it in the
bin. Heading to the fridge, she levitates four bottles of water
and returns to the living room. Placing one by her recliner, and
two in the center table, the final one a couple of feet from
Schwambart. From there she goes to one off the cabinets. The
mare lifts up a medkit and places it on the table as well.
Popping it open, Nivalia pulls out a roll of her signature
medical wraps. Her bloody rags plop of her head, the changeling
wincing in pain once she touched it. It would take a few
minutes, but her wound becomes cleaned and dressed. She
levitates the rags into the trash and returns to her seat,
sipping her bottle of water. Nivalia's ears are folded back,
wings tucked in; overall, she was worried about her friends.
Moonlight, Sadowi, she just wants them to be safe.

Sage gave Moonlight a long look, the tension in the air growing
more pronounced as the silent moments passed. Finally, Sage
looked around and said in a low voice, "I believe you,
Moonlight." Her toothy grin grew as she took a couple more steps
towards Moonlight, not completely closing the distance however.
Sage wanted to savor this moment. "And guess what?" she
whispered, motioning Moonlight to come closer, as if she wanted
       to tell her a secret.
Regardless if Moonlight moved, Sage suddenly screeched, "I DON'T
CARE! It will be even more fun to see your bloody corpse if
you're actually innocent!" Her laughter grew louder and more
insane-sounding. "Oh, this just too wonderful! Killing others is
really the most wonderful adrenaline rush, Moonlight! You should
try it sometime! You know, if I wasn't about to kill you..."
Sage snarled, and she slowly started advancing on Moonlight.

It was harder to follow the other creature's movements when he
stopped shouting, but Morgayne's ears swiveled this way and that
as she ran, managing to track him. She was still the only one
chasing him, most of the civilians had stayed back and the
guards were all lost in their illusions. Morgayne smiled
slightly when she realized she was still getting closer, but at
the same time, she was getting rather winded. Hoping it would
work, she suddenly called out, "Wait! Don't run! I mean you no

If Moonlight wasn't intimated of Sage up until this moment, she
sure was now. Chills went down her spine when Sage screeched,
pure hatred and insanity coming out of her. I don't feel well...
She steadied herself, close to wobbling at this point.
Moonlight knew she had to get away, every second Sage inched
closer to her waiting to pounce. She managed to start to create
some distance between them. Moonlight looked up at the night
sky, the moon was bright and beautiful and her saving grace at
the moment. Taking a deep breath she stilled herself. She only
has one shot at this, it has to go perfect.
She turned her attention back towards the crazed unicorn and
coughed. Her voice was starting to become weak and groggy.
"Sage. If I were you, I wouldn't. move. an. inch."
Within seconds a dark blue glow illuminated from her bow,
swirling from the bottom to the top; the light itself was almost
blinding. Moonlight aimed the arrow towards the sky and released
it. Upon release, multiple magic arrows emerged from the one
showering a bright barrage over Sage.
As soon as Moonlight released the arrow she ran. Moonlight
purposely aimed the arrows to where if Sage stayed still, none
would hit her and she would come out unscathed. It would be
enough to blind her for a moment and stun her, giving Moonlight
time to escape in her condition. With the small amount of energy
she had left she ran as fast as she could, with her wounded leg
slowing her down only a bit.
She turned the corner and saw her destination, the haven of a
candle by the window. As Moonlight approached the building, she
started to feel a wave of dizziness overcome her. Oh...no....
Mid stride Moonlight blacked out, crashing face first into the
stone in front of Nivalia's house.
