Tinder takes the binder and starts slowly looking through it,
reading every offence and notices the main thing that is
repeated. "I don't know... They seem to be an addict. Maybe they
are stuck at the same place as I am now...Unable to go any
further."

"That's a good assumption, Tinder. In fact, many thought they
would end up like that. A record like this and no motivation to
change it would've confirmed it but... Well, go to the last
page." As Tinder would discover upon reaching that page a
mugshot of a much younger Ebony Coldsteel. Much less scars but
still having that signature glare.

Tinder nods and turns to the last page, looking at the picture
and then back at Ebony, "That's you..." She sighs a little and
quickly closes the folder, "Look, I know where you're going with
this, that you made it out of that life and you got free from
your addiction. But you're stronger then I am, I wouldn't be
able to make it out of this life, I'd end up dead before I broke
free."

"I can understand the hesitation. I myself thought I'd
physically die before breaking free." Ebony closes up the binder
and puts it away. "As for being strong enough, it doesn't make
it the only factor. I had plenty of time, resources, and help
top get me through it. In regards to you, you certainly can't
sell yourself short. Helping to take down an international
freelance organization, fighting off a tefelhunden; you've
accomplished more in the span of a few months than most guards
who've been here for years. But it's not even just strength that
you have, but also a lot of heart. You put the needs of others
before yourself without even second guessing it. That's the kind
of mindset that makes the difference." He pauses, taking a sip
of lukewarm coffee that's been sitting on his desk for some
time. "Let me ask you something. Not now, but later on; if I'm
able to gather the right resources and people to help, would you
be willing to give it another try?"

Tinder looks over at him as he speaks, listening closely to what
he has to say. As he sips his coffee she grabs her pill bottle
from her bag, downing a few, not having any reason to go without
now that he knows. She flinches a little as he makes his offer,
looking over to him for a second to make sure he's serious, "I
don't want to make you go through all that trouble for me,
especially since there is a pretty good chance I'd just end up
slipping again. I've tried to quit, I always end up back in the
same situation. And before you even say it, I'm not going to
rehab, I can't be stuck somewhere like that with no chance of
going back to what I need. I know that's the point of the place,
that I'd get help to quit there, but I'd be lying if I said I
wasn't scared of going to a place like that."

"Well, I can't force you into something like that. But our
certainly isn't a burden to get together," Ebony replies, "just
know that I'll be here if you want to take that jump. Other than
that, there's nothing really else to discuss. Unless there's
anything you want to talk about our ask?"

Tinder shakes her head a few times and takes a deep breath, "I'm
just still trying to get my head around this, though I doubt
I'll ever be able to take that leap that you want me to. It's
been too long for me to quit now, the process would kill me.."
Though she is being slightly dramatic, she is still afraid, way
too afraid to quit unless she is forced to do so. "I don't have
anymore questions, I suppose we should get going soon."

Ebony gets up and stretches, "Yea, we should get going. Gotta
meet up with some others and get a map to the castle. Shouldn't
take too long though. Here, let's wait out front." The captain
reaches into a small locker and pulls out a duffle bag. He stops
the shotgun inside as well as several cases of shells. Once the
bag is slung over his shoulder, he opens his door for Tinder,
"After you."

Tinder stands and takes a second to crack out her joints,
starting to sieze up from sitting so long. "Who are we meeting?
Do I know them?" She walks out in front of him, grabbing a
couple more pills and going to down them, figuring there is no
harm in doubling her dose since she's not gonna be able to have
any for a while.

As the two begin to head out of the station, Ebony shrugs, "It's
one of Broadshield's buddies. But I actually haven't met them
myself." Before they get to the exit, another Lunar Guard
approaches them. With a quick salute he relays a rolled up map.
The captain nods as the guard heads out, pocketing the map under
his armor. The day itself appears to be sunny, a good time to
head out on an expedition. "I wouldn't worry about it though,
you'll be sticking with me the entire way."
