The NWS Rapid City did issue a blizzard warning this afternoon
for the eastern two-thirds of Pennington County; including Rapid
City

The 0z RAP...a notoriously dry model...has some unbelievable
snow bursts around here between about 1 AM and 6 AM...maybe 10
inches of snow in 5 hours.
We'll see.
You have that nice easterly wind forced upslope and slamming
into the Eastern Slopes of the Black Hills...good setup.
At 7:50 PM it was 45 F and the wind was light.

At 9:20 PM it was 43 F and overcast.

Rain and 40 F at 10:40 PM...but the change to snow does not look
far away.

Mostly wet snow at 1:20 AM and the temp. down to 35 F.

Pretty moderate snow @ 1:40 AM with the temp down to 34 F and
the snow has been sticking everywhere for the last 15 minutes;
save for the road.
