After the temp got up to 32 F around 10:30 AM; snow redeveloped
@ 11:30 AM and it has been snowing lightly and steadily ever
since.
Since it redeveloped just before lunchtime; another 6/10ths of
an inch has accumulated as of 2:30 PM.
Monthly Total: 13.2"
Seasonal Total: 46.3"
The brief morning warmup to the freezing point was quickly
tempered; and at 2:42 PM we have fallen back to 22.6 F.

DFN is -16.2 @ NWS WFO Rapid City the first 16 days of Feb 2019.
Not even the most seasoned old-timers around here will have any
objection to the notion of placing this month in the pantheon of
Greatest Cold Months in the history of this area.
Last February was extremely cold here (DFN of -12.1 @ the
aforementioned station); but this February will top it with
ease...as there is absolutely no let up in sight right into
March.

Since the quoted dispatch; we have seen 3/10ths of an inch of
additional snow through 2:10 PM today...most of it (lol) since
late morning Sunday.
Monthly Total: 13.5"
Seasonal Total: 46.6"
It is 9.7 F @ 2:15 PM Sunday afternoon and snowing lightly.

That protracted snow forecast by the EC really wasn't that
bad...it has snowed almost all day Sunday and a fair portion of
Saturday...albeit extremely lightly.

Another 2/10ths of an inch of additional snow through 8:30 PM.
Temp just 2.3 F at that same time.
Monthly Total: 13.7"
Seasonal Total: 46.8"

After 8:30 PM; another 1/10th of an inch of snow fell overnight.
Monthly Total: 13.8"
Seasonal Total: 46.9"
-8.9 F @ 6:48 Monday morning.

Now -9.2 F here just after 7 AM...and -19 F at both Rochford and
just west of Custer.
A little warm up would not be unwelcome...lol.
*Edit: It bottomed out at -9.6 F.
