       Pattern looks a good deal more favorable now; and I would not be
       surprised to see 1 to 2 feet of new snow here over the next 15
       days / 360 hours (by 5 December 2018).
       First chance of snow should be towards this Saturday / 24
       November 2018.

       We have had 1.9" of snow here since 14 October...that's 38
       days...and it will be 40 days by the close of business Friday.
       The bad has been entrenched for quite a spell; no doubt about
       it.

       The radar looks like some heavy snow is just south of here @
       9:20 AM.  Temp 31.6 F and cloudy.

       Snow commenced @ 9:25 AM and as of 11:25 AM we have seen 7/10ths
       of an inch of new snow.
       It is 32.4 F...and snow on a nearby driveway is melting as we
       approach noon; though all other surfaces are covered.
       Amazing; how at this altitude at this time of year with a very
       low sun angle and at this latitude that the temp is having
       trouble staying below freezing.
       Not only do I consider this surreal; I also consider it to be
       genuinely unseemly...sort of a violation of all climatological
       norms.

       Now up to 32.7 F @ 12:18 PM...I called it unseemly in the
       previous post...disgusting might be a more accurate description.
       I think we lost more snow than gained in the last few minutes.

       32.9 F @ 12:55 PM...almost looks like rain trying to mix
       in...lol.

       Snowing a little better since 1 PM; @ 1:15 PM I have measured
       1.2" new snow on the day. Temp is finally going in the right
       direction; down to 32.5 F.
       Now 11.0 inches of snow on the season.
       The Rapid City webcams show wet roads and no snow accumulation;
       the Deadwood cams show cloudy and bare ground as the snow has
       not even made it that far north.
       As pathetic as the storm has been; I might be one of the lucky
       ones in the area...lol.

       Finally look a little like a snowstorm; 1.4" new snow @ 2 PM;
       wind picking up out of the NE...temp falling quickly; down to
       31.1 F.
