Some light snow is falling here this morning. It is windy and
cold with a temperature of 19 F.
[/quote]
As of 7:45 AM I've seen 6/10ths of an inch of what I would have
to deem "surprise snow"...not often that we get that.
The temperature is 15 F and the snow was pretty moderate for
about an hour.
This brings the seasonal total to 48.0"; edging the winter close
to what I would deem a "barely passing" grade.

Before the month of March came to a close; an additional 1/10th
of an inch of snow fell late in the evening hours on the 31st.
This brings the total for March to 16.1" and the total on the
season to 48.1".
The 48.1" of snow was achieved through thirty-one (31) separate
measurable snowfalls.
The ground has been well-covered with snow on 79 days through
March 31st.

Some more snow seems very possible late Monday afternoon;
probably starting between 3 PM & 5 PM.
The models have trended more favorably today; and a 3 to 6 inch
snowfall in my area seems quite possible.
We'll see.

Not too many changes with the 0z suite; though my favorite
model; the HRDPS (Hi-resolution GEM-LAM) hits the area with an
amazing mega-band of snow right after 5 PM tomorrow. We're
talking a 4 to 5 inch an hour band. After that; it would all be
pretty anti-climatic.

Wide variety of solutions with the 9z SREF suite; but fair to
say they look much wetter than the previous few runs down at the
Rapid City Airport......which is one of the worst spots in the
area for snow...many printing out more than 7 inches.
April is a very good snow month around here; so anything can
happen.
The temperature is right around 32 F at the moment.
Not sure how this is going to play out...but we are likely going
to see something out of this with snow poised just to my north
here at 1:20 PM MDT.

It snowed decently from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM; but could not
accumulate; despite the sub-freezing temperatures; as that
strong April 2 sun is not easily overcome.
For the last 50 minutes or so; there have only been some
flurries / white rain.

At 10 PM I measured 1.5" new snow. It has been snowing on and
off (mostly off) since 5 PM.
49.6" on the season; as that elusive 50" mark has *still* not be
reached.
