Light to moderate snow and down to 23.5 F @ 9:00 PM.
3.0 inches new snow from this system so far.
A very wintery night in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
Custer, off to my south; has already seen more than a half a
foot of snow from this system...with a few inches more likely.

It is 25.5 F here @ 6:25 PM...the ground is still snow covered;
but we are going into a mild and dry pattern here for about the
next 10 days; probably no snow again until Thursday; October
25th.
I think NYC and LI are due for a below average snow year; having
experienced only one of them in the last decade (2011-12).
There is such a thing as the law of averages...and you can't
fight climatology.
