There are many multiverses where humans and the supernatural
coexist with one another. In this story, this certain multiverse
is not one of those multiverses. Yes, the supernatural do exist
in this world but in secrecy where humans are oblivious to, thus
them believing that supernatural are just mere fairy tales. This
place is known as Makai: a realm on Earth that is home to many
of the supernatural beings that is sealed off from the human
world. The only way to even enter this world is by taking a
certain series of secret paths. Of course, it's not that simple
thanks to things like magic so that humans doesn't stumble into.
Only the residents of Makai and those with Makai (descendant
from one) blood can go through. In the historical records of
Makai, Zeruru Aensland, an ancestor of Belial, was the first
supernatural being who respectfully ruled over Makai and its
people. This marked the rise of the Makai nobles, and their
goals to control different parts of the realm and control over
separate regions of the realm. Although there are at least
seven, there are three major noble families: The Aensland, a
succubus clan led by Morrigan Aensland, the Darkfires, a demon
clan led by Qrow Darkfire, and Vowl Kingdom, ruled by a bat
demon name Radu Cel Frumos. The three nobles rule Makai for
centuries and has been going smoothly ever since. Of course,
there's always that one guy who has to go power hungry and want
world domination, trying throw everything into chaos. And the
major assh*le who wants it badly is no other than Dovelthain
Hazeldine. Now, there are many others who wants to overthrow the
nobles and seize power for their own selfish ambitions such as
Demetri Maximoff, a powerful vampire who tried to overthrow
Belial but got his ass whopped and was banished to the human
world in Romania (should've send his ass to Florida instead).
But Dovelthain was like Demetri but double the power and
assholery. Not only he views humanity as lesser beings who
should be nothing but slaves and cattle, but he also view
humanity as a violent race who will destroy themselves and
doesn't deserve to be in power, let alone be on top of the food
chain. He also had plans to control the realm for himself and
control humanity. Of course, Dovelthain got his ass whopped
times ten but the destruction he has made during his war with
the Darkfires left a scar in Makai as a whole, making some leave
the realm in order to have their control over their own fate, to
the point of having relationships and families of their own,
       even with humans.
The Kreutz family is one of the seven noble families of Makai.
Although the family is recognized as a noble one, it would be
more suitable to call it an army of warriors and fighters. The
current master Xell stands at a height of 5 meters and is a war
dragon. He has the most unique appearance out of all the noble
classes. And those who are of his family also have appearances
that are far from a human form. But there is no vulgarity and
roughness within the family. In contrast to their savage forms,
they are all first class fighters who are highly trained and
organized group. The group is very loyal to the master - to the
point where evil actions are paid off with death. Though their
numbers are few, they possess powerful one hit attacks and are
known as the "Bullet of Makai". Baraba Kreutz, known as the
"Wolf Lord" of the realm of Makai, is the leader of the royal
guardsmen of the Kreutz family. His eyes were the eyes of those
who survived countless wars. Twenty years ago, he had wandered
into the human world. He vaguely remembers about the woman who
cared for him when he was injured in the human world. This would
lead to Jon Talbain, AKA, Gallon. We all know from many
universes like Jon hasn't had the best luck in life. But this
Jon is a bit different. Although his background would be
somewhat the same, Jon would also visit the Makai world from
time to time, even befriending a few people like Kindron
Darkfire, one of the sons of Qrow Darkfire. Although he holds
some form of contempt toward humans, due to his training and
meeting a few people like Felicia and Kindron, he's not a
complete savage to the point that he's a fan of Demetri's or
Dovelthain's extreme views. Although a free agent and a lone
wolf, he does visit his parental family from time to time, only
to learn more about his heritage and train with them, not
admitting that he has somewhat grown some respect and attachment
to them. His views would also change when he meets a young human
name Zoe Zolnerowich, a teenage girl who is not ordinary by
human standards. She lost her parents due to a violent car
accident and her sister went MIA during a mission in Serbia.
Social Services tried to put Zoe in an orphanage but ran away
due to not trusting them. She lived on the streets for two weeks
but ended up in the Makai world due to following Jon one night
after he saved her from a group of child traffickers. Of course,
she was caught by some Makai thugs but was saved by Jon.
Realizing that she has nowhere to go, Jon reluctantly takes Zoe
in and brought her to his home, planning on making her his
apprentice and to keep her safe from the residents of Makai who
will see her as a free meal. But unknown to both of them, this
       is just the beginning.
       Main Story:
       (Fight Theme:

       "Okay, one last time."
Jon shouts a command in Japanese, a cue to Zoe to do the five
Heian kata of Shotokan Karate. She has been with Jon for a few
weeks and has been learning how to do karate, first by mimicking
Jon's movements from the shadows, like how a child would mimic
their parents, which Jon secretly finds kind of cute. During her
practice, she also tries to utilize her ki. Jon knew that Zoe
wasn't some ordinary human since she was able to get to Makai,
meaning that she has to be descended from some Makai civilian
who came to the human world long ago. Once finished, she bow her
head to her sensei, Jon, who responds by bowing back to Zoe
before the two stand up straight.
Jon: Good. You're improving. That's it for today. I'm about to
head out to go grab a few things and visit someone. You can come
with. Just put on your cloak and mask.
       Zoe: Yes!
Zoe runs off and gets herself ready by taking a quick shower and
putting on some clothes Jon bought for her. Once ready, she
grabs her cloak and put it on along with her mask. Shen then
hurries over to Jon who is ready to leave the house. The two
then leave, lock the door behind them and head toward a local
market. The market is pretty much like any other market in the
human world but has some stuff that wouldn't sit right for a
human... well, unless you're a cannibal. Zoe remain close to
Jon, knowing the dangers if she is found out. Even if there are
people who don't mind humans, humans aren't allowed in Makai for
reasons. A human appearing here will cause conflict that might
escalate depending on the situation. Which is why Zoe has to
disguise herself and take on a fake name name Arzhela along with
Jon taking Zoe to the Darkfire family, since they are the most
reasonable when it comes to situations like this. Although the
other two families aren't so bad either, Jon trust the Darkfires
the most since he knows them longer. During their walk, Jon
notice a commotion going on by a magic stone section. He quietly
tells Zoe to stay put and remain silent while he investigate.
Upon reaching there, he notice a familiar vampire, which made
       him growl in anger.
       Jon: Blade!
The demonic vampire name Blade turn his head from the salesman
to Jon. He stands up straight and raise an eyebrow at Jon.
Throughout the crowd slowly gathering around, Zoe is pulled in
involuntarily and is watching Jon glaring daggers at this
       stranger.
Zoe: Hey, what's going on? Who's that guy?
Makai Zombie: That bugger over there kiddo, is Abaki Hazeldine,
though he is well known as Blade. He is one of the Eight Kings
of the Road. That vamp over there is the king of Phantasm Road,
a master of dark spiritual energy.
Makai Troll: You think a fight is gonna break out?
Makai Zombie: Belial, I hope so! After what those assh*les had
done centuries ago, Jon better kick his bony ass out. Hope he
lands in Los Angeles next time.
Makai Troll: Isn't that place already a cesspool?
Makai Zombie: Yup! laughs Might as well be Super Hell at this
       point!
Zoe remains silent as she continues to watch the commotion. Zoe
has remembered stories her mother used to tell her when she was
young about Makai, one of them was the war the Hazeldines has
started. She thought of it as a fairy tale until now. If that's
true, what other stories are true in this supernatural world.
During the commotion, two Hazeldine members in hooded cloaks
walk up and stand right behind Zoe.
Blade: Well, if it isn't Jon Talbain. I never expect to see you
here. Your master let you off of your leash? He ask mockingly
Jon: Cut the bullshit. What the hell are you doing here? Last
time I checked, you and your clan are still banished.
Blade: I've heard that Zeruru finally kicked the bucket and a
new ruler so I came to see for myself. Turns out his daughter,
Morrigan took the mantle. And from the looks of this place and
in the human realm, not much has changed.
Jon: Well, things happen when you manage to get rid of a major
illness. The scar is there but it's still healing and improving.
Something that will remain that way.
Blade: Hmph. Some improvement. Speaking of which, I've heard
that you manage to make some interesting friends. That's a first
       for you.
Jon: Whatever. I don't have time for this. Leave immediately
before things get nasty. I'm not in the mood to get rid of a
       body.
Blade: What's the rush? It's not like you have anything better
to do. Though I notice a new scent. It's odd but somewhat...
       familiar. Your new friend?
Before Jon can say anything, one of the Hazeldine grunts grabbed
Zoe by the scruff of her neck and picked her up with one hand,
much to Zoe's surprise along with the two bystanders who were
talking to her earlier. Zoe tries to fight back but the
Hazeldine vampire was stronger. The two bystanders try to help
but is stopped by the other vampire.
Makai Zombie: What the hell, assh*le?! Let the little one go!
Hazeldine Vampire: Shut up and watch, dumbass.
The vampire who is holding up Zoe has a female voice when she
spoke. Effortlessly, she removed the mask and hood from Zoe's
face, revealing her as a human to the crowd's shock and Jon's
       horror. Even Blade was shocked.
Zoe: Hey! Let me go you b*tch!
Makai Zombie: Sweet merciful crap! The little tyke is a human!
       Female Hazeldine: No sh*t, Sherlock!
Makai Zombie: Wait a damn minute... Ryoko?!
The woman now known as Ryoko use her free hand to remove her
hood from her head, revealing herself to be Ryoko Hazeldine, The
Thunder Queen of Storm Road, startling the crowd even more. Jon
angrily turned to a still slightly shocked Blade, his fur
puffing up and his fangs baring
       Blade: A... A human...? Here? That's... impossible.
Jon: What the hell is this, Blade?! Put her down right now!
Blade: quickly turn his head to Jon with a now glaring look. I
knew this realm has gone mad! You brought a human here?!
Ryoko: One roaming free, by the way. I don't see a brand or
       anything on the brat.
Zoe: Back off! I'm not food or someone's thing!
Ryoko: Oh really? I'll give you an option then: Neck or arm?
Zoe: Neither. Though I can give out a few suggestions on which
body part you can go off and suck dry. She states sarcastically,
causing Ryoko to growl and tighten her grip, making the grip
       wince in pain.
Jon: Let the kid go, Ryoko!
Ryoko: Oh I will! I just need to get rid of her and fix your
mistake before it bites all of us in the ass!
Jon: Don't you dare! She has nothing to do with this! She's just
       a kid!
Blade: Are you insane? Have you forgotten what her kind are
capable of?! You've been to the human world, Jon. You've seen
the atrocities they have done. They're nothing but filthy
animals! Lord Dovelthain himself have stated this. We've seen
how hideous their true nature is for ourselves. You let her live
and grow up, she'll cause destruction just like the rest of her
       kind!
Jon: Now you two are being ridiculous. You don't know her.
Blade: And neither do you. I will not let this go on. Either you
deal with this or I will.
Jon: You will do no such thing! You and your clan are NOT
welcomed here! And all of you will leave, even if I have to
throw your dead bodies out of here if I have to!
He roars as he pops out his claws and gets into his Shotokan
karate stance. Blade just glare back as he gets into his own
fighting stance. The crowd almost immediately back up, knowing
that sh*t is about to go down. Due to people moving and shoving
each other rapidly, Ryoko tries to keep a good grip on Zoe but
when it's slightly loosen and Ryoko is distracted, Zoe kick
Ryoko in the face, making the vampire drop her and run off into
the crowd. Ryoko swears in Japanese as she and the other
Hazeldine tries to find Zoe. When she lost them, Zoe manage to
get a good view of the fight. The two fighters show some
fighting courtesy by bowing to each other. Then no later than a
human minute, the two clash fists and claws at each other. The
two fighters were moving so fast that normal human eyes can't
see them fight. Zoe witness Jon fight by using his Shotokan
karate fighting style while Blade used a mixed martial arts
which one of them looks like Japanese Jujitsu.
       Zoe: Whoa...!
She witness the two then use their own weapons in the mix of the
fight: Blade using a katana (how original) and Jon using his
nun-chucks. Jon was able to get a few good hits in until Blade
push him back with his demonic spirit energy. Although Jon
quickly recovered, he had to send a flaming ki dragon blast to
counter Blade's demonic spirit ice snake blast, sending a
shockwave and creating a mist. When the mist clears, Jon use his
beast cannon technique to knock Blade back. Blade quickly
recovered and tries his best to dodge the incoming beast cannon
attacks. Though the last one hits and Jon delivered a barrage of
attacks before knocking next to a food cart close by. In the
crowd, Zoe is cheering for Jon which aggravates Blade. Before
the two can continue, a female booming voice was heard along
with a dark mist coming from the sky.
       Voice: ENOUGH!
Demonic spirit energy came through the sky and landed right in
between Jon and Blade, sending them both flying back. The crowd
falls in silence since they know who this is. Morrigan Aensland
flies down in between the fighting men. The crowd almost
instantly bows down to her, leaving Zoe standing there confused.
She also notice in the corner of her eye, two bodies skidding
past her and adjacent to Blade, revealing to be Ryoko and the
hooded Hazeldine who are healing from burn marks. A female walks
over and stand close to Zoe with a p*ssed off look on her face,
revealing to be Kanna Darkfire, Zoe's godmother. Zoe has a
shocked expression on her face. What's Aunt Kanna doing here?!
Is she really one of them?
Morrigan: I swear, I leave this place for a week and things go
south. Normally, I would let Qrow or Radu handle this but it
seems like something I can't ignore. Well, that and Kanna
dragged me along as well. She states the last part somewhat
jokingly. Despite her care free attitude, Morrigan is also not
       pleased about the situation.
Kanna: glares at Blade and the other two Hazeldine vampires Give
me one good f*cking reason why I shouldn't kill you three right
now and deliver your bodies to the old bastard.
Ryoko: points at Zoe There's your damn reason, Darkfire!
Kanna turn to Zoe which made her eyes widen slightly. She
mutters oh no in Japanese, almost as if she knows this child.
Ryoko: Your damn dog decided to have the bright idea to bring a
f*cking human in this place! Last time I checked, that was a
       damn crime!
Kanna: turns back to Ryoko with a glare that can melt diamonds
And last time I checked, you three c*ck stains are still banned
from here. Also, human or not, you tried to kill a damn child.
Blade: We're trying to save this place from falling to further
ruin! Do you have any idea--
       Kanna: Stop right there. I don't give a sh*t. Now listen. It's
been a long week and I'm not in a good mood to deal with you
three. So here are your options: You three leave this place and
never come back, all three of us gestures herself, Morrigan and
Jon with her finger kick your sorry asses and send y'all back to
Japan with broken bones best case scenario, or I'll go take you
three to my great uncle and let him decide your fates.
The trio almost grimace at the third choice, not wanting to deal
with Qrow Darkfire. The three begin to get up and reluctantly
       admit defeat.
       Blade: We will leave.
Kanna: Oh, so there are some brain cells in there. Hopefully,
they'll make sure you three learn from this. She states
sarcastically though she then becomes serious again. If I even
smell you three or anymore of your people around here again, it
WILL be a closed casket funeral. Now get the f*ck out.
Blade: ...You will all regret this. This I am certain.
With that, the trio disappear in a flash. In the crowd, Kanna
nod to a hooded figure hidden. The figure nods back and dash
away, making sure that they fully leave this place and follow
them in silence. Kanna then turn to the crowd and tells them in
Japanese to disperse. The crowd obeys and leave. Morrigan was
about to say something but Zoe rush over to Jon who is also
getting back up to his feet. Kanna also walks over to the group
       with a worried expression.
Zoe: That was amazing, Jon! I've never seen anything like it.
Morrigan: So this is the little human they were making a fuss
about. She says as she walks over to the two. She examine Zoe
for a few seconds with a curious smile. Well, the lass is pretty
cute. And pretty strong for someone so young.
       Kanna: Zoe...
Zoe: turns to Kanna Aunt Kanna...? I don't understand. You're a
       Makai?
Kanna: sighs Yes. How did you even end up here?
Zoe: I had to! I have nowhere to go! Besides, Jon saved me.
Jon: Wait a minute, Kanna you know her?
Kanna: Yes. I'm her and her sister's godmother back in the human
world. I befriended a human name Ezekiel Zolnerowich, her
father. When I heard the news about her family, I ran off to try
       to figure out what happened.
Morrigan: So THAT explains the strange power I sensed. That and
the obvious explanation as to why you were able to come here.
       Zoe: Wait, I don't understand.
Morrigan: Well, we're still trying to figure out who
specifically but long ago, there was a member of one of the
seven noble families that came to your world and fell in love
with a human. You so happened to be the descendant from one of
       them.
Kanna: We were also looking for Maya. There is a chance of her
       still being alive.
Zoe: Really? Then we gotta go find her! Let me help!
Morrigan: Easy, little one. It's too dangerous. Especially since
you have yet to fully learn about your powers.
Kanna: Good thing those bastards didn't sniff it out of her. The
last thing we need is for them to get any ideas. You know how
they are when it comes to interesting people they deem as
capable strong opponents. Their leader especially. turns to Zoe
We will find Maya. I promise. But right now, your safety comes
first, especially with you sticking with Jon. Even though he
should've bring you to the Darkfires in the first place. She
says the last part with a slight snarl as she glare at Jon, who
       return the glare in annoyance.
Jon: That was the plan, damn it. I was going to inform Qrow or
Kindron about the situation, but then I noticed Blade and
figured he was up to no good. Seems like I was right.
Morrigan: Well, if that's the case, we might as well head over
there now. I've been meaning to bug the old man anyway.
Kanna: Right. Not to mention that I gotta report this to him.
Better do it fast before the rumors get to him first. Well, Zoe.
Looks like you're going to be here for a while.
And this conclude this chapter so far for Zoe. Now in another
world where the paranormal are alive and kicking, Zoe has yet to
learn the truth about her family. What is she, really? What
really happened to her family? And are the Hazeldines planning
something? One this is certain: If Zoe is going to solve these
mysteries, she's going to have to get stronger. But she knows
for certain that this is far from over and that the real fight
       has yet to begun.
       End
