Lucifer

---------------------------------------------------------
“My mum’s gonna kill me. And before you say it, that’s not a
metaphor. She’s literally going to kill me. She’s not the
forgiving type.”
“Let me play the Me’s advocate…”
“You see, what I hate more than anything is a liar. A charlatan.
Someone who doesn’t believe in what they say. ”
Amenadiel: Your return to the underworld has been requested.
Lucifer: Oh, right. Okay. Let me just, uh…check my calendar.
Yeah, here it is. Uh…the 7th of Never through to the 15th of
Ain't Gonna Happen. How's that work for you guys? Ah,
look…remind Dad that I quit Hell because I was sick and tired of
playing a part in His play.
Amenadiel: I'm gonna warn you against disrespecting our Father,
Lucifer.
Lucifer: Yeah, well, our Father's been disrespecting me since
the beginning of time, so pot-kettle, don't you think?
Amenadiel: You…are a mockery of everything divine.
Lucifer: Thank you.
Chloe: What happened?
Lucifer: Well…where do I begin? With the grandest fall in the
history of time? Or perhaps the far more agonizing punishment
that followed? To be blamed for every morsel of evil humanity's
endured, every atrocity committed in my name? As though I wanted
people to suffer. All I ever wanted was to be my own man here.
To be judged for my own doing. And for that? I've been shown how
truly powerless I am. That even the people trusted—the one
person, you—could be used to hurt me.

Abilities: Angel/Archangel Divine Aura: Angels have incredible
holy aura, as they radiate in their angel forms with divine
energy, which is enhanced by the angelic presence. This aura not
only shows an angel's power, but also acts as an defense,
strengthening their bodies so that they take less damage.
Depending on the kind of angel, normal angels have strong aura,
with the next step up usually being grand priest angels, and the
highest level being archangels. Other angels can also make the
list, like seraphim or other angel types, though depending on
the individual, most other angel types can very on where they
place in the list of angelic power. In most angel's angelic
power, this aura isn't visible, and acts like a passive defense,
and radiates from their spirit that allows angels to give off a
presence of pure light which is usually visible to those with a
sixth sense for sensing the presence of other beings. Since this
form is based in angelic power rather than elemental power like
some auras, this aura relies on the divine energy an angel
generates to power it. Typically, archangels are the ones with
the strongest holy power, and an archangel's aura is typical
more powerful than any other kind of angel in heaven. While
strong though, demonic and dark weapons and powers can more
easily pierce this aura, as one might expect, as can aura
breaker weapons and powers.
- Enhanced Holy
Energy/Celestial Force: Having angel power, angels have advanced
holy energy and higher level angels also have celestial force
(or some might have other higher level divine energies to use in
battle), which is enhanced by their angelic power. Their
enhanced holy energy is holy energy enhanced by their angel
power, which does more damage than normal holy energy. This is a
natural holy energy to some angel's power, as it replaces normal
holy energy angels use. Higher level angels and a lot of angelic
hybrids can also use celestial force, the highest level holy
energy that some archangels and nephilim developed to fight
demon princes and high level demonic entities, in which
celestial force is an amplification using positive spirit energy
to amp holy energy. The normal enhanced holy energy does less
damage, but costs less power to use, while the celestial force
is far stronger, but costs more power to use. This requires the
user to manage their power, using holy energy against weaker
opponents and saving celestial force for more dangerous
opponents. Most angels are trained in holy energy and have
advanced holy energy, but only high level angels or some hybrids
are trained and can use celestial force. This force is often
best utilized in nephilims, as certain angel hybrids learned to
use this far more effectively using less power since angel
hybrids can more easily create this power with stronger soul
energy compared to angels. Some angels have even developed other
divine energies depending on their power set (usually archangels
who develop their own types of powers)
- Enhanced Holy
Light: Some angels also have enhanced holy light manipulation,
in which they can use this holy light to attack opponents. These
angels that use this have learned to tap into the light of their
angelic light-based nature to manipulate light around them using
their power. This holy light is light drawn from around them,
fused with the angelic power of their light-based nature to
create a powerful holy light. This light is very strong, and
designed to be able to be used to battle demon's unholy darkness
or a fallen angel's corrupted elements. This light is much
stronger than typical light manipulation, being fused with holy
energy. When used, this light can do things like generating
light spears, firing concentrated light beams, and even be used
to destroy demonic presences with it's holy power. Some advanced
users of holy light can even manipulation visible light to
create illusions, and some are even able to use light to control
light-based lightning (normal lightning that gives off light,
not special lightnings like dark lightning and heat lightning).
As a result, this light manipulation is very useful for angels,
with some angels even having higher level light abilities or
using specific light abilities, like Sariel who uses the power
of moon light and Raphael who uses the power of sun light. Some
more powerful advanced light users have even tapped into
primordial light as a type of light they can draw from as well.
This light is countered best by darkness abilities, and stronger
darkness abilities like unholy darkness can counter the holy
element of this light ability.
Divine Smite: With angel
power, all angels have enhanced smiting abilities which is often
mistaken for divine lightning. The first is when they put their
hands on others, and purify unholy presences, being able to
destroy things like demons possessing a body. This ability is
set up so that an angel can attack presences in people through
physical contact. Some refer to this as "purification" but the
angels usually refer to it as "smiting" as their purification is
actually different. This is an attack skill designed to destroy
a presence inside of others, usually to cast demons out of
humans. When used through physical contact, the angel is able to
exorcise a presence or burn the presence completely out of
someone. Exorcising takes less time, but doesn't hurt the
presence in the body which is usually the safer option for most
angels so they don't kill the host. However, the second option
can burn the presence usually by overpowering it with their own
nature, and burn the presence out of them. Not only does this
take longer to do, but this also is a big danger to the host, as
the host can actually be killed with this ability. This ability
is typically better to use for exorcisms, since most angels are
usually trying to save people from presences when using this
power. This time it takes to destroy a presence or exorcise it
also depends on the creature, it's strength and the type of
angel. Certain creatures take much longer or some creatures like
leviathans can't be cast out by normal angels. It's also
important to note that angels take longer to cast out presences
than archangels do, who can do this a bit faster than normal
angels can.
Divine Lightning: This ability is often called
divine lightning despite not being true lightning. In this
ability, angels are able to fire blasts of angelic energy with a
current-like nature, which acts similar to electricity
manipulation, but is actually holy energy. Usually, this is
designed to damage opponents, blasting opponents with holy
energy that can do damage as the current runs through their
bodies. This ability is also very useful in trying to break
through warding, in which normal angels came up with a way to
use this to burn through wording by using this as a group.
Angels usually best use this ability in a group, where they
attack stronger enemies with power beyond them as individuals.
They can also blast opponents with this, with it doing holy
energy damage, and works very well against weakening demons.
Angels can also use this in groups from above, firing this blast
down on an opponent like a lightning strike as well. Typically
when used from above, groups of angels will get together and
blast strong enemies as a group, since it does more damage with
them amplifying each other's power using this. Archangels also
have a much stronger version of this, where they are able to
blast with much more impact force, and do more damage to
opponents with this than normal angels can. This power is a
fairly basic energy manipulation of an angel's holy energy, but
is still block able by strong enough weapons, shields and
armors. Strong enough energies can also counter this energy
(though one has to account for the strength of the angel/angels,
and know that archangels are much more powerful in how they use
this).
- Angelic Possession: Typically angels fall into
one of two categories when they come to earth in how they choose
to interact with mortals. The first are the more spiritual
angels that are typically not visible to people without special
senses, and these angels typically tend to possess humans in
order to interact with the world. Unlike demons who forcefully
possess people, angels have to get permission from the host
before they are allowed to possess them. Most angelic
possessions are a sort of union of minds and usually involve the
person they're possessing working together with the angel
possessing them. This can be very beneficial, and the longer the
angel and being are together could result in the angel and being
actually melding together and gaining some of each other's
powers if they're together for long enough. This is a very
useful method for angels, since they typically don't have to
worry as much about mortal resistance in the mind like demons
do, making their possessions easier. There are angels who trick
humans into possessing them though, and angels can suppress
resistant minds, but ultimately, most angels are only able to
stay in a body as long as the person is willing, and once the
person possessed rejects them, they typically are able to push
them out much more easily than demonic possession. However, one
thing to note is that stronger angels are more suppressive with
their natures, suppressing the minds of those they possess,
whether intentionally or not. Of course, this can be misused by
angels, in which they can manipulate mortals they possess if
they choose to, but this is actually designed to be a mutually
beneficial type of possession with the being possessed and angel
working together.
- Angelic Shapeshift: Some angels who
are more physical beings don't actually need to possess people,
in which some angels are able to simply shapeshift into
creatures that they want to take the forms of, even being able
to take unique forms based on what they want to do. They can not
only change their shape, but disguise their presence as well,
often appearing as whatever creature they're trying to imitate.
Usually, most angels appear completely human when using this, in
which they choose this method to blend in with others to not
stand out. This is very useful since it means the angel is able
to just take the form they want rather than trying to find a
vessel like more spiritual angels. This allows them to take any
race's form they desire, with some of them even gaining physical
properties of the race they're taking, such as imitating a
werewolf and gaining a wolf-like appearance with claws and
teeth. However, this only replicates physical traits, and
doesn't allow for gaining new supernatural abilities. However,
there are some angels that do have specific shapeshift
abilities, such as Erena having a form copy power to copy
powers, or some angels gaining power from certain
transformations, but theses are usually unique depending on the
angel. Most angels who use this only use this to change form,
with some using this to manipulate their physical bodies and
giving themselves more attack options such as taking a form with
claws to allow the angel to attack using the claws. However,
overall, they are still angel, and can still be attacked the
same way as normal angels, unless it is a special transformation
ability they possess.
- Angel Healing, Purification, and
Restoration: All angels have healing powers, as well as
restoration abilities they can use on others. The main ability
is being able to heal others, being able to heal things like
injuries, and heal things like afflictions caused by
supernatural abilities (like unholy energy poisoning). Angels
are able to use this to also purify the presences from others,
being able to purify things like unwanted presences in the body,
and being able to remove afflictions from the user as needed.
Usually, their powers of healing and purification are pretty
useful for allies, and can even be used on themselves to a
degree since they are able to purify and heal themselves if they
find themselves in a place where they can't heal as easily.
Their last power is that of restoration, where they can restore
people and objects. Angels are able to restore not only people,
but broken objects as well depending on the object. This
typically helps with things like trying to restore objects they
need, or restoring broken weapons and armors. These abilities
typically come from an angel's nature, in which they have a
natural restorative power they are able to use that is powered
by their holy energy. This is an ability designed mostly for
healing and restoration, and this has no real attack ability in
battle, other than an angel healing themselves. Archangels also
have much more powerful healing abilities and can heal/restore
much faster than normal angels due to their enhanced holy power
and them being much more powerful than normal angels.
-
Angelic Resurrection: If someone dies, an angel is able to bring
them back to life. Angelic resurrection is able to bring the
dead back to life, which is usually much more difficult than
most other beings. Thanks to their status in Heaven, they are
usually able to resurrect anyone they desire to. However, there
are some things to note with this. The first is that they must
have the body and the soul of the person they are trying to
bring back. They can bring someone back with just the body, but
that can be a double edged sword since bringing someone back
without a soul can leave them in a state of being unable to feel
emotions, and they usually end up becoming problems later.
Usually, they can bring souls from heaven pretty easily, but
taking souls from hell is much more difficult, since certain
people having been brought back have required angels going to
hell and pulling the soul out, which can be dangerous especially
if the demons there don't want the soul to be taken from hell.
For the most part, this is only done in rare circumstances,
usually requiring a heavenly decree, or requiring the permission
of either Death or Toranoraos (usually both) before angels will
even attempt to do this. This also takes a great amount of
energy from an angel, and even an archangel can use up a lot of
power to do this. However, when used, this is typically much
more dependable than using techniques like black magic
resurrection since angelic resurrection usually doesn't have any
negative side effects other than the angel using a lot of their
power to do this. The recoil effects like taking a piece of
someone don't happen with angelic resurrection like they
typically do with black magic resurrections, and the only real
side effects the person brought back might face is if they are
brought back without a soul or scarred by what they experienced
in the afterlife (usually when being brought back from
hell).
- Angelic Holy Ally Amplification: Angels are able
to amplify those that ally with them, in which they are able to
strengthen their allies in other beings (typically empowering
humans). The most common use of this is when an angel empowers a
human, and the human becomes much harder to damage, and does
more damage to opponents. Some angels have been able to also
grant specific other defenses to others, such as some angels
granting defense against certain abilities, like using this
power to help protect them from flames or lightning powers to a
degree. This usually depends on the angel and their abilities,
as every angel typically has some unique way to amplify someone,
whether it's granting them temporary immunity to flames,
granting them regenerative abilities, or even some who can make
someone's skin hard enough to resist bullets. This amplification
doesn't typically work on other angels, and typically works best
when they are allied alongside humans who work with them. This
was originally designed for guardian angels who developed this
power in order to help protect the people they would guard from
harm, or help grant them special defense to certain things. As a
result, this power is designed not for an angel, but for the
beings an angel would protect and/or guide. This power can also
usually be countered by stronger opponents, with some having
stronger abilities, and things like demonic energy or primordial
power can easily break this amplification and do damage, being a
counter power. The angel can also only strengthen a person with
as much power as they have, so they can't empower a person
beyond their own abilities, such as a normal angel couldn't make
someone strong enough to take on an archangel or demon prince
with their amplification alone. As one might expect, the power
of the angel using this determines the power given by this
ability, for better or for worse.
- Angelic Enochian
Warding: Angels are able to wards on people and places, with
this being another power that lets them counter things like
demonic possession. Usually, angels do this, they are able to
use their power to burn wards and sigils on surfaces in order to
ward them. They are able to do things like warding against
demons, in which they would be able to use this to keep demons
from entering an area they don't want demons in, or they could
use this to even ward against angels or fallen angels depending
on what the wards used. When used on people, angels can do this
a few different ways, with them mostly being used the same way.
By putting wards on people, angels can ward others against
things like possession, ward humans with special Enochian sigils
to grant them special effects, or even making a person
untraceable by heaven and hell. Usually, angels can do this by
either burning the ward/sigil onto a person's skin, or they can
burn these into someone's bones outside of physical view. These
wards are pretty useful, and only those that know Enochian can
use counter sigils to remove these, and angels/demons that can
remove these have to know they're there and where they are on
the body. Typically, this is much more advanced types of
warding than typical warding, and use special Enochian sigils to
create powerful wards against a multitude of threats. However,
strong enough counters can counter these, like a powerful enough
demon or demon group could break a warding on an area, or
warding against possession might not work in certain
circumstances if the opponent is stronger than the ward. This
also typically only works on specific circumstances, such as
demon wards only working against demons, and angel wards only
working against angels.
- Enochian Exorcisms: Angels are
normally able to send demons back to hell using their smiting
power, however, sometimes this isn't enough, or an angel might
not want to save their power. By using Enochian exorcisms
designed for angels, angels are able to exorcise presences using
Enochian chants. This is useful for removing unwanted presences,
with this originally being used to counter demonic possession
and possession by fallen angels. This is usually designed to be
used alongside their smiting power, in which they use both to
save the amount of power they need to exorcise a presence, and
can be used to do things like casting out demonic possessions,
and even can be used to cast out fallen angel possessions.
However, certain stronger presences might require special
exorcisms or might even be immune to exorcisms (like demon
princes or some more powerful archangels). For the most part,
this is also good to use because it can free those possessed
without hurting them, as the exorcism sends the presence
somewhere depending on the presence (like demons being sent back
to hell). For the most part tough, this doesn't stop the
presence from coming back, as there's usually nothing to stop
presences from coming back (like demons being able to eventually
return from hell). Usually, this is best used to free someone
from possession, then put wards on them so they cannot be
possessed again.
- Angelic Sleeping Touch: This lets an
angel put someone to sleep by touching their forehead. Through
physical contact, an angel can shut down a being's conscious
mind, which renders them unconscious. This particular skill is
very useful for knocking out others that they don't want to
fight, as it typically lets them avoid combat with people that
they'd rather not fight. This ability also bypasses psychic
protection, as it uses the angelic presence to overwhelm the
conscious mind. Advanced users of this ability can even wipe
short term memories, with archangels even being able to wipe
long-term memories from the mind for those that they don't want
to know certain things. Usually wiping the mind is only used for
those they don't want to know Heaven is protecting them, so they
use this to wipe the mind if the person they are protecting sees
them or makes it so they don't remember anything bad happening
to them. However, this doesn't work on all races, as the angel
must be more powerful than the person they're trying to put to
sleep, since this power requires overwhelming the presence of
someone else to use. For this reason, typically angels are only
able to use this on normal humans or weaker supernaturals, and
this doesn't work on anyone as strong or stronger than them in
terms of presence. This power also requires physical touch for
at least one round to put into effect, so if the opponent breaks
contact during that round, they can avoid being put to sleep.
Typically tough, this is only used on innocent bystanders or
those that aren't a part of a battle, in order to keep them out
of the fight.
- Angelic Teleportation/Space and Time
Travel: This ability is one that most angels share, in that
almost all angels can teleport. Not only can they teleport
around, but they are able to teleport to other realms as well,
such as going back and forth from heaven, earth and even going
to the Veil where dead spirits reside. They are even able to
travel to hell, though traveling to hell is typically dangerous
to angels as they will often be attacked by demons there if they
do teleport there. Some angels are even skilled enough that they
can bend time and travel through time either by themselves or
with others. Due to this, most angels are able to travel in some
way through time and space fairly easily. While traveling to
certain places, like traveling time, takes a lot of energy, most
angels can use basic teleportation to travel around as they
desire. Some angels even teleport differently, such as some
might disappear in a burst of light, or some might vanish, or
some even leave flurries of angelic feathers from their wings
behind as they teleport away. When used, the angel does have to
know where they are going, or else they might travel somewhere
randomly and get lost. This is especially important when
traveling between realms like going from heaven to earth, where
they might get lost in between if they don't know where they're
going. However, most angels know the path between heaven and
earth, and aside from sometimes not knowing where specific
places are, they typically have no problem traveling there if
they know where they are going.
- Angelic Astral
Projection/Dream-walking: Ever since ancient times, angels have
been able to use their spiritual like being to go back and forth
from manifesting as spirits. The main use of this was to be able
to appear in dreams, a power that angels have used to convey
messages to people chosen by heaven in the past. Unlike most
beings who separate their spirit, an angel is able to turn into
a spiritual being, in which they can enter the astral plane and
react with not only dreams, but can also interact with dead
spirits, and some intelligent spirits that are not dead spirits.
Angels are able to go to the Veil where dead spirits are usually
found, or the angel can attempt to go to the Spirit Realm, which
is a realm where natural spirits reside, if they are able to
perceive the spirits (Though this is usually a dangerous trip
requiring special training to get into the spirit realm due to
it's unique spirit perception required). This lets users commune
with the dead, and with spirits that can be perceived. Of
course, the biggest use for this is to interact with spirits,
but also if one is trying to interact with a dead spirit, it is
much easier to do so in astral projection than in physical form.
The other main use of this is going back and forth from dreams,
in which angels can also enter the dream realm, though usually
in a limited fashion where they can only interact in dreams and
cannot access the full dream realm or create dreams like many
dream demons can.
Fighting Styles/Combat Training: Having lived longer than
man-kind, most angels have a multitude of combat experience.
Some have learned basic combat training, though most usually
have styles they have learned from their time among humans, and
depending on the angel and where they spend their time, many
have learned different styles of combat. Depending on the angel,
some may even have multiple fighting styles they've learned over
the years. Many angels tend to be very skilled in combat, having
had a very long time to learn and even master combat styles.
Depending on the angel, they could have any style they've picked
up from ancient martial arts to modern martial arts, to ancient
soldier training and modern military combat training. Depending
on where they've been and what they've learned, there are many
styles out there to choose from, with most angels usually having
a unique mix of skills, and some even having their own combat
styles. However, each style usually has it's own weaknesses and
strengths with some focusing on certain techniques and some
focusing on certain stats and abilities. This not only includes
combat styles, but also might include weapon styles for those
that use specific weapons.
- Supernatural Hunter
Training/Hunting Experience: Having been around since early
creation and having fought many battles over the years, most
angels are skilled supernatural hunters who know easily how to
fight most types of supernaturals in the world. Most angels know
the strengths and weaknesses of many kinds of supernaturals,
including some like time lords that are more rare depending on
the angel's individual experiences. Most angels are skilled
opponents to face by any race, and knows how to take down most
supernaturals thanks to their experience. Any supernaturals an
angel doesn't know about, they can usually find information
through the angelic network as needed since they can still talk
to other angels still on earth. Since most angels are typically
very smart beings and have a lot of experience to teach them how
to handle many types of situations, they are able to often come
up with solutions to most problems if they encounter a
supernatural with an ability they can't counter. Though angels
don't know everything about supernaturals, they usually know a
lot about the supernaturals they fight, even though there are
plenty they don't know, just like many other fighters since the
universe is filled with many unknown races and beings. While
they can handle things like demons and fallen angels more easily
due to experience fighting them, usually primordial creatures
like the The'Galin are typically outside of the knowledge of
angels, usually requiring someone else to give them information
on these creatures.
- Tracking and Hunting Expert: This is
another thing that comes with experience in being a supernatural
hunter, in which many people trained as supernatural hunters
learn how to track and hunt supernaturals who are threats, often
learning the best ways to track down their opponents as well as
how supernatural hunters may track them if they ever find
themselves on the wrong end of a supernatural hunter (in the
case of supernaturals). Those trained in this learn very subtle
things from their training, like telling whether a foot print is
their target or not by things like the shape of the boot and how
deep the boot-print is, with some being advanced trackers that
are able to identify people by boot prints, as well as also
being able to tell where opponents go thanks to things like
walking on plants, and animals that are unusually silent in a
direction. Some even have a sense of when opponents are near,
and can often gain a sense of where their opponents are going
while tracking them. Of course, with a supernatural senses, this
becomes even more effective as those with enhanced senses can do
things like find traces of body heat, traces of presences, or
even just telling what's around them more easily with special
senses.
- Supernatural Exorcism, Weakness and Trap
Training: Of course, every supernatural hunter has to learn how
to do things like exorcisms, and use traps for certain types of
races. From their training as well as their experience, angels
were trained heavily in how to trap and contain supernaturals
mostly through Enochian knowledge and spells/sigils. They are
taught things like how to draw demon traps, how to build traps
for other supernaturals, or how to lure out supernaturals if
they try to hide. They are also taught all manners of exorcisms,
from exorcising demons, to using Enochian sigils to cast out
fallen angels and sometimes even how to cast out angels. Of
course, as many angels have had plenty of practice and
experience, they also eventually developed experience with it
over time, and can learn new ways to take on supernaturals
thanks to experimentation with their abilities and knowing how
to combine certain exorcisms and abilities. Depending on what's
available, some angels can come up with new ways to take on
supernaturals, and this works even better when paired with their
smiting and purification abilities, in which this usually
determines how they use exorcisms and purification since their
knowledge typically determines how effective their exorcism
would be, as well as their power also helping determine outcomes
of exorcisms..

Passive Abilities:
- Angelic
Wings/Wing Suppression: All angels have angel wings to a degree,
with some having more unique wings than others. These wings are
usually a defining trait for angels, and as one might expect,
angels are able to fly using these wings. Typically most wings
look bird-like in nature, being white wings that can give off
light when shown that comes from the spirit of the angel itself.
These wings can be made visible, but most angels on earth have
ways to suppress their wings, with two main ways. The first is
simple, in which their wings are shapeshifted into their backs,
usually shapeshifted so they are out of sight. The second is the
more common method most angels use, where their wings are left
on the spiritual plane rather than on the physical one, and
their wings become intangible as a result. While still there,
their wings are not seen, and cannot be attacked while they are
in the spiritual plane. Usually when this method is used, the
only real way to see the angel's wings is when they flare up
their angelic power, and their wings become visible on their
shadows behind them as their bodies generate a mass of light.
However, there are angels that have unique abilities with their
wings, such as some who are able to use special wing skills
(like Amenadiel being able to shapeshift his wings into
spear-like projectiles).
- Angel/Archangel Regeneration:
Those that have seen angels often figure out quickly that angels
have powerful regeneration, and much harder to kill than demons
are (typically). Aside from specific weapons like angel blades,
varanium weapons, and other weapons designed to kill any
creature, angels typically are very difficult to kill, and able
to regenerate their bodies even from a puddle of blood on the
ground. As long as there is something left of them, they are
able to regenerate, with angels having among the most powerful
supernatural regenerations alongside demons and fallen angels.
Typically, most angels have some form of regeneration, and some
angels don't have as strong regeneration due to having trained
other defensive abilities, but most angels do have some form of
regeneration. Typically, angelic regeneration isn't as strong as
archangel regeneration, as archangels are not vulnerable to all
the same things normal angels are weaker too. Archangels are
still killable, but they not only regenerate faster, but also
are able to withstand normal angel blades, and certain other
weapons that would kill angels. For the most part, their
regeneration is powerful, but things like varanium, death
scythes, other archangel blades, and even demon prince power can
still kill them, though many archangels take longer to kill than
normal angels. Depending on the injuries, more injuries might
take longer to regenerate, and depending on the angel and the
strength of their regeneration, some wounds will also be more
difficult to regenerate. As a result, typically doing something
like cutting an angel's head off can stop them even if it's
temporarily if one cannot kill an angel or archangel, as there
are still strategies that work since they do still take
damage.
- Angel/Archangel Hardskin Defense: Some angels
have actually developed a type of defense using their holy
auras, in which some angels have developed a harder skin using
their divine auras, and have made their skin much harder to
pierce in combat. Typically this comes alongside their
regeneration, in which angels can focus some of their
regenerative power into this to strengthen their defense. The
question mostly becomes which skill do the angels want more, as
some prefer regeneration, but some prefer not taking the damage
at all. Typically, this defense, at its fullest, can defend
against normal bullets, and some higher level bullets, with
those like Amenadiel showing that toughening the body can be
just as useful in a fight as regenerating injuries. The main
issue with this is that, in order to use it, one must sacrifice
some regenerative ability in order to generate the power form
this, since this power has to come from a source. Typically
angels have a choice of either one or the other, or weakening
both to get a little of both skills. This depends on the angel,
as some may prefer one over the other. At full strength, some
angels and archangels have often been seen as nearly
indestructible by weaker opponents (even though they are just
harder to damage). Typically, archangels have more power they
can put into this, but this does still require putting in some
of their regenerative power. When at full strength, angels are
only able to regenerate basic injuries and cannot regenerate
fatal wounds easily (though they still can). This can, however,
be more easily pierced by demonic or darkness power, since this
power runs on an angel's holy presence/aura. Certain weapons can
even ignore this defense entirely, such as angel blades being
able to instantly break this ability, and celestial weapons can
more easily break this skill as well.
- Angelic Immunity
to Holy Effects: Angels are completely immune to the effects of
holy energy. The purifying effects and damaging effects of holy
energy is something that no angel has to worry about (unless
they are a fallen angel), since they are holy beings. Things
like holy afflictions or purifying power typically doesn't work
unless it's something aimed at angels specifically (like
Enochian angelic exorcism chants), and they cannot be negatively
effected by holy energy or any advanced holy energy. While they
can still take damage from the attack itself, like being sliced
by a holy blade or being hit with a holy attack, the actual
purifying effects don't have any real effect on them and, for
some, can actually serve to empower some angels. For the most
part, while they are not vulnerable to holy power, they are more
vulnerable to demonic power, which does more damage. Demonic
afflictions are also more effective on angels, as well as some
fallen angels having ways to cast afflictions on angels through
things like their corrupted aura of the fallen. Typically, most
angels are like this, with almost none of them being affected by
holy energy effects, but can be affected by demonic effects and
fallen angel effects.
- Angelic Holy Presence Empowerment:
Like demons who are able to gain power from sinful desires,
angels have their own way to more easily regain their power and
even amp their power if their power is full. By absorbing energy
from a holy place, or a holy item, they are able to replenish
their power. This could be as simple as drinking holy water, or
even walking into a holy place to recover strength from the holy
place, like a church or sanctified area. For the most part,
these items and places help replenish an angel's power when they
need a faster recovery, and can even help strengthen them if
used. When fighting battles in sanctified places or in places
like churches, angels gain an advantage as the holiness of the
holy place they are not only restores some of an angel's power
as they fight, but also tend to weaken unholy presences like
demons due to the holy presence. As such, angels usually fight
best in places that are holy since they are able to constantly
recover some of their power. However, depending on the area,
it's not often all of their power that gets restored, and
typically, this also depends on the angel and how much of an
affinity for absorbing holy energy from presences they have.
Another thing to note is that this method takes longer to
recharge archangels, since archangels typically have more power
than normal angels to restore, making this better for normal
angels, but this does also work for archangels even if it's to a
lesser degree. Typically, holy places are the best places to do
this, or using certain holy items as only certain holy items
will do this (like holy water). For example, an angel cannot
gain power from a burning ring of holy oil, as it doesn't give
off a kind of holy power they can absorb.
- Angel Radio:
Angels have their own communication network, dubbed by mortals
as "Angel Radio". Typically, even angels have come to refer to
this as angel radio, and use it to communicate with each other
when needed. This is shared among all angels, with any angel
being able to communicate on it, and hear what's going on. Even
nephilim that are not full angels are able to tap into this with
training or the right angel forcing communication with them.
Usually the main use of this is for them to communicate with
each other, but there is another use for this in which angels
can hear the prayers of mortals. Usually, it's rare for lower
angels to get prayers specifically, but some angels respond to
prayers and will actually use this to help mortals who need it
(usually grand priest angels who's primary job is to build faith
in humans). Typically, angels are able to zero in on anyone who
prays, even if they are warded, and are able to go to that
person (though they might not be able to reach them if they are
warded). Most angels can hear general prayers, though typically,
specific angels being prayed to can only be heard by the angel
that the mortal is praying to, such as the Winchesters sometimes
using this to call Castiel when they need him. This can also be
used to send tactical information during large-scale battles, as
angels are not only able to communicate battle plans, but can
even do things like sending SOS signals. This isn't a battle
power, just being mostly for angels who answer prayers in God's
place and for angels to communicate. However, caution is advised
for those that tap into this without Heaven's consent, as those
who access this without heaven's consent are often investigated
to see if the person should have a connection to angel radio or
not (usually investigating nephilim as they are the only one
that can usually tap into this besides angels and the rare
fallen angel.
- Angelic Mimicry/Mortal Reading: Angels
have a natural affinity for mimicking others, in which they can
do things like mimicking someone's actions exactly. Their
mimicry is so complete that they are even able to copy the
voices of others, such as mimicking the voice of someone to lure
an enemy into a trap, or mimicking someone's actions to each
muscle movement. This typically goes along with their ability to
read mortals, in which angels are able to read a mortal's body
language usually fairly easily. The biggest use for this is that
most angels can tell when someone is lying, in which they can
tell by reading the person's body whether or not the person
believes they are telling the truth. While this doesn't help
against those that can suppress their unconscious minds signs at
lying (like the Darkfires and Hazeldines can), it does help
angels more easily read almost anyone that they can read. When
combining these two abilities together, it shows that the angels
have a high ability to read someone, as well as mimic their
movements and can even copy certain combat styles by watching
people fight. Typically, this can help in a fight, since they
can more easily learn how certain combat styles work. However,
some beings might not be as easy to mimic, specifically those
that have specific powers that prevent themselves from being
mimicked, and some have abilities that prevent them from being
read by other beings.
- Angelic Cosmic Awareness: Most
angels are powerful enough that they are aware of most things
going on in the known universe, as long as it's something the
angels have knowledge of. Angels typically have a pretty good
understanding of much of the forces of the universe, including
those many people wouldn't think would be important. On top of
that, most angels have such an awareness of the universe that
most angels can detect changes in space and time, in which
angels can tell when someone is time traveling and changing
time, or tell when someone is teleporting if they can track the
teleportation. For the most part, angels are designed to be able
to handle most threats in the known universe, and aside from
things like primordial beings, they typically have knowledge of
most things going on, including knowing things like when portals
to alternate dimensions have been created as well. However,
there is a limit to this, as certain types of creatures are not
always known or angels might not have awareness of the entire
universe. One such example is that angels typically don't have
any cosmic knowledge of primordial beings, with one example
being the The'Galin (though many angels do now know about them
due to the war being fought). For the most part, some angels
have faced primordial beings and simple described heaven's
response as "alarms are going off that haven't gone off since
creation", which shows that their knowledge only goes so
far.
- Multi-Linguist/Language Learning: Most angels and
fallen angels have been around a long time, and know a great
many languages used by people on earth. Typically, most angels
know almost every language on earth, including ancient and
forgotten languages. The most common one to hear from an angel
is Enochian, in which Enochian is the language used by angels,
and is usually the default language they have that is used in
Heaven by angels. However, angels are also able to speak other
languages, with their second specialty being Hebrew, Biblical
Hebrew and other ancient languages that were used to write the
bible, which many angels know about. However, they are not
limited to these languages, as they can speak almost any modern
language, such as English, French, Spanish, and many other
languages. Because angels have been around since the creation of
humanity, they have mostly seen every language that has
developed thanks to man, and know almost every language there is
to know since they also knew each language before the languages
all split off and eventually became different languages. Due to
this, they have no need to learn new languages, as they
automatically gain this through interacting with humans and can
learn other languages after hearing enough of the
language.
- Angelic Supernatural Life Span: Angels and
archangels, being angelic beings, have an indefinite lifespan.
Thanks in part to their supernatural regeneration, and their
design in being a type of creature that doesn't get old, angels
don't age, and no known angel has died of old age that hadn't
given up their grace to become mortal. While an angel can still
be killed in battle, or killed in a few different ways, they
cannot die of old age, because their angelic regeneration and
their design has been set up so that they do not grow old. Most
angels stay in the same form they were since the dawn of
creation (as they are created in their prime form), in which
their angelic self typically takes the form of the form they
take when they were created. For the most part, it's not known
if angels will eventually die of old age and just haven't yet,
since it's not known if older angel's regeneration can break
down over time, which often causes many regenerative types to
age once they get old enough they start losing their
regenerative abilities. Since no angel has reached that point,
it is believed that they have an indefinite life span, and since
it's believed angels were designed this way, the angels are
believed to never have to worry about dying of old age unless
they choose to by giving up their grace and living a human life
(which some have done). Since the life span is indefinite, no
one knows if angels or archangels can die of old age. It's not
said by those like God, so it's believed that they have an
indefinite life span unless something in them is changed by
those like God. However, this doesn't mean they can't be killed
in battle, as they can still be killed by things like angel
blades (normal angels can be killed by angel blades), or things
like death scythes (which can also kill archangels).
-
Supernatural Telepathy: This ability lets an angel communicate
telepathically with anyone they can connect to. Typically this
power uses their angel radio, in which they use it to tune to a
person if they know where they are in order to communicate with
them. This lets them communicate with other people without
having to speak, with them being able to share thoughts directly
with others. However, usually the angel has to know where the
person is to use this since they have to know where to send
their thoughts. However, this doesn't apply to those who
establish permanent connections, such as connecting to other
family members. This lets angels not only communicate with those
they have a permanent connect with, but can also tell them where
they are at any time should they require to find them or need to
be summoned to them (which they typically do with their angel
radio). Those who are set up with permanent connections have to
accept the connection, and even then, they can sever it if they
choose to.
- Weapon Intangible Storing/Summoning: While
most angels don't use a lot of weapons other than angel blades,
they are able to summon their weapons if they know where they
are. Similar to their teleportation power, they can typically
call their weapons to them at any time, as well as some even
being able to store their weapon intangibly on their person
where it is with them, but made intangible in a manner similar
to their art of making their wings intangible. As such, this
makes a good way to store weapons that won't cause problems, as
they can use this to store weapons on them, but being
intangible, they don't slow the angel down to keep with them.
Usually, most angels keep their angel blades in their sleeves,
where their blades are summoned and called out of their sleeves
when they need them. Some angels have their own unique arts for
this, but this is a good way to store weapons in a way that
doesn't require them to carry them, but also doesn't bog down
their spirits with weapons like those that use the attach items
to self power. They are able to store any weapon on them they
desire, however, unlike the attach item to self power, they
cannot summon the weapon back to them if they are separated from
it, and they typically have to go and get the weapon before they
can de-summon it. Some have unique arts for this, but typically
this is the best way to store weapons for an angel.
-
Angelic Enhanced Senses; Depending on the angels, most angels
have highly enhanced senses. Most are able to do things like
seeing things from very far away, or hearing a conversation
going on a block away. They also have a strong enough sense of
smell that they can tell who people are just by the scent they
give off, and can even smell someone's DNA through scent alone.
Thanks to this, angels have very strong senses, and are on par
with almost any supernatural's senses. Each angel has their own
balance of senses, with some having lesser senses and other
stronger senses, usually depending on the angel and what their
specialties are. Typically, most angels do have very strong
senses, which can also be a weakness to a degree, since enhanced
senses can be taken advantage of, such as taking advantage of a
strong sense of smell by using a strong smell to overwhelm them.
This does depend on the angel, as some don't have as enhanced
senses, but those that do can be very difficult to avoid. Some
can even gain unique senses, such as fire users gaining a
thermal sense, or a lightning user being able to sense
electrical signals around them, mostly depending on the skills
and how the angel uses them.
- Angelic Sixth Sense: Much
like vampires and other supernaturals, angels can sense the
presence of other beings, and sensing who and what they are.
This can sense not only one's presence, but their levels of
energy and how tough they are, allowing the user to gauge how
they stand against them, as well as often being able to tell
what they are by their presence if the user recognizes what kind
of presence it is. However, this can be deceived by skilled
opponents, sometimes not appearing correctly if the user can't
sense the opponent's full power or use powers that fool this
sense. There are also skills that hide one's presence so those
with this sense can't sense them, or some opponents can suppress
their presence so they're not fully able to be sensed. While
this isn't always the best judge of someone's abilities, it can
provide a slight insight to help the user as to what they face
or what's around them.
- Angelic Mind Resistance: All
angels have a resistance to mind alterations and other powers
that influence the mind thanks to their design. When the angels
were created, they weren't granted minds like those of mortal
beings, but rather, they had unique minds that were "programmed"
by their creator (like God programming the angels he created).
As such, they have resistance to powers that might interfere
with this, as they all have a base "programming" that
essentially cannot be altered by most creatures. As a result,
most abilities that affect the mind don't work well on angels,
though some stronger abilities do still work but to a reduced
effect. The only real exception to this is those that have
figured out how this "programming" works, like those like
Crowley have researched angels enough and even managed to use
rods that were drilled into an angel's mind to "rewrite" their
minds to a small degree. While this is not possible to do on a
large scale, those that know how this works can actually reduce
this defense by actually damaging their heads, such as stabbing
certain parts of their brain. However, the specifics of how to
do this are not known, and no one besides a select few even know
that Crowley was able to do it in the past.
- Enhanced
Angel/Archangel and Combat Trained Physical Stats: All angels
and archangels are all trained and are highly enhanced warriors
designed specifically for battle. For the most part, all angels
have highly enhanced physical stats in some way. Each angel
typically has different abilities, with each angel being
different in their physical combat. This depends not only on the
angel specifically, but also depends on their training and how
they train their physical stats. Some may focus on strength,
some on defense, or some on speed. This is usually specific to
each angel, with archangels usually even having higher physical
stats than normal angels due to being designed as heaven's most
powerful weapons. Angels and archangels are usually very tough
opponents, and most typically have stats that let them compete
with a lot of higher level supernaturals, whether they are
normal angel, grand priest angel or even archangel. As such,
it's hard to predict the individual stats of every angel, but
one typical rule is that angels usually either focus one to
three stats specifically, or they may focus all their stats
evenly. If they focus one to three stats specifically, other
stats not trained are typically not as high with certain
exceptions. And when an angel focuses all their stats evenly,
they typically have lesser stats, but all their stats are
usually fairly even. Again, this does depend on the angel and
their own preferences, as well as the level of angel that one is
up against.

Superhuman Strength: As among if not the most powerful angel,
Lucifer is incredibly strong, capable of exerting high amounts
of superhuman physical force when he so desires, even while
weakened due to not having his wings, notably able to
effotlessly throw a large man flying over 50 feet through a
glass wall with a mere one-handed push and to casually backhand
Carver so hard that the latter collapsed coughing to the ground.
He easily caught Amenadiel's punch with little effort and proved
to overpower him and surpass Amenadiel's super celestial
strength and fighting abilities, pummeling him eventually.
Additionally, Lucifer also once threw a large grown man through
a brick wall with no effort at all. Lucifer's god-like strength
does not seem to be affected by Chloe's presence, as he was able
to throw a man with one hand off a building with no effort even
with Chloe's presence. Lucifer is seen multiple times,
effortlessly lifting up large men by thier necks very high off
of the ground with only one hand. Lucifer punches thru brick
walls with ease, flips over large vehicles with ease, and is
able to throw large grown men across a room up to 100 feet. With
his incredible superhuman strength Lucifer is able to use his
angellic wings to generate great gusts of wind to create enough
concussive force to send a full grown human across a room.
Superhuman Metabolism: While immense amounts of alcohol seem to
effect Lucifer on some level, he does not become completely
drunk. This is seen when Lucifer tries to drink his problems
away. While not completely drunk, he does stumble around and
acts without regard to those around him.
Superhuman Speed: Lucifer can move much faster than any human
being, allowing him to appear out of nowhere and to disappear in
a blink of an eye.
Superhuman Reflexes and Reactions: Lucifer possesses incredible
reflexes, as he was able to effortlessly catch a knife that was
thrown extremly fast at him by Maze, and could easily block
Amenadiel's punch and outmaneuver him, hitting him repeatedly
while blocking most of his attacks. Lucifer was also able to
dodge many of the attacks with a demon knife by Marcus Pierce, a
former immortal with eons of fighting experience, with ease,
parrying many lethal blows and only taking minor scratches.
Flight: Lucifer's wings allow him to fly, including between
Earth and Hell. After leaving Hell, he had Mazikeen cut them
off, he later burned them to prevent them from ever being
reattached or stolen again. After being knocked out by a
mysterious being Lucifer woke up in a desert with his wings
reattached and thus in addition to regaining all of the powers
he had before the removal of his wings, Lucifer also becomes
able to fly again. Also, his wings appear to no longer be able
to be removed by simply cutting them off, as even though he cut
them off and the feathers and pieces remain, Lucifer would later
manifest his wings again, which showed no scratches. He can fly
at speeds in which he would seemingly disappear from the human
eye like he did in in order to escape from gunfire with Chloe to
a safe distance.
Inter-dimensional Travel: With his angelic wings, Lucifer
possesses the ability to physically fly to and from Hell. He can
physically take demons from Hell and physically bring them to
Earth. Without his wings, Lucifer would not be able to
physically go to Hell and would need to die in order to
spiritually travel to the dimension.
Resurrection: Using his wings, Lucifer can fly to Hell and back.
While doing so, he can bring back souls from Hell and place them
into recently deceased bodies, as he did with Abel
Desire Exhibition: Lucifer's mere presence lowers the
inhibitions of everyone around him, inducing them to reveal
their true nature, their darkest secrets, and desires, such as
when he notably has a cop to confess his desire to be free of
the law. This allows Lucifer to make Faustian deals with various
people in exchange for favors from them. However, Lucifer may
have conscious control of this ability as no one else has been
seen acting uninhibited around him such as the police for
example, because if his mere presence was enough, then
presumably there would be some chaos as all people around him
would be able to act on their hidden desires. It is revealed
that Lucifer must maintain eye contact to get them to profess
and or act upon those desires. Which means that Lucifer lacks
the ability to manipulate the blind. Although, this ability
could be enhanced significantly be be uncontrollable when he
loses his own control of his physical form and begins to
transform fully into his devil form.
Temptation Inducement: Lucifer, being highly sexual, can easily
make himself carnally irresistible to most human woman and men,
which he sometimes uses to his advantage when he strikes deals
with them. However some select few people, such as Chloe Decker,
seem to be more resistant to this power, at least to an extent,
as even she had some trouble hiding her attraction to Lucifer's
naked body after first seeing it although this may not be a
result of any powers that Lucifer may possess.
Telekinesis: Lucifer is sometimes shown levitating and spinning
his Pentecostal Coin with hand or finger gestures.
Master Hand to Hand Combatant: Despite usually defeating his
enemies through manipulation and deceit, Lucifer is an
incredibly brilliant and invincible martial artist, being able
to fully compete with his older brother Amenadiel and even
overpower the latter at times, though it is still unknown as to
who is more powerful at full strength. He is able to withstand
many physical attacks from divine beings as well as humans, and
is shown to be capable of fending off multiple even dozens of
people at the same time. He could also fend off Uriel for a time
despite the latter using his knowledge of patterns to analyze
and form counters against him. During the season three finale,
Lucifer was able to defeat Cain with little to no difficulty,
who was an incredible fighter with many millennia of experience
and arcane knowledge. Lucifer's fighting style is reflected in
his personality; manipulating his opponent's moves and weapons
against them and their allies.
Master Of Manipulation and Deception: One of Lucifer's most
well-known traits is using his brilliant knowledge of people to
make them do things in his best interests. Lucifer used his coin
to convince Malcolm not to kill him. Using his reputation of not
lying, Lucifer tricks people by not saying what he will do. This
makes Lucifer extremely unpredictable, even to Chloe, who knows
him very well.
Deductive Analysis: Although not as experienced as Chloe,
Lucifer has become a skilled detective. He was even able to
notice that Rose's sub-dermal implants were Latin for "children
of the goat," something even Chloe couldn't do.
Singing: Lucifer has shown to be a remarkably talented singer.
He sings many times in his club Lux and also in his bedroom
above Lux. His repertoire includes "Sinnerman", "All Along the
Watchtower", "Devil May Care", "Eternal Flame", and "Luck Be a
Lady".
Pianist: In addition to singing, Lucifer is also a notable piano
player.
Escapism: Lucifer is able to get out of handcuffs, escape locked
cars, and get into places. He was able to get into a house right
after Chloe left him locked inside of her car, almost as if by
teleportation. Another time, he escaped a pair of handcuffs that
Chloe put on him. It is unclear if this ability is a mystical
power or ordinary skill.
Weapons: Angel Blade: This is a standard angel blade most normal
angels and fallen angels carry. This blade is designed to kill
demons, but can also kill angels and fallen angels as well due
to certain similarities in physiology between demons, fallen
angels, and angels. When faced with certain creatures that are
of angelic or demonic power, this works on these types of
creatures as well. When used on creatures affected by it, it
temporarily negates regeneration of the creature, specifically
working best against angel, fallen angel, and demon
regeneration. This also applies to other creatures that use such
regeneration such as demonic vampires who use demonic
regeneration or holy vampires who have more angelic power. This
weapon is very useful, made out of heavenly silver. Even against
creatures that it doesn't negate regeneration form, it's still
made out of a material that acts like blessed silver, still
being useful against creatures like vampires and those creatures
with unholy or demonic type natures. This is usually a primary
weapon for angels that don't have their own special holy weapon,
being used by angels, grand priest angels and even other types
of angels like seraphim and cupids.
- Archangel Blade:
Archangel blades are far stronger than normal angel blades,
which are designed to kill high level opponents, including those
immune to normal angel blades. These blades are slightly longer
than normal angel blades, and shaped different as they are
designed in a twisted blade. When stabbed, the twisted blade
does more damage, making the wound much harder to close. When
wielded by an archangel, or someone with archangel power, these
blades can kill archangels and demon princes, and can kill
creatures that normally wouldn't take too much damage from
archangel blades, including Sariel and Lucifer (Even though no
one knows if Sariel would be able to die to an archangel blade).
For most archangels, this is a fairly simple blade, just being a
standard archangel blade and not like some angels who reforge
their weapons into different types of weapons. This weapon, when
wielded by an archangel, negates regeneration for a short time
after being stabbed by it, similar to varanium, but because of
the weapon's power, there is no developing immunity to this
negation. The only way to not get regeneration negated by it is
by not getting hit by it. Archangel blades can also kill demons
and angels without killing the host, as the damage is only done
to the thing possessing them, and works to kill demons and
angels without needing to kill the host like normal angel
blades.
Weaknesses: Chloe Decker: Possibly due to Chloe's parents being
blessed by Amenadiel on God's orders, Chloe is insensitive to
Lucifer's preternatural charm. She is also able to render
Lucifer powerless and defenseless against all means of harming,
as seen when he bled after cutting himself in her vicinity.
Initially, she was only immune to Lucifer's charm and had no
effect on Lucifer’s abilities as Lucifer was shot multiple times
in her presence and remained perfectly fine. In an alternate
universe shown Lucifer was shot multiple times while Chloe was
nearby and was uninjured (his physical vulnerability when in
proximity to Chloe may likely be a psychosomatic manifestation
of his growing emotional vulnerability towards her)
Demonic Blades: While Lucifer only says they can "prick" him in
it is shown in that these blades can cause fatal injury to an
angel (and a demon).
Other Angels: It is first shown when Amenadiel was able to
physically harm Lucifer, even though he was far out of reach of
Chloe. This was later verified to be the case as Lucifer stated
that angels can, in fact, harm other angels.
Gods: As mentioned by Lucifer's mother, God is capable of
destroying him. Originally, Goddess was capable of annihilating
Lucifer, too. However, with her powers severely reduced due to
her similarly fallen state, she currently cannot accomplish such
a feat.
Flaming Sword: The Flaming Sword (and it's component Azrael's
blade) can eradicate angels. The angel would be permanently
gone, no Heaven nor Hell, and cannot be resurrected.
Self Actualization: Like all beings in creation, Angels are
subject to self judgement as mortals are. Self Judgement
psychosomatically-manifests itself in Angels physically and can
alter the angel drastically as see with Amenadiel losing his
powers after judging himself no longer worthy of them. After his
fall to Hell, Lucifer's self-hatred and belief that he was a
monster caused him to develop an monstrous form. After saving
his mother and choosing to tell Chloe the truth, Lucifer no
longer felt himself to be a monster and lost the ability to show
his devil face and regained his wings. After killing a human for
the first time when he killed Cain, Lucifer regained his devil
face. When further in hatred of himself, even his wings would
take on a more monsterous form and he would lose the ability to
return to a more human looking form. When he starts a full
physical transformation, his special ability of desire would run
out of control and start affecting everyone in his vicinity.
Exorcism Ritual: There exists a rare ritual that involves a vial
of some unknown substance that would send an angel to Hell
forever. The ritual also includes details in its performance
such as requiring a place that served as both a den of sin and
place of worship. Father Kinley planned for the ritual to be
performed on Lucifer and Dromos planned for it to be done on the
half angel Charlie.
Personality: Being the devil and a celestial immortal being who
has been alive since the dawn of time, Lucifer's perspective of
life is vast and as such, sees human lives as ephemeral as
memories and holds little value to them, considering from his
point of view a human lifetime seems inconsequential (with
notable exceptions). Therefore, he never hurries or runs when
chasing his prey. Lucifer views his time on Earth as a vacation
as much as a human would consider a vacation to a wildlife park.
Extremely handsome, muscular, smooth, charming, charismatic,
hypnotic, irresistible, over-powering, desirable, witty and
fully aware of it, Lucifer carries himself with an air of
supreme confidence, charisma, and egotism (at times, pure
arrogance) which is due in part to his vast supernatural powers
such as his near indestructibility, immortality, eternal life,
and his knack for hypnotizing humans to spill their secrets to
him. Because of this, Lucifer is always sure of success in
whatever he does, regardless of whatever obstacles are in his
way, and fears no consequences. On the rare occasions where he
fails to get what he is after, Lucifer usually displays
remarkable temper control, often viewing such happenings with
amusement and curiosity rather than frustration, likely another
byproduct of his immortality, invulnerability and omnipotence.
It takes a great personal attack (or attack on someone he cares
about, e.g. Chloe) to actually enrage Lucifer and when this
happens, he immediately (and sadistically) unleashes his full,
ruthless, terrifying hell-fired fury on the one responsible, all
with a terrifyingly vicious smile on his face, and often shows
his devilish, petrifying, blazing red eyes, sometimes a huge
glimpse of his terrifying devil face. Lucifer is completely out
of step with the social norms and societal rules of humans (or,
more likely, he simply chooses to ignore them). As a result,
Lucifer tends to be brutally honest with every human he comes
across and enjoys acting inappropriately in any situation,
regardless of the circumstances. Humans, who are unaware of his
true identity, typically perceive Lucifer as sarcastic, rude,
boorish, insensitive, completely inappropriate, arrogant and
incredibly irritating, even though they feel compelled to tell
him their darkest secrets, due to his powers of coercion.
Lucifer is obsessed with sex, as most human women and men find
him carnally irresistible, which he sometimes uses to his
advantage when he strikes deals with them. As something of a
shock, Lucifer can sleep with over 92 people within two months
(which leave a normal person either heavily exhausted or dead);
Lucifer himself notes he has "tremendous stamina", even stating
he can have sex with one person twice in a row without resting.
Lucifer even states whoever he sleeps with is thoroughly
exhausted to the point they sleep well through the night; he is
also creative with sexual techniques. Referring to the 92 people
previously, Lucifer considers the number "a dry spell",
suggesting sex primarily takes up his time when not assisting
Chloe. To his disgust, Goddess claims Lucifer inherited his
sexual prolific attitude from her.
Lucifer has a tenuous relationship with his angelic kin as a
result of his rebellion against God, but he is completely
unafraid of other angels, such as Amenadiel, whom he treats with
disdain and disinterest, despite the angel's threats against
him. During the bidding for religious artifacts, Lucifer and
Amenadiel joked about St. Paul being too fat to fit in the
chains shown at the auction, showing that they subconsciously
care about each other, but immediately stopped when they
realized.
Despite his flaws, Lucifer is very loyal, cares about certain
people, and even shows quite a bit of remorse for the mistakes
he made. During his time on Earth, Lucifer has gained a penchant
for using his great powers for good rather than evil (much to
the chagrin of Maze at times), not only punishing sinners but
also gaining justice for the innocent in the process. Hence,
while at times ruthless, Lucifer is not actually malevolent, and
is rather just and fair in his own way.
Deep down under his confident exterior, Lucifer appears to be
somewhat insecure about the permanent marks on his back (from
where his angelic wings used to be) and implores Chloe not to
touch them, briefly displaying an uncharacteristic gentleness
and emotional vulnerability.
Lucifer has a very low opinion of his father, often criticizing
people when they mention him and gets annoyed with expressions
containing the word "God". When Dr. Linda started to theorize
that God sent Lucifer to Hell because he was the only one God
trusted with this, Lucifer's voice **** as he went through all
that being the Devil meant, that he had made Lucifer a torturer
and caused all humans to blame Lucifer for their problems. Dr.
Linda's continued support of God and calling Lucifer by his
original name, Samael, enraged Lucifer to the point of punching
a hole in her wall. Lucifer's hatred of God extend to God's
followers, as when Father Frank came to Lucifer for help, he was
quickly denied and Lucifer assumed Frank had something to hide.
However, as he became closer with Frank, Lucifer showed a more
vulnerable side, revealing that he hated God because "he didn't
believe in me". Frank brought up that maybe God's plan for
Lucifer wasn't over yet, which Lucifer seemed to consider.
However, after Frank's death, Lucifer shouted at the sky in
rage, claiming God to be a "cruel, manipulative bastard", and
that Frank didn't deserve to die like that. Lucifer also voiced
there was no way to win in his game, regardless of being a
malevolent or benevolent figure. During this, Lucifer came the
closest to crying than he has ever had since coming to Earth,
showing that when it came to God, Lucifer was at his most
emotionally vulnerable. Lucifer firmly believes "dad holds the
reigns; end of story."; he believes everyone is walking a path
God put them in without any choices. Though he later accepts
self-judgement is real.
One of the few things that can truly annoy him is when people
blame him when something goes wrong or when they say he made
them do it. He also dislikes Satanists (as "the whole worship
thing is more my father's bag") and is associated with goats
(which was a prank by Amenadiel). Another is being accused of
lying: while Lucifer is one of the greatest manipulators in the
Universe, he never EVER lies. (His mother the Goddess confirms
this, and Amenadiel and Mazikeen seem to take it as a given.)
Although he will use hyperbole when he is joking or teasing if
he says something in earnest it is the truth. He is quite proud
of this and it offends him when others don't believe him.
In addition, Lucifer is extremely bold, with Amenadiel noting
that he has never seen the former scared, with Lucifer only
showing signs of fear after learning that his mother had broken
out of Hell. Though realizing the significance of Pierce's
identity as Cain also had Lucifer worried.
After he killed his brother, Uriel, Lucifer was clearly
emotionally shattered, crying into his mother's shoulder and
shaking. Despite having punished countless humans and having
watched many people suffer and die, he stated that he has never
killed before both due to him being an angel unable to kill
humans but also because he has never been driven or desired to
do so. He also became very self-destructive, having no qualms
about letting a shooter kill him and putting himself in harm's
way to punish himself for what he had done. This shows that
despite being out of Heaven for billions of years, and despite
the fact that they can hurt and kill him, even when he can annoy
them (and vice versa), Lucifer still loves his angelic brothers
and sisters dearly. This was also shown by the fact that he
refused to let his mother return to Heaven, as he knew that
there would be another war if she did and that more of his
angelic siblings would die.
Bio: Originally, Lucifer was known as Samael, the Lightbringer,
though he eventually became better known as Lucifer. He was the
brightest of all of God's angels. He was thought to be God's
favorite. But when Lucifer rebelled, God cast him out of Heaven,
tasking him to be the ruler of Hell and to punish the souls of
deceased sinners for eternity. Lucifer reluctantly ruled Hell
for many millenia's, gaining an incredibly fearsome and
terrifying reputation. He became known by many names, including
the Devil, Satan, Old Scratch, and Belial. Throughout the years,
Lucifer would occasionally visit Earth. Amenadiel would then
always come to take him back to Hell. Amenadiel once admitted to
Lucifer, "you've spent more time with humanity, you may
understand them better than I do."
In 2011, Lucifer decided to retire from ruling Hell and moved to
Los Angeles. He had his demon soldier, friend and servant,
Mazikeen, cut off his angel wings, signifying him leaving his
old life behind. Lucifer then opened the nightclub Lux with
Maze's assistance. By 2016, Lucifer had settled into a
hedonistic lifestyle in Los Angeles revolving around running Lux
and making Faustian deals with various people in various
industries in exchange for favors. But then one night he
witnessed the murder of a close acquaintance. Lacking faith in
the L.A.P.D., Lucifer inserted himself into the investigation,
working with homicide detective Chloe Decker. After the case is
solved, Lucifer decided to continue working with Chloe as an
LAPD civilian consultant.
Throughout his time working with Chloe he gained a fascination
with punishing criminals and would send the Devil after them.
Eventually Lucifer somehow ends up framed for murder and goes to
Amenadiel to have the Angel take him back to hell, but his
request is refused. Eventually he’s proven innocent just in time
for mother dearest to crawl her way up out of Hell. He worked
with Amenadiel to find her, but she ended up finding him first
and appeared on his front steps. His mother was very angry with
God for putting all his attention towards humanity and shutting
her out. She begged him to send her to Heaven and he refused. As
a result, he had to stop his mother from killing all the humans
at the Santa Monica Pier along with others that he cared dearly
about. He worked again with Amenadiel to banish his mother.
Shortly after Lucifer woke up in the desert with his wings
regrown.
Initially, Lucifer thought that his wings being regrown was a
punishment from God for what he did with his mother. That wasn’t
entirely the case though. His wings did come back because of
God, but it was to aid him in stopping Marcus Pierce otherwise
known as Cain. God wanted Lucifer to get Cain to stop defying
him, and Lucifer agreed by telling Cain he would help him get
rid of the Mark to finally die. Things go a bit south though as
Cain’s real goal was to rid the world of Lucifer because of
Lucifer’s relationship with Chloe. He fails to kill Lucifer
despite all his attempts and personally promises him that he
will torture him himself in hell.
Eventually, after all of this Lucifer decided it was time to
head back to Hell and reclaim the throne Crowley had taken in
his absence. He ends up discovering the doorway to be locked
which forces him to delay his plans and stay on Earth for a
little while longer until they reopen. He occupies himself once
more with operating his many businesses. In the spare time
Lucifer also made the business decision to open a branch of Lux
in Japan which he now frequents much more after moving there
with Chloe to escape the dangers LA was beginning to pose.
Lucifer has been kind enough to extend the use of his club as a
place of business for Crowley after finding the poor man locked
out too.
