Today's story takes place in a world not so different from our
own. A world that seems normal on the surface, but has many
things going on in the dark.
This universe is soon set to endure its End of Days, and both
heaven and hell know the time is nigh.
The world has gone through many trials already, with demons
running rampant in the world trying to corrupt the people. It is
a time of evil where people have come to embrace sin, and turn
their back on God. The people do not know that demons walk the
earth, but instead have chosen not to acknowledge the divine.
Day by day, more and more people are turning their backs on
religion, and choosing to put their faith in other things.
Persecution of religious people has reached an all time high,
and in most of the world, it is now illegal to be religious, due
to the religious extremism that had caused so many wars in the
past. The world has embraced their flawed idea of science, which
makes them believe that there is no God, and has led humans to
mistakenly believe they know the universe's inner workings.
However, not all is lost. One angel has made it his mission to
save as many people as he can before God's judgement falls on
the world. Where evil stands, one angel has chosen to stand
against it and bring good to the people.
The archangel, Michael, travels the world, taking on a human
identity. Determined to save as many people as he can, Michael
is employed by a group of people who are secretly fighting the
demon threat that the public does not know about.
This group, known as the Christian Army movement, has stood up
for Christians and other religious sects that have been
persecuted to try and bring religious freedom into the world. In
a few countries like the US and Israel, religion is still strong
though, and the governments have not been able to outlaw
religion, despite their best efforts.
Michael joined this movement, and was placed alongside a woman
named Dr. Clara Williams, who works investigating demonic
incidents as part of a special police unit that travels the US.
This organization is a secret section of the government, known
as the Religious Investigation Squad, or the RIS Organization.
And even though there have been rumors of thsi group's
existence, the public has mostly dismissed it as a myth, and
only the police groups that use the group accept that the group
actually exists.
Currently, Michael and Dr. Clara work as a pair of investigators
that investigate suspicious human deaths that defy logic,
usually to determine of the deaths are caused by demonic
influence. They operate in secret, and appear as detectives to
the common people.
This story follows one of Michael and Dr. Clara's
investigations...

"My name is Michael... Michael Lance. My associate is Dr. Clara
Williams."
Michael introduced himself to the police officer as they walked
through the aiport. Him and Clara had just arrived in Raleigh,
North Carolina, through the airport there. Next to Michael,
Clara was walking with them.
Michael was wearing a standard blue suit to match his blue eyes,
with his brown hair neatly combed. He looked young, but he had a
strange calmness about him that seemed to radiate from his
demeanor. Clara was wearing black leather pants and a black
leather jacket, looking more like a biker woman than a police
detective.
Officer: So... You look a bit young for a detective. He says to
Michael.
Michael: I am much older than I look. Don't worry, a lot of
people think I'm nothing impressive. I have no problem proving
my worth if needed. He says with a warm smile. even though he
didn't care about people's opinions, he did see opportunities to
prove himself to a way to convince others that God was on his
side.
Officer: Well, this is a weird case. But I'm sure you hear that
all the time in your line of work.
Michael: Fear not. Handling weird cases is our job. He says
jokingly to the officer. Micheal's voice was a calm and soft
tone, which reflected his calm nature.
Officer: Well, we have a car rental for you while you're here.
You can meet us at the police station in Bryson City. The car
already has the location programmed in. We also set you up with
a few hotel rooms so you can both relax while you're here.
Clara: Thank you, officer. We'll head there now. She says as she
and Michael are escorted to their car, and they start driving.
It was a long drive, and Michael spent most of the time leaned
up against the window, looking out at the trees around them, and
the woods that seemed to surround the area.
As she drives, she looks at Michael. Clara: Enjoying the view?
Michael just smiles as he continues looking out at the trees.
Michael: I am. It's so peaceful and calm here. Truly beautiful.
I'm truly thankful we can enjoy the trip, rather than just
having me fly us there. He says softly as he admires the scene.
Clara: You think every area we visit is beautiful. She says
sarcastically.
Michael looks over to her then back at the trees as she drives.
Michael: You humans don't truly understand the beauty of what my
father creates. The world, you humans... My father is a not just
a creator, but in my opinion, he is an artist. He explains in a
soft tone.
Clara: I suppose we just take the world for granted... She says,
almost shrugging. However, she didn't shrug, since she was
concentrated on the road. Clara was one of the few people who
knew the truth about Michael being an archangel, since Clara had
seen Michael use his angelic power.
Michael: We angels don't get to see this world much. And most of
us feel are envious that you humans get to live in such beauty.
Heaven is great, but we angels wish we could see the different
sights that you humans are blessed with. After all, Father
created this world specifically for the humans. Like a beautiful
room for a young child... He says, letting his voice trail off.
Clara: This is a beautiful area... Better than that hell in the
desert on our last case. I don't know how you could stand that
heat.
Michael laughs to himself. Michael: I suppose it's just because
I've felt the fires of Hell itself. So the desert doesn't bother
me... He says jokingly. The heat in the desert from the strong
light just reminds me how Father's light still shines for us.
Clara: And how it burned me alive out there. She says jokingly,
remembering the sun burns she got from the desert trip.
Later.
After arriving and getting checked into their hotel, Clara and
Michael go to the police station. Once in the examination room,
the doctor pulls out the corpse.
Doctor: At first, it looked like simple asphyxiation, but then
we saw the stomach, and we're certain it is some kind of
poisoned fruit...
Clara: Fruit? She says in confusion.
Doctor: You should see for yourself, but don't touch it. We know
its poisonous, but we don't know how the poison spreads. She
says as she opens up the corpse's stomach.
Clara gasps as she sees an entire brown apple inside.
Michael grabs the apple out of the stomach, and examines it.
Michael: "And it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as
I had eaten it, my belly was bitter (Revelation 10:10)." He
says, quoting scripture.
Clara: That's Revelation right? Isn't that a scroll that gets
eaten?
Michael: It is, but sinner demons use a similar method to tempt
humans. He says to Clara.
The doctor panics and looks to MIchael. Doctor: I just said that
thing is poisonous! The doctor says to Michael.
Michael: Only if you eat it. This is the fruit of a Sinner
Demon. He says, turning to the Doctor.
Clara: A Sinner Demon? Sounds a little redundant. Aren't all
demons sinners? She says sarcastically.
Michael uses his holy light to burn and destroy the fruit,
scaring the doctor. Michael: You're not wrong, Clara. He says in
response to Clara's comment.
Clara: Michael! You can't do that in public! She says to Michael
angrily.
Michael: We aren't in public. there is only one person here.
Besides, I have to destroy these before they can be consumed by
some poor soul. He says as he looks back to the two. He then
looks to the doctor, who was freaking out. Fear not. He says
simply, letting his calm aura calm the doctor.
Clara: But why fruit? She asks Michael, knowing he was an expert
on pretty much everything thanks to his long life span.
Michael: The sinner demon feeds people fruit tainted by their
presence. And when the human eats it, they crave sinful acts as
the fruit takes root in them. It's a gross twisted version of
the scroll John ate in Revelation, but demons try to use a
similar concept to trick people into a sinful state that they
cannot escape from without making themselves bitter.
Doctor: The wife of this man did say he was acting different...
Michael: Strange hunger he couldn't satisfy? Unusual lust?
Strong envy or greed? He says, turning to the doctor.
Doctor: Well... Yes. The doctor says. How did you know?
Michael: Sinner demon fruits affect the humans they take root
in. Sin makes them feel good and makes them crave the pleasure
that goes with it. And if they don't sin, the fruit becomes
bitter, and eventually kills them if they don't sin. He looks at
the body and puts his hand on the man's head. I hear you blood
crying out for redemption... You tried to turn your back on sin.
Not many would have to strength to resist a sinner demon. May my
father have mercy on you in Heaven. He says to the corpse.
Clara taps Michael on the shoulder. Clara: So how do we find
this demon?
Michael: We look for someone selling fruit. If he got the fruit
here, then it is most likely some kind of fruit stall.
The doctor thinks for a moment and turns to Michael and Clara.
Doctor: It must be one of the food stalls... Lately food stalls
have been setting up in the center of town, and people have been
enjoying the food.
Michael nods. Michael: Then that's where we start. Thank you for
your assistance. He says to the doctor with a bow before he
walks out, with Clara running out behind him.
Clara: What's the plan? She says to Michael.
Michael: When we see the demon, I'll know. And it will know too
since it will sense me. But if we take it out, the people here
should hopefully lose the bitter poison that has infected them.
He says as he walks.
Clara: Sounds easy.
Michael: Not at all. We have to find the demon, and if it gets
away, it will move to a different town and set up shop there
instead. So we have to take it out now before it can escape.
Soon, they reach the center of town. There were food stalls
everywhere, and the people seemed to eat nonstop while going
through the town, as though mesmorized by the food.
Michael looks at the people, and then sighs a bit. Michael: How
vile... Gluttony mars these beautiful people. He says as he
looks for the demon they were looking for.
Clara: You're telling me... These people are gonna explode if
they don't stop eating. She says sarcastically.
Michael walks and sees a fruit stall. Michael: Found you. He
says to himself as the fruit stall manager looks to Michael and
then starts panicking. They run out the back of the stall and
try to get away, while Michael gives chase.
Clara sighs as she tries to run after Michael, but stops as
Michael turns a corner chasing the demon and she loses track of
him.
Clara: I hate it when he does that. She says bitterly.
Meanwhile, Michael finds the demon as the demon comes to a dead
end.
Michael: I have come to stop you. He says to the demon.
The demon pulls out fruit and throws them at Michael. However,
Michael is not affected at all, as the fruits seem to explode
and Michael just walks right through the explosion.
Michael: Repent... You cannot kill me, Sinner Demon. He says
confidently.
Demon: We will never quit! This world is ours! This is our time!
Satan is the ruler of this world! He says angrily at Michael.
Michael: So prophecy has destined. But there is nothing saying I
cannot save as many people as I can from the darkness. He says
as he glows with holy light, and grabs the forehead of the
demon. Now... Leave this world. He says as he burns the demon
with holy light, until the demon is completely evaporated.
As Clara finally catches up and sees Michael evaporating the
demon, Clara just sighs.
Clara: And as usual, he finishes the job before I catch up...
Great. She says to herself.
Michael walks over to her with a smile. Michael: I took care of
the demon. These people are safe. At least until the next demon
comes along. He says as he walks. Clara follows behind him.
Clara: How do you know there will be another demon?
Michael: There's always another demon. He explains simply.
Epilogue:
After a few days in Bryson City, Michael and Clara were invited
to the church there, and Michael was invited to sing at the
church after Michael had made a comment about enjoying playing
the guitar.
While Clara and Michael were at the church, Michael is called up
to sing. Michael, ready with his guitar, walks up. The church
was small, with only about 11 people besides Michael and Clara,
along with a 3 or 4 visitors. However, it didn't bother Michael,
and he was happy to sing for them.
Michael: It is nice to see so people still dedicated to our
Father even in this dark time. There may not be many of you
here. And the song I'm about to sing is one of my favorite
songs. There are many ways God saves us, and no two stories are
exactly the same. Our Father is a great God, seeking to save as
many people that will hear his voice. He says with a smile.
Michael starts playing the guitar and singing his song. Clara
sits in the audience, listening to Michael's song.
Michael's Song: I Thank God (

)
Wandering into the night
Wanting a place to hide
This weary soul, this bag of bones
And I try with all my might
But I just can't win the fight
I'm slowly drifting, a vagabond
And just when I ran out of road
I met a Man I didn't know
And He told me that I was not alone
He picked me up, and turned me around
And placed my feet on solid ground
I thank the Master, I thank the Savior
Because He healed my heart and changed my name
Forever free, I am not the same
I thank the Master, I thank the Savior
I thank God
I cannot deny what I see
Got no choice but to believe
My doubts are burning, oh
Like ashes in the wind
So, so long to my old friends
Burden and bitterness
You can just keep it moving
For you ain't welcome here
From now 'til I walk the streets of gold
I'll sing of how You saved my soul
This wayward son has found His way back home
He picked me up, He turned me around
He placed my feet on solid ground
I thank the Master, I thank the Savior
Because He healed my heart
And changed my name
Forever free, I am not the same
I thank the Master, I thank the Savior
I thank God
Hell lost another one
I am free
Oh, I am free
Oh, I am free
Hell lost another one
I am free
I am free
Oh, I am free
He picked me up
He turned me around
He placed my feet on solid ground
I thank the Master, I thank the Savior
Because He healed my heart
He changed my name
Forever free, I'm not the same
I thank the Master, I thank the Savior
I thank God
As the song ends, everyone claps, and Michael smiles and bows to
the group before going back to his seat.
It was a dark time, but even in times of darkness, there are
those that seek to bring light to others.
End.
