Multi-Community Special Weapon: The Flaming Sword of Eden
The Flaming Sword is one of the most powerful and dangerous
weapons in the Universe. Originally created to guard the Garden
of Eden, God broke the weapon into three pieces after Lucifer’s
rebellion, but claimed he destroyed it completely. Though the
exact origins are unknown, knowledge of the split was eventually
recorded in a book written in Ancient Sumerian in the Bronze
age. While the book provided details of the location of two of
the pieces it is unknown if they still reside in the possession
of their original keepers. The third piece was originally
scattered somewhere on the vast planet and could be anywhere in
the Modern Age.
Pieces:
“God shattered the Flaming Sword into three distinct pieces: the
Blade of Death, the Medallion of Life, and the key that binds
them all together... God entrusted the key to his favorite son.”
Azrael's Blade (The Blade of Death): Originally given to the
Archangel Azrael, the Blade makes up the main part of the
flaming sword. Despite being only a piece of a much larger
weapon, the blade has formidable abilities on its’ own. It is
about the size of an angel blade and is almost crystalline in
color. It is extremely durable and sharp having been know to
slice through things like steel and marble with ease.
Eradication: A Celestial or Supernatural being who dies due to
injuries sustained by The Blade is wiped from existence. Their
souls are completely erased from the multiverse rather than
going to Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, or any of the realms between
universes. However, The Blade seemingly doesn’t affect humans as
they seem to just die and pass into the afterlife.
Enticement: The Blade seems to call out to those around it and
beckons them to pick it up and fulfill its original purpose:
Murder. It also emotionally amplifies a being’s feeling of anger
through increasing any little annoyance a thousand fold. For
example, while being cut in front of may merely annoy someone on
a normal basis, when holding The Blade such an act may drive a
person into a rampage. Celestial beings such as Angels and
Demons are more likely to be able to resist such an urge while
others don’t often seem to have the immense willpower required
for such a feat.
Pyrokinesis: The blade can ignite though in a severely reduced
manner compared to if it was in its’ full true form with the
other pieces. It can also catch fire if the wielder is feeling
an extreme negative emotion.
Medallion of Life: Originally the hilt of the sword, the
medallion was hidden on Earth where it has been lost for
millenia. It appears to be a small gold object inlaid with blue
stones. The Medallion, like The Blade, also has several of its
own abilities.
Healing: The Medallion gives the holder the ability of touch
based healing even when it comes to grave near death injuries.
However, it isn’t fully capable of resurrection.
Divine Knowledge: Not intended to be wielded by a human, or
human like being, The Medallion takes over the mind over whoever
possesses it, imparting them with temporary knowledge of the
divinity. It also imparts the memories of God from the time if
its creation into the wielder making them seem to be a vessel of
God even though this isn’t actually the case. However, the
memories only extend to those prior to the rebellion of Lucifer
and his banishment meaning while the wielder may recognize an
Archangel immediately, they would have no memory of say The
Flood. The knowledge may be enough to cause a normal being to
lose their minds or develop delusions.
Immunity: The Medallion allows the wielder to be immune to
certain substances like drugs or poisons. It also grants them
immunity to psychic based abilities as well as abilities that
may mentally compel or manipulate them into doing something.
The Key: The key is the lynchpin of the Sword, without it the
other two pieces cannot be bound together. While God did pass
the key on, he did not disclose its’ true nature. The key was
passed off to “God’s Favorite Son” though it isn’t clear who
this was or if it still remains in their possession. The Key, as
with the other two pieces, does have abilities.
Levitation: The Key also acts as a homing device for the other
two pieces, as in their vicinity it will levitate and point to
them.
Super Strength: As the key is the binding strength of the sword,
when on its own it imparts this strength into the wearer. It
imparts enough strength that a powerless human could take on a
supernatural being alone in terms of a purely physical fight.
Super Endurance: As it strengthens the wearers body to Celestial
levels of strength, a normal powerless human could survive a
trip between the multiverses or through the Divine Gate’s. It
also would allow the wearer to withstand greater magical attacks
than they could normally withstand.
Superhuman Stamina: The Key grants the wearer celestial levels
of stamina. However, this doesn’t seem to confer to a being who
already possesses supernatural levels of stamina.
Biological Modification: While wearing the key, a being would be
able to handle Celestial based energy. They would also be
granted a sort of true site allowing them to see beings, souls,
or forms not normally visible on Earth. Unlike the way a normal
being would be unable to withstand seeing an angel outside their
vessel, the same would not be said about whoever wears The Key.
The Flaming Sword Abilities:
Gate and Dimensional Slicing: When the pieces are combined, the
Sword can slice through even the very fabric of Space. It can
rend through time and space creating Universe sized voids. The
Sword can also cut through both of the divine gates. It is also
likely that the sword could be used to cut directly from one
universe into another, but a great deal of skill would be needed
to do so.
Eradication: The Flaming Sword can eradicate beings similar to
how just it’s main piece can. However, the sword affects all
beings both Human and Supernatural. This means any being who is
killed by the Sword or who dies from injuries sustained from it,
will be completely erased from existence.
Divine Protection : The Flaming Sword grants the wielder divine
levels of protection against nearly all beings and abilities
including multidimensional beings such as Death. That’s not to
say they’re immune to injury or Death, it just makes it much
harder for either to occur.
Weaknesses:
Split: The Sword only works if all three pieces are assembled
together otherwise it isn’t really a threat and given that the
pieces could be anywhere in the multiverse, the chances of such
an event occuring are incredibly low especially with only one
known source about its’ existence.
Planes: If one of the pieces is on another plane of existence,
the other two pieces' abilities are negated until all three
pieces are on the same plane again
