It was another day for Kindron at his school, Hillview Academy.
The cursed children in the school were running around playing,
while the teachers were watching over the kids.
Kindron and Acillia were walking along the corridor.
It had been some time since Kindron had started the school after
he had gotten his power back and the dark spirit removed by
God's visit to him. Kindron had been expanding the school, using
his alchemy in conjunction with materials he bought to build the
school, and was able to build new buildings fairly easily (or
rather, extensions to the buildings).
Kindron smiled as he walked to his office, happy to see the
children enjoying their time at his school. Acillia silently
walks beside Kindron, as they go back to his office. Though
Kindron was silent, Acillia could tell Kindron was just enjoying
the moment, and didn't want to interrupt his thoughts.
However, once inside his office, Kindron starts to feel pain in
his chest, and falls to his knees as he clutches his chest.
Kindron: Dammit! He says in pain.
Seeing Kindron fall to his knees, Acillia rushes over to him.
Acillia: Kin! What happened!
Kindron: The pain... I've been having pain lately. But
something's wrong... He says as he tries to get his pain under
control, but cannot.
Acillia tries to purify Kindron, but the purification does
nothing to Kindron. Acillia: What's going on? It's not working!
She says as she notices her purification had no effect.
Kindron: It's not... the dark spirit... He says as his pain
starts to get worse. Darn it! I can't get it under control this
time! The pain doesn't usually last this long! He says, gritting
his teeth.
Acillia: It has to be! I can feel your darkness energy rising!
She says, analyzing his presence.
From not far away, Clair and Sariel appear.
Clair: It's not evil darkness, Acillia. She says as she walks
over.
Acillia: What? She says, confused as she looks over to Sariel
and Clair.
Kindron: Don't tell me... Is this how I die? He says jokingly,
and weakly.
Sariel: Don't be so dramatic. You're not dying. She say as she
goes over to Kindron.
Acillia: So, if it's not a dark spirit, what's happening to
him?! She says to Clair and Sariel, somewhat angrier than she
meant to sound.
Sariel: Kindron's grown in power over the years. And with the
angel tablet, he's absorbed enough energy from the tablet that
his own werepyre power fused with the energy he's absorbed is
overpowering the Heaven's Gate piece in his soul. She says as
she leans down to Kindron.
Clair: Yes... I needed mother's help for this. She's better at
this than I am. She says as she goes and stands next to Acillia.
Acillia: I don't understand... She says, tilting her head after
hearing Sariel's explanation.
Sariel: You'll get it in a minute. She says as she reaches into
Kindron's chest, as her hand seems to phase into Kindron's
chest.
Even though Kindron wasn't physically hurt by Sariel, Sariel's
hand seems to cause Kindron enough pain that he screams in pain.
Acillia: Stop! You're hurting him! She says as she tries to
attack Sariel to get her away from Kindron.
However, Clair uses her blue lantern energy to hold Acillia
back, grabbing her wrists and pulling her back using blue
lantern energy.
Clair: It will hurt, but Kindron is about to become far stronger
than you realize once mother is done. She says to Acillia.
After a few moments, Sariel pulls out the Heaven's Gate piece
that was fused to Kindron's soul.
Kindron stops screaming once Sariel pulls out the Heaven's Gate
piece, and his hair turns back to being black, with his eyes
remaining purple.
Kindron: What... What did you do?
Sariel stands up and looks back to Kindron as she takes a few
steps away so Kindron could get up. Sariel: Your darkness energy
was overpowering your Heaven's Gate piece. With it fused to your
soul, your darkness was literally choking your soul. But now,
you should be back to normal.
Kindron: Normal? He says as he stands up. He forms darkness in
his hands, realizing that his power had returned to his normal
self before he was purified. However, the main difference is
that he was no longer a cursed type werepyre, and was instead a
holy type werepyre. He wasn't pure holy power anymore, but
rather, his energy was now back to being part dark and part holy
as it was before he was purified.
Kindron also noticed that his darkness was not cursed, but his
darkness was in fact holy darkness. His power of light was gone,
but his darkness power had returned in it's place. Other than
the nature change, much of his power was the same.
Clair releases her restraints on Acillia, and dispels her
energy. Clair: He's fine now.
Kindron: I don't understand how this works. I'm still holy, but
I'm darkness type again?
Clair: Yes. That's right. She says to Kindron. Your power has
grown enough that the Heaven's Gate piece in your soul was
holding you back. Your werepyre ability to absorb energy using
one of the werepyre skills was absorbing the energy given off by
the tablet. I'm guessing that's why grandfather (God) chose you
as the guardian of the angel tablet.
Acillia: No one is supposed to know about that. She says to
Clair and Sariel.
Sariel: Don't worry... We won't tell anyone. The angel tablet
and demon tablet must remain away from prying eyes. We can
easily explain Kindron's increase in holy power as him absorbing
energy from the Heaven's Gate piece.
Kindron: So, now I'm more like my old self. He says as he starts
testing some of his darkness power like creating bats made of
holy darkness. Man this is weird. It's one little change, but I
feel completely different. I got so used to the light power, I
forgot how to use darkness energy. He says as he was trying to
experiment with the holy darkness.
Acillia: I don't understand. I never heard of Heaven's Gate or
Hell's Gate pieces causing pain to people before. She says to
Clair and Sariel.
Sariel: Normally it doesn't... But Kindron's power has increased
more than that of normal beings. The angel tablet seems to have
made him almost as strong as an archangel or demon prince.
Because his power grew so much stronger, it choked out the power
he gained from the Heaven's Gate piece. She says as she tosses
the Heaven's Gate piece into the air and catches it, almost like
she was tossing a coin into the air. Now I can put this back
where it belongs.
Acillia looks to Clair and Sariel. Acillia: So... What happens
now?
Sariel: That's up to him. Kindron's power has changed, and now
he will be even stronger than he was before. But his destiny is
still his own.
Kindron looks at his hands, and then over to Sariel. Kindron:
How did I become strong enough to overpower the Heaven's Gate
piece? There's no way I could have gathered that much energy.
I've only had the tablet for what... a year or two?
Sariel: The angel tablet's energy that is used to power up its
guardians is much stronger than normal angels. And your body
seems to have adapted to the level of energy the tablet
produces. By adapting to the energy, your body is producing more
energy, as well as stronger energy. A truly rare talent... Just
like your brother. She explains, with her thoughts getting away
from her towards the end.
Acillia: What do you mean?
Kindron: Hei's ability to grow stronger by absorbing holy and
demonic energy. He had the ability to convert holy and demonic
energy thanks to Alice, but his ability to absorb energy and
grow stronger is quite remarkable. I assume that Father Hei has
that same ability.
Sariel: Indeed. Your ability is different, but equally
remarkable. She says.
Clair: Well... Kindron is back to normal. So things should be
fine.
Sariel takes out a ring, and throws it to Kindron, who catches
it and looks at it curiously.
Sariel: You're going to need that soon. If you keep adapting to
more energy from the tablet, then you're going to have to
restrain your energy.
Acillia: I guess this means that Lantern powers he was supposed
to get won't be coming?
Clair shrugs. Clair: He may still get the purple lantern powers
of compassion. And you may still get the indigo lantern power of
love. I don't know. But that's up to the powers that be. She
says to Kindron and Acillia.
Sariel: I'm sure they'll pass those powers to you. After all,
your brother is a red lantern, so I figure that one of the other
lanterns will recruit you to counter him. She says to Kindron.
Well... We've stayed long enough. It's time for me to go. She
says as she holds the Heaven's Gate piece and walks to the door.
Clair: Right. I'll talk to you later, Kindron, and you too
Acillia. I need to go with mother to get the Heaven's Gate piece
back to the gate it belongs to. She says as she goes to the door
with Sariel. The two go through the door and vanish a burst of
light.
It takes a moment before Kindron and Acillia say anything, as
they both stare at each other for a moment, seeming to process
everything Clair and Sariel said. Kindron puts the ring Sariel
gave him on his finger, restraining his power. Currently, under
restraint, it was still stronger than it was with the Heaven's
Gate piece, but not as strong as the energy he put out after his
power stabilized without the Heaven's Gate piece.
Acillia: I do like the black hair and purple eyes... It works on
you. She says with a smile.
Kindron chuckles to himself. Kindron: You think so? Sometimes I
miss my old red eyes. He says jokingly.
Acillia: I don't. They made you look kind of evil at times. She
says sarcastically.
Kindron chuckles again. Kindron: Yeah, but they were just me,
you know? He then looks at his clothes. I'm also gonna need a
new outfit.
Acillia: What's wrong with the one you're wearing? She asks
curiously.
Kindron: I dunno... It's kind of a tradition that when I go
through a physical change, I change my look a little bit.
Plus... This is a good opportunity to get some new material to
make some new combat gear.
Acillia tilts her head in confusion at first, but then goes and
hugs Kindron. Acillia: Well, I'm just glad you're okay.
Kindron hugs Acillia back. Kindron: Yeah, I'm okay. Don't worry.
Acillia then lets Kindron go. Acillia: I can't wait to see how
Zack and Lie Ren react to this. Zack especially, since he always
made fun of your pretty-boy look. She says jokingly.
Kindron: Oh, that will be fun. He says jokingly as he thinks
about how Zack would react to his new form.
Later.
Kindron had gotten materials for a new outfit, just as he had
said he would. He takes the materials to his office with Acillia
waiting nearby. Once in the office, he uses his alchemy on the
materials, and creates his new outfit from the materials he
bought. The fabric was light and flexible, but still strong
thanks to the carbon threads Kindron managed to make the outfit
just as he designed it. The outfit was black and purple, which
was meant to match his eyes and hair color. Kindron also had a
tie to wear with his new outfit, designed to give him a
professional look.
After making the outfit with his alchemy and getting changed, he
comes out in his new outfit.
Acillia looks over at Kindron. Acillia: Okay... That is a decent
look. Even if the jacket reminds me too much of Hei. She says as
she looks at Kindron's outfit.
Kindron: Yeah... I thought it was a good idea. Hei may be evil
now, but I did always like his jacket. Thought I'd try it with
this outfit.
Acillia: Well, it does seem to work for you. She says with a
smile. It's going to take a while to get used to you looking
so... different. She says sarcastically.
Kindron: You think you're going to have a hard time? Imagine how
I feel. He says jokingly.
It seemed that Kindron had changed once again in form, but has
grown stronger from the experience. No one knows what the future
holds for him and Acillia, but they will continue their mission
to help others as long as they can.
End
