Akiba: I see. I can't say I know much about the Jokers in all
honesty... Only what I've been told by people like Kindron and
Jason who have dealt with them before.

Lloyd: Then don't tell them I said that then. Last thing I need

Akiba: Honestly. It wouldn't surprise me if he didn't want to
put a bullet in your rear. He has a very personal grudge against
Joker.

Lloyd: I know, I know...
Lloyd mumble a bit as he sense Phoebe coming through the door.
Phoebe is wearing her normal work attire though despite her
professional look, Phoebe have bags under her eyes which makes
sense due to everything going on as of lately and has been very
stressed to the point that she has been having trouble eating or
sleeping for God knows how long. If it weren't for those like
Akiba, she would fall apart.
Phoebe: Hello, everyone. Sorry I'm late. Got caught up in some
things.
Lloyd: Turns to Phoebe: Damn, you look like the 9th circle of
hell. At least you crawled out of your cave.
Phoebe: sarcastically: Nice to see you too, d*ck head.
Lloyd only smirk and snicker lightly. Although their
relationship is now weary, he's actually happy to see his older
sister again. And him teasing her is one the best ways to show
it.

Akiba: You should have just given the paperwork to Sagara
(Sosuke). That's what I did. He says jokingly.
Cruger: Well... Not everyone is as lazy as you are, Akiba. He
says sarcastically to Akiba. He then turns back to Phoebe. I
tried to finish as much of the paperwork as I could before
coming here.

Lloyd: I mean, Phoebe is a stubborn woman. Bad to the point that
it rivals you, Uncle.
Phoebe just sigh lightly before walking over to the group and
sitting next to Lloyd.
Lloyd: What, no hug? He ask sarcastically
Phoebe just gives Lloyd a side eye glare that basically says
that she would slap him into the void if it weren't for them
being in Shin's bar. Lloyd shrugs it off and leans forward with
his arms folded onto the table.
Lloyd: Okay, the head cop is here. So what's the game plan?
Because so far, it's to the point that we can't even trust our
own f*cking family and that the "good guys", whatever's left of
them who has their sanity hanging by a thread, is backed to a
wall and is on the losing side. Not to mention that the bastard
who's responsible for this (Count Strahd) is in hiding like the
coward he is and gets a slap on the wrist!

Akiba: For the moment, Stradh is not an issue. Since he turned
into a holy vampire, Zack and Lie Ren have been working on
trying to turn Ravenloft around. From how it was explained to
me, Ravenloft will likely be our ally. They have an advantage in
that their castle is one of the only places in our world that
has natural sunlight, which our world desperately needs.
Dr. Oliver: I have been working on projects that were left
behind by Dr. Aurora and Dr. Xeno. If I do finish them, then
they may help us in the future. I've also got a few personal
projects I've been working on.

Phoebe: ...It's a start.
Lloyd: Still feels like a lazy and cheap way for him to get out
of trouble. Just slap Christianity on him and he'll turn good
immediately. That'll solve everything. Lloyd growls
sarcastically, almost out of pure disgust.
Phoebe: growls Lloyd!
Lloyd: You're okay with this bullshit?!
Phoebe: Does it look like I have a choice?! Uncle Akiba is
right, we need that castle. Plus, the information from the late
doctors can actually help us find a sliver of hope in fixing
this chaos.
Lloyd just silently roll his eyes and look away which made
Phoebe do the same. Although she seem confident, recent events
and problems piling on old ones has left her pessimistic. Not to
mention that she agrees with Lloyd about Strahd. She herself can
never forgive him and the city has asked for his arrest numerous
times. Everything that has happened has left people losing faith
in Civil Security to the point that she can barely trust anyone,
not even her own family.

Cruger: Look. We're not saying we completely let him off the
hook. But you saw how anger over what Stradh did drove Hei to
insanity. It turned him into a monster. And now he's working
with an evil dimension and doesn't care who he hurts in the
process of doing all the evil things he's doing now. We cannot
let ourselves fall to that level, or we become just like him. If
we have to become like him to win, then what's the point of
winning at all?
Akiba: From what I understand about the holy vampire
transformation that Father Hei put him through, he has to be
100% ready to change and any doubt would have had the process
destroy him. So for now, that should be enough. There probably
will come a time when we will be able to make him face down what
he's done. But right now, we have much bigger things to worry
about than him. Stradh isn't a threat anymore, and right now, we
need to focus on the actual people who are trying to rip our
world to pieces.
