RP: New And Old Avatars of the Parliaments

It had been another day in Portsmouth, England with many people
living in fear with the constant dark spirit attacks. Though
it's not just them as Salem witches were starting to get bold as
well. And due to many people like the vampire ninja and werewolf
alchemists showing up, there are other forces acting like a
counter to stop the chaos. Tonight was no different. By the
pier, Mari McCabe, also known as Vixen, was helping civilians
evacuate the area. When they were gone and safe, she was alone
to face monsters that were feasting on humans. But they aren't
monsters like vampires and werewolves. These were far older and
terrifyingly dangerous beasts from the Void. Vixen was able to
defeat most of them but the last creature gave her a hard time.
The creature is a large insectoid monster with a blue carapace
and many brown, sharp legs. It is centaur-like, with a strange
torso perpendicular to its long and segmented body, as well as
two large humanoid arms extending from it. Two long prehensile
antenna-like tendrils flick about as, potentially, some method
of sensory detection from the top of the torso - since the
creature lacks obvious eyes, it would seem that these antennae
are its main sense that it uses to detect its surrounds. The
torso is covered in thick carapace plates that enshrine an
enormous leech-like mouth lined with rows upon rows of
razor-sharp teeth that it brings out to consume its prey.
Although Vixen is a great fighter, she was overwhelmed and
gravely injured by having her ribs cracked and her organs
ruptured. Before the centipede can attack again, it was stopped
by a wave of flames and a giant mana arrow. Vixen looks at it in
shock as the monster shriek in pain. In front of her appears two
males and a female, all three of them young. They turn to Vixen
and head over towards her. One of them name Hayden starts to
heal her wounds with his mana.
Hayden: It's alright, ma'am. We're here to help.
Vixen: Thanks but, who are you kids?
Hayden: Oh! How rude of us! My name is Hayden. The red head is
Axel and the one with the scissor blade is Ryuko.
Axel: Once you're healed up, we'll take on this freak together.
Hayden: Strange though, I thought the alchemists or ninja would
appear here.
Ryuko: Screw them! Those jackasses will only get in the way!
Their damn pride will only get innocent people and us killed!
Besides, we're more than enough to beat this damn thing. And we
saw how she defeated those things earlier. Together, we'll send
that thing wherever it came from!
Vixen: Heh. I like you kids. Remind me of a few from the White
Council. starts to stand back up once Hayden heals her wounds.
The name's Vixen. Now let's play exterminator.
The group starts attacking in unison. The centipede is a
formidable opponent who is tougher than it seems. It even
resorts to burrowing underground and ambushing them, something
that got Vixen earlier. The team barely survived.
Ryuko: Crafty bastard!
Senketsu: We need a plan, fast!
During the commotion, one of the centipede's appendages attacked
Axel and stabbed him in the shoulder. He sliced the appendage
off with one of his chakram but is left vulnerable. As Vixen
covers for Axel and the creature burrows underground again,
Hayden hears whispers, as if it's telling him where the creature
is heading. He then jump to the left where the creature popped
up, missing the boy as he punch the creature's hide, making it
fall to the side before burrowing back underground.
Vixen: Holy shit, kid!
Hayden: I know a way to beat that thing! But I need help!
Ryuko: We got ya, Hayden!
Hayden: I can tell when it'll appear again. When it does, both
Vixen and I will distract it while you and Axel deal the
finishing blow. Aim at the antenna and the mouth.
As he say this, the centipede tries to attack Hayden again from
behind but thanks to the whispers from the ground, Hayden evaded
the attack and strikes again using his mana powers infused with
his fist to damage it while Vixen follows up with using the
strength of a gorilla. Once damage, Axel, who has fully healed,
use hellfire to burn the creature's appendages and mouth.
Lastly, Ryuko and her spirit demon, Senketsu, work together to
deliver the final blow. Ryuko's sword change into a longer sword
as she charge forward.
Ryuko: Sayonara, dipshit! Tell the void creatures I said to kiss
my ass!!
With a final blow, Ryuko decapitated the creature along with
destroying it's spirit. She then destroy the body by using a
cero technique from the ground (an ability she copied from a
hollow long ago). Vixen sigh in relief as the kids cheer
victoriously.
Vixen: Nice job, kids. Thanks for the help.
Axel: Heh, no problem. You did awesome as well. And let's not
forget the real MVP here, Hayden!
Hayden couldn't help but chuckle a bit but stopped when he heard
whispers. He walk over to one of the giant burrowed holes and
listen to the whispers. Confused, his friends and Vixen walk up
to him.
Axel: Uh, Hay? You doing okay?
Hayden: This is going to sound strange but I heard whispers from
the ground earlier. They helped me figure out where the monster
was going to pop up.
Axel: Weird... but cool.
Vixen: ...I see what it is. You were chosen by the Melt, kid.
Ryuko: Wait, what?!
Axel: No way!
Hayden: Huh? I don't understand. I don't have any earth powers.
Axel: Doesn't matter, bud. You could be either be a ordinary
human or a powerful demon, if the Parliaments chose you, it's
for a solid reason.
Vixen: Your friend is right, Hayden. I was chosen by the Red,
which is basically animal like powers like what you saw earlier
from me.
Hayden: This... is a LOT to take in.

Kindron jumps down from a nearby building, his wings out as he
glides down. As he lands not far from the group, he looks
around, sensing the remains of the battle. Kindron: I guess I'm
a little late. As he notices Vixen, he stops in his tracks as
though he'd seen a ghost when he notices the totem around her
neck. Is that... He says to himself, almost stunned to see the
totem again.

Vixen notice Kindron's reaction to the totem and takes a step
back in self defense. She grips the totem, ready to attack if
necessary. The kids notice and gets into a defensive stance as
well.
Ryuko: Alright, creep. Who the hell are you?
If Kindron pays attention, Ryuko is a dhampir who seem to be a
Fullbringer but also a vampire ninja, Axel is a Fox/Hazeldine
born werepire and Hayden is a human with mana abilities but has
been chosen by the Melt recently. Vixen is of course, a
ordinary human chosen by the Red.

Kindron: I was about to ask you the same question... More
politely though. He says the last part sarcastically. I came to
deal with the dark spirit that reports showed appeared near
here. But it seems like I got here too late to help. He says. He
seems to notice Mari's connection to the Red, and Hayden's
connection to the Melt thanks to his connection to the Bright
and the Metal (which he had not chosen to be anyone's avatars,
so the two forces were both still accessible to him for the
moment). His slight connection to the Bright and the Metal would
also likely be sensed by the group, specifically Mari and
Hayden.
Of course, Kindron's attention was more focused as he kept
looking over at the totem, but afraid to ask about it without
sounding rude.

Kindron: An old friend of mine used to wear the Anansi totem
long ago. I couldn't tell if that is the same totem, or one that
looks just like it.

knowing that Mari would be his friend's granddaughter.

Vixen: eyes widen slightly Amaya was my grandmother. But my
tribe was attacked by a warlord long ago. I was a baby during
that time. My mother risked her life to protect me.

Kindron: Wait... That's not possible... I was told Amaya's
family was all killed. I was under the impression no one
survived. He says, stopping in surprise. Of course, with so few
people left to tell the story of what happened, it's obvious
that Kindron hadn't really learned too much about what had
actually happened, only knowing that someone murdered Amaya's
village.
