Dr. Oliver: I can't say for sure, but these forces have specific
criteria. If they choose you, then it means you met their
criteria for choosing avatars. I also think them choosing both
of you around the same time may indicate the forces are trying
to remain balanced, so it's possible that the forces of the
Still Force and Sage Force also chose avatars as well.

Miriana: The force probably realized how badass we both are.
Either that or to balance some things out due to some very
dangerous people having equally dangerous power over the past
months.

Dr. Oliver: It's possible.
Raven: I know this world's version of my Uncle Kindron is being
scouted by the Parliament forces of the Bright and the Metal...
And apparently Dufort was being scouted by them as well. It
actually sounds like they're gearing up for something.
(I honestly thought about making Dufort an avatar of the Sage
Force, but realized it won't work because Dufort is too full of
anger and hatred to be able to use the positive forces)

Miriana: It's like they're preparing for some kind of upcoming
war. The Parliament forces I understand due to agents of the
Black roaming around. But I'm unsure why these four specific
forces would also do this.

Dr. Oliver thinks for a moment. Dr. Oliver: Those forces also
have negative forces. So it could be in response to the negative
versions of the forces. Either that or it could be in response
to Nightshade. We have gotten reports that Nightshade is
building a new group, one we have no information on. It's
possible that the forces know what's going on and are choosing
people to help fight them.
Raven: Hold on... There's negative versions of these forces?
Dr. Oliver: Yes. The positive forces use positive emotions to
fuel their power, but the negative forces uses negative emotions
like anger, hatred, and such to fuel their power. At least...
That's how it works for the Speed force and the Negative Speed
force. While I'm pretty sure the other forces work the same way,
I could be wrong. But each set of forces has a positive and
negative force.
(Yeah, and he's OP enough as it is. If I make him even stronger,
guy might rival Kendrix)

power despite my... nature.

(I'm sure Dufort could teach Kendrix a lot about psychic power.
Though Kendrix would annoy the hell out of Dufort with his bad
humor.)
Dr. Oliver: That's because I'm pretty sure you two were
empowered by the positive forces. They require positive emotions
to fuel their power. You can't use the negative forces unless
you draw on negative emotions to power your forces abilities.
But that's a dangerous thing because I've been told the negative
forces twist the minds of those that use their forces until
anger and hatred become their whole lives. So you need to focus
on using positive emotions.

Miriana: Kind of an easier said than done deal, doctor.
Miriana said bitterly. Although not as bad as Hei Darkfire or
Dufort Darkfire, Miriana does have a bit of buried anger due to
the crap she went through all of her life. Though her
befriending Blademaster Raven and Wolfwing did turn her life
around along with befriending a few more people like Milos and
the Crow Mercenaries. Maybe that's because the Strength Force
chose her due to it seeing the good in her despite her loner
attitude.

Raven: Wait... He turns to Miriana. Maybe that's why you can't
turn back to normal. If your negative emotions are causing
problems, that might be why you can't control the power. That
may be why I haven't suffered any downsides yet, because I don't
really use negative emotions. He says to Miriana.
Dr. Oliver: It is definitely possible. He says as he looks over
to Miriana. I think we should scan both of you, just to be safe.
I can get Dufort here to help out. He might also be able to help
analyze what's going on.
