       Prologue Theme: Route Kensakuchuu (

Hello there. My name's Kindron Darkfire. I'm the son of Hades,
and I'm dead. That's right... It's one of those stories.
For those that don't know, I was once known as the Dark
Swordsman, and one of the people who protected our world
alongside my cousin, Vendetta Zuille. Vendetta and I protected
our world for many years, and as far as I know, she's still
       alive and well.
I spent some time in the afterlife, but then something bizarre
happened... Another version of Vendetta and Vinette showed up.
It was weird seeing such younger versions of Vendetta and
Vinette, but apparently they were from another timeline. Almost
reminded me of that other Kindron and Hei that Vendetta and I
met once. Anyway... Another version of me showed up, and Aizen
decided to be a d*ck, so I was on standby to go and fight that
       other version of me.
Thankfully, it got taken care of with help from the other
timeline Vendetta and Vinette (Strangely there were two Vinettes
which I didn't really understand that at the time). I'll be
honest, I was impressed with them though. The amount of raw
power that they had to fight in that other me was something that
was scaring even me at the time. They were young, but they had a
lot of potential. I suspect the hardship they're facing now will
make them even stronger until one day they even surpass me.
After all, my Vendetta didn't become a goddess of spirits and
       storms in one day.
Anyway, got sidetracked. Before that fight, Aizen revealed to
the other timeline Vendetta that he had used memories storied by
his Hogyoku gem accessed Vendetta's memories? Yeah... I don't
know enough about the Hogyoku or that other Vendetta to know
       understand what the heck happened.
However, with Lord Death's reincarnation plan for me revealed,
Lord Death had to redo his entire plan for me. He couldn't just
go with the old plan since the idea was to reincarnate my power
somewhere where people wouldn't really know anything about it.
So, instead, my spirit was split into pieces. Not my soul, my
essence (If my soul got cut to pieces, I wouldn't be here to
tell you this story today). This particular essence of me
talking to you is my darkness aura and power over death. There
are a few versions of me, such as my Sharingan was taken by one
incarnation, and another took my raw elemental energy and
darkness power. My aura was divided into pieces and given a
       little to each incarnation.
Once we were all set, Lord Death cast us all off to get
reincarnated. However, this time, he didn't use his devil gene
idea. Instead, he basically sent us all to different worlds.
Thankfully, Lord Death let me research Isekai animes before I
left... Because essentially that's the story today. I died and
       got isekai'd into another world.
But... I am pretty sure Lord Death played a huge prank on me
       when he reincarnated me.
So, here's the story. I was reincarnated as a human but still
had my memories and the power from the essence I was created
from. From my birth, I exerted raw dark aura and demonic power,
which scared a LOT of people over the years. However, this world
also has two major components. The first is that everyone in
this world uses magic... Like... Everyone. And well, with magic
amplification, it amplified all of my abilities. Then, on top of
that, everyone is granted a divine blessing from the deities of
the world. It seems to be a Christian world, but with some
lesser gods working for THE big God to help manage things. So,
this divine blessing amplifies one's natural gifts, and those
gifts get stronger the more the person trains their gifts. The
divine blessing grants a title and enhanced power based on the
title. For example, my wife in this world (Yeah, I got married)
has the title of Holy Saint, the highest level divine blessing
in this world. My wife basically is the highest level of holy
before you get to the angels (which is funny because my wife
       herself is part angel).
Care to guess what my divine blessing is?
       Here it is: Demon King.
Already that's a HUGE problem, because I have a title only
bestowed to people destined to be stronger than the demon lords
and almost always people who will eventually get to point where
they just seek to destroy the world. It's the highest rank one
can get before one reaches Demon God like those like Lucifer,
Hades, or Anubis did. So, already I have a problem because my
divine blessing basically named me the most evil being in this
world, save one other person who has the demon king blessing (I
only know the other demon king's name is Demon Dragon Lord
       Valdrant, and he's currently asleep).
The next problem is that this blessing amplifies my demonic
abilities, including my Hades death abilities and my darkness
aura. And the more I use those abilities, the stronger I become.
I wanted to be weaker, and Lord Death made me weaker. But this
blessing started amplifying my weaker abilities.
And here is yet another problem... I gained two new abilities
with my blessing. Two skills that really stand out. The first is
called Dark Sage. Basically, I am able to copy any technique or
skill I see, granted I can turn it into a dark, death-based or
demonic power. I'm still testing the limits of the powers it can
copy, but it does seem able to copy neutral abilities pretty
easily. But copying holy or other positive abilities, I can turn
those into dark, demonic or death-based powers. So for example,
my wife's holy magic? I copied all her holy magic techniques as
dark magic skills. I even copied the Mad Black Dragon's
abilities and became even stronger (But that was an accident, as
I didn't want to be stronger at the time). I've gained a large
number of abilities with this skill, and it has proven to be a
very useful skill. However, I try to suppress it because I don't
want to copy everyone's abilities. I prefer to let people have
their unique abilities without needing to copy them. I'm strong
enough as it is, and I don't like copying skills to become even
stronger. There are a few exceptions, but I usually get the
permission of the person before I learn their abilities.
The second new ability I gained seems to have come in place of
my Sharingan. Instead of my Mangekyo Sharingan, I basically
gained a new eye. It's called the Majin Eye. Or Devil Eye for
those who don't know what majin means. Unlike my Sharingan, I
can actually turn this on and off, so I don't need an eyepatch
like I did with my Sharingan. When I activate it, my eye turns
black, while my pupil glows red. This eye has a few abilities.
The first is that I can see the sins of others. So if someone is
wrathful, or full of intent to do harm, I can see that through
my Majin Eye. I can see people's intentions as auras. People
with good intentions or people who live lives with little to no
sin shine brightly (For example, my wife shines so bright her
aura blinds the heck out of my eye). Everyone has sin, but for
the most part, those with pure hearts tend to show very little
blackness to their aura. Those who lie, cheat, steal, kill, and
all that other stuff all the time, though, show up with mostly
pure black auras, and I can see their particular sins manifested
in their aura. It's a great way to see if someone's trustworthy,
because I can tell if they're liars by their aura. However, I
don't too often use this, because of the side effect of this
power. When I use it, the pressure it exerts on people's
negative emotions (Specifically fear), can drive people into
fearful frenzies. Even on strong people, the fear that comes
with seeing my Majin Eye tends to frighten people enough that
I've had people try to kill me upon seeing my Majin Eye.
The last ability of my Majin Eye, is that I can command the
essence of those that I've killed. If I kill someone with my
Majin Eye active, their essence is absorbed into my eye, and a
few things can happen. The first, is that their essence through
death becomes a part of me and makes me stronger. Basically,
imagine it almost like how soul eaters eat souls to amplify
their power, but in my case, I absorb a little of their essence
upon killing them (It doesn't take their soul thankfully). My
eye is basically feeding on the death of others to become
stronger. In some rare cases, it even gives me new abilities,
and some get converted by my dark sage abilities. The other
power is that the essence also becomes a specter (or ghost) that
I can call on in battle. Essentially, it's like turning
someone's essence into a vampire familiar.
Now for the biggest problem... Between the magic amplification,
divine blessing, and my two new skills, these amplifications and
skills royally amped me up to the point where now I'm even
STRONGER than I was in my old life. The exact opposite of what I
       wanted.
I asked Lord Death about it... And he knew exactly what was
going to happen even if he denies it (Yeah, I hear it in his
chuckles when he talks about it). I actually see him a lot. My
wife and I invite him over for dinner now and then when he's in
the area. Sometimes his kids, Azrael and Samael show up too and
we just sorta hang out. Lord Death loves my wife's cooking, and
mine (Yeah, I cook as a hobby, though my wife and I have
different ways of cooking so we specialize in different kinds of
cooking). And in return, Lord Death often tells me a bit about
how my other selves are doing in other worlds. Some of them are
doing good, some are not doing as good, and one got named Black
Knight of Calamity and got basically kicked out of society. That
last one... I feel bad for him. I was always curious how a
version of me could turn as evil as that dark spirit version of
me, but hearing the last one's story and all the crap he's gone
through, I kind of understand now. He's even got his world's
hero trying to kill him. He's still trying to use his power to
help people, but very few people ever actually accept him. Maybe
he'll tell you his story sometime, but that will be a story for
       another day.
Anyway, I wasn't sure what to do with myself in this life. From
a young age, I got ostracized for my divine blessing and raw
power. At age 16, I defeated the Mad Black Dragon, Alteroth, who
was the strongest being in this world save God himself.
And then my father disowned me. Said I was the "Demon King" and
chose to never associate with me. It sucks. My family were good
people and my dad was a strong warrior in his own right... But
if you're worried, it wasn't because he hated me or anything. He
just couldn't handle the pressure he was under, and I even told
him it was okay if he disowned me. I wanted him to keep his
status in the kingdom we were living in at the time (He was a
high ranking commander of the military). My mom was upset, but
she understood it was my choice. I didn't want them to suffer
for me. Plus, this way I didn't have to tell them I wasn't
really their kid anyway. They don't know I'm a reincarnation. To
them, I was just a child born to them that was destined to
become an evil monster, and was developing his powers when he
was an infant (Yeah, I pretty much had my powers immediately).
When I was disowned, that was when I took my original name,
Kindron Darkfire, since I couldn't retake the birth name I had
been given. People thought it was an alias, so I let them
believe that. There was no Kindron Darkfire or Darkfire clan in
this world, so as far as anyone else is aware, I'm the Kindron
Darkfire of this world. This way, anyone coming to this world
will think that I'm from this world. Actually, my father did
exist in this world as a previous demon king (But my mother
didn't exist here), so I just tell people I'm his reincarnation
which no one has been able to disprove. And Lord Death has
helped me sell the bit by saying Demon King Hades was
reincarnated and that the demon king Hades wasn't in the Hall of
Souls anymore (he put Hades soul in another universe's Hall of
Souls that didn't have a Hades to really sell the bit). So,
basically, Lord Death has helped me to keep my true identity
       secret.
I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. Being a demon
king doesn't give me many options. So I trained hard to maximize
my power (Sure I was too strong, but honestly, I didn't know
what to do with myself if I didn't train). I trained my magic,
learning dark magic and demon magic, as well as learning death
magic. I even learned to create Darkfire elements using
       elemental magic.
However, I figured out what I wanted to do at some point, and I
was able to find a job. The kingdom fighting the demon lords who
were trying to take over human territory hired me. The kingdom
was called the Enochian Kingdom, on the count of the fact they
believe angels set up the kingdom. After saving the kingdom a
few times, I got noticed by the King, who respected my power and
sought to make me part of his military (which I sort of denied
because I didn't want to be a military general).
When I first came to the Enochian Kingdom, I was a simple bounty
hunter. I went after criminals and brought them in. However,
over time, I eventually figured out what I wanted to do, and
with some training and permission of the king. I became a magic
teacher at Holy Academy. One thing you will learn about the
kingdom I live in is that they are big on the whole holy thing,
I mean they even call the church a big fancy name: Church of
Holy Light. Anyway, I became a magic teacher and started
training students who would go on to become official mages in
the kingdoms military. And I served as a sort of assistant to
king of the land who would serve as a general of the military in
times of attack. And the Church even officially accepted me as
one of their most powerful allies.
In this world there are a group of demon lords. Some make war
against humans, others live in solitude. And others... sleep.
Whether it's because they're sealed away, or they are just so
bored, they go into hibernation and only awake if something
interests them. Currently, the biggest problem for humans is the
one demon lord in particular that is out to enslave humanity.
His name is Azalur, the Lord of Knights. He's a dark knight with
authority over almost any kind of knight ability, and can use
different knight abilities despite being a dark knight. For
example, he has been known to utilize demon knight abilities,
dragon knight abilities, and can even wield holy knight
abilities. He's one of the main demon lords humanity is trying
to fend off. I help the kingdoms out, and protect them when
demons attack. Sometimes my wife helps me fight them off, but
most of the time I fight alone, simply because I think sending
two of the most powerful beings in our world into almost any
situation is a bit of overkill. Plus, I'm always looking for new
strong enemies. But so far, no one has been able to match me.
Alteroth came close, but even he wasn't a threat to me.
Supposedly, there's stronger demon lords living in isolation, or
some waiting for Azalur to die so they can invade in his place.
Anyway, I've been working there for years now, and even met my
wife, Acillia Lockheart, in this kingdom during my time working
here. She is a high ranking member of the Church, and the
highest level of hero of the Enochian Kingdom. I even have a
small shop I own, Darkfire Smithing and General Store (I'm not
the best at naming stuff). From my old life, I had a number of
skills like creating unique items through things like tailoring
with supernatural power (letting me create powered clothing),
forging weapons as a master blacksmith (which I learned in my
world in my travels), and now I can enchant items with power
using magic. We have a mix of darkness and holy items, where I
mix my power into some items, and I let Acillia put her angelic
power into some items for holy items. People really love our
holy swords and darkness protection clothing (People in this
world prefer stronger clothing than wearing armor everywhere),
enough that I had to recreate my holy oil quench tank I used to
use for making holy swords back in my world. So when I'm now
working as a teacher, I help Acillia run the shop since she
looks after it when I'm not there. I've even made a number of
       friends during my work.
I love my job as a teacher. Not only do I get to teach the new
generation and help them become stronger as their magic teacher,
but I also often learn as much as I teach. When students come in
with unique skills, or magic techniques I don't know, I almost
always learn something. I've copied a lot of techniques used by
others, as well as training my demonic power to the best of my
ability. Just because I'm stronger than anyone else, doesn't
       mean I'm gonna stop training.
Though I am definitely TOO strong. As strong as I am with all
the OP skills I have, sometimes I think I might as well declare
       myself a super villain...
So. Anyway. That's where I'm at now. So here's my story for
       today...

It was another day in the classroom. I was teaching the class
about elemental magic, and teaching them how elementals work. I
had them all learning some chemistry and physics in order to
understand some of the advanced ways elements can be used.
Now, not every student has affinities for multiple elements, so
the question I may get is why teach all the students every
element and how it works? Well... It's mostly so that students
can learn how other elements interact so that they can combat
other elemental powers effectively. For example, if I don't
teach a fire magic user how to water and ice work, they won't
       know how to counter them.
Things had been going well. The current lesson was on light. I
was showing them how photovoltaic conversion of light into
electricity worked... And yes, that's a legit thing to those who
haven't taken any chemistry classes. I actually helped a few
light magic students develop photovoltaic spells that convert
light into a light-based lightning. It has to do with
supernatural magical manipulation of photons and charging the
photons using supernatural energy. Not quite how it works in
actual chemistry, but we put a spin on the power.
While I was working helping the students out in the training
area by allowing them to attack some dummies infused with magic
resistance (to keep the dummies from being blasted apart by
stronger spells). For those that couldn't use it, I had them
watching and was going to have them play defense against the
light attacks (in which I'd have the students use weaker attacks
so they don't seriously hurt each other).
However, while I was watching over the students, a friend of
mine, Rimuru Tempest, came to me in what seemed like a panic.
With Rimuru was his friend Souei, a Kijin who was almost like a
       top level ninja type person.
Rimuru: Hey, Kin! We got a problem! He says to me.
I turned to Rimuru. See, Rimuru is actually a human form slime
who became a demon lord, but we keep his power suppressed. Long
story there. Point is... if a demon lord is in a panic, it's not
       good.
       Me: What's going on?
Student: Mr. Tempest? What's happening? The student asks right
as I was making my comment.
Rimuru turned to me. Rimuru: It's Cassius's class! They were out
monster hunting and Azalur showed up with a dragon!
Me: Wait... What?! I said, not able to believe it. How could
Azalur get this far into the Enochian Kingdom without anyone
knowing it?! I said, I have no idea what happened, but I knew
       what needed to be done.
Rimuru: I brought Souei to handle your class. You and I are
being dispatched to deal with it.
I nodded and watched Souei walk over. He nodded to me and I
spread my demon wings. Rimuru summoned his own wings, and we
bolted into the sky. The shock-wave we created was enough to
knock everyone off their feet, but not strong enough to hurt
       anyway.
While we were flying towards the forest, I turned to look at
       Rimuru as we flew.
Me: Why did they send both of us? Isn't that a bit overkill? I
asked him, feeling like I didn't get the whole story.
Rimuru: I don't know... It does feel like we're going after a
fly with a bazooka. He says with a shrug.
I was a bit worried. This didn't add up. First, Azalur being in
the capital of the kingdom without anyone knowing is ludicrous.
Second, the school knows Rimuru and I are extremely strong.
Rimuru's not as strong as me, but he can handle a dragon. After
all, he's got the power of the storm dragon, Veldora, and he's a
demon lord... But the school doesn't know about the demon lord
part. Rimuru and I are the two most powerful people with the
exception of my wife and a few others in the kingdom. Rimuru and
I working together... Let's just say that it's a bit much. And
that's not counting our summoned beasts, Ranga (a tempest wolf
belonging to Rimuru) and Kovu (A divine wolf creature belonging
to me). Ranga is a storm wolf who gained power from Veldora
through Rimuru. Ranga isn't a summoned beast, per se, but he
acts similarly to Rimuru how Kovu acts for me. Kovu is known as
the Black Wolf Monarch. He's a divine beast with immense power,
and basically he became my own summoned beast (or at least, one
of them, I've actually got a few other divine beasts who I got
       to become my summoned beasts).
Rimuru and I have been friends awhile. He was kind of like me. A
monster in human form. Except he's a literal slime monster in
human form. Rimuru wasn't a demon lord when we met, that
happened while we were working together. Thankfully, I managed
to give him one of my power suppression rings and it suppresses
his demon power. If the school knew he was a demon lord, they
might not be so willing to accept him. They only accepted the
fact he was a slime because they thought it they could easily
kill Rimuru if they wanted (which I laugh at knowing Rimuru's
full power). These days, Rimuru and I spar together. He's the
closest thing to a challenge I've had since coming to this
world, and one of the few people who can actually hurt me when
       he uses his full power.
I should also explain... Cassius Corello is a werewolf. Yeah...
I know. This school has a lot of strange creatures working for
it. But that's because the school apparently wants students to
be exposed to creatures like us in a safe environment so they
learn as much as they can about us. Heck, a death wraith named
Kierran Black actually works as a teacher here too.. He teaches
stealth combat and darkness techniques to those who want to
learn the arts of stealth. He's actually a good friend of
       Souei's as well.
Anyway... Cassius Corello is a supernatural hunter, or was
before he became a teacher. He teaches supernatural hunting
techniques and how to fight monsters. Where those I teach become
mages of the military usually and Kierran's students join the
information gathering network (basically a group of ninjas that
work for the king directly as his information gatherers), the
people Cassius teaches usually go on to become knights of the
kingdom. Cassius goes by the name Wolf Mask because of the wolf
mask he wears in battle. He based it on legend from a few years
ago about monsters who swore a monster in a wolf mask attacked
them when they attacked humans. I haven't told Cassius yet that
the legend he based his identity off of was actually me... Yeah,
I used to wear a wolf mask and use my sword to cut down monsters
who attacked humans. I didn't realize monsters had made legends
about me until later. But that's a story for another time.
Anyway, with those explanations out of the way, back to the
story. Rimuru and I were fast so at the speeds we flew, we made
       it there pretty quick.
I didn't see Azalur there... Just the dragon. Cassius was
protecting the students, and doing pretty well about it. But he
was losing. It was a young dragon, the size of a castle. If it
were a full dragon, I doubt Cassius would still be alive since
older dragons can be the size of mountains... Or was that just
the half of Alteroth's body I fought?
Rimuru and I both jump in front, and I punch the dragon,
       knocking it back.
Wasting no time, Rimuru summoned one of his potions and healed
Cassius, while I stayed in front, ready to fight the dragon.
Me: Kovu! Ranga! Protect the students! I called out. Normally, I
wouldn't order Ranga around, but Rimuru and I usually have Kovu
and Ranga working together. And Ranga has sorta grown to respect
me. It's because I have the powers of a wolf myself, so he sees
me as something like a fellow ally wolf. Same for Kovu.
Ranga and Kovu: Understood! They said as they both come out of
their respective shadows. Ranga stays in Rimuru's shadow when
he's not doing anything, and Kovu was currently in my shadow.
Kovu is a black wolf with red eyes. He looks evil, but he's
actually a powerful divine beast with the powers of heaven. He
was known as the Black Wolf Monarch when I met him, but I gave
him a new name when he joined me. Ranga is a Tempest Wolf, a
       blue wolf with horns.
The two go over to the students who the students hide behind.
The dragon, having recovered from my punch, walked over,
destroying trees as it did, and roared at me. Or at least... It
sounded like a roar. It wasn't just a roar though. The dragon
was speaking Dragon Tongue, the language of the dragons.
Kovu: How DARE you insult my master! He says to the dragon,
       seeming to have understood it.
So... Here's what I heard when the dragon roared at me
specifically (Assuming I understood it correctly, because the
dragon language might be different in this world): I will tear
you apart! You smell of excrement and I will burn you away!
I looked over to Kovu. Me: Kovu, can you understand him?
Kovu: Of course, master! That stupid whelp cannot even use the
common tongue! He says to me. Common is the language spoken by
the people here. It's actually not English. Consider this story
a translated story from the language here I use these days.
Me: So... I just want to confirm if I understood him right...
Did he just say I smell like sh*t?I asked Kovu curiously.
Kovu: Simply? It seems that way, master... Along with him saying
he wants to burn you alive. He says, hesitating mostly likely
because he didn't want me think he was insulting me (which I
didn't think that, but I knew that's just what the dragon said).
Hold on, master... Did you understand him? He asks me, realizing
I understood what the dragon said.
Me: Yeah... I speak dragon. I said, trying not to give away that
I learned the dragon language from my friend Drake back in my
world. He was a bone dragon who was a sarcastic a*shole.
Anyway, back to the dragon thing, I was a bit insulted. I
started sniffing myself. I didn't smell bad, did I?
Me: Seriously? Do I smell? I asked the group. I use a special
scent masking substance to mask my scent. It's a way to keep
that rotten smell my death energy gives off... Which I thought I
had contained. No one else had complained about it.
Rimuru: Is that really what you should be focused on?! He says
       to me, a bit annoyed.
I just shrugged and turned to the dragon. Me: I really hope I'm
       not rusty...
I walked up to the dragon, letting out my own roar as I spoke in
dragon tongue. For simplicity, I'll just translate it for those
       of you at home.
Me: Why are you attacking our people? I have an agreement with
the Blue Dragon Monarch. Neither of us want bloodshed. I asked
in dragon tongue. Yeah... I met the leader of the dragons. I
named him Legatus, because he was just like another dragon I met
in my world. But he is not an official summoned beast, so he
doesn't go by that name to the other dragons.
Dragon: You fool... You humans are nothing but toys for our
amusement! I want to play with you before Azalur's army of death
       arrives and wipes you out.
Me: Wait... WHAT?! What army of death?! I said, somewhat
surprised. This was going to be one of those days... I could
       feel it.
       Kovu: This can't be good...
       Ranga: What is it, Kovu?
Rimuru: Yeah, what are they saying? He asks Kovu since Ranga and
Rimuru don't know how to speak dragon.
Kovu: Azalur apparently has an army? He says, trying just like I
was to figure out what the dragon meant.
Cassius, fully healed looks to Rimuru and me. Cassius: Wait...
Azalur was here. He said preparations were complete and went off
       somewhere. He says to us.
Hearing that, I realized what happened... Azalur must have had
people in the city... They must had the school send off me and
Rimuru so we couldn't defend the town. That meant I was going to
       have to end this fast.
Kindron: I'm sorry... I cannot hold back on you now. If what you
say is true, dragon... I'm afraid you have made a fatal mistake.
I said, summoning my sword of darkness, Yami. It's a new holy
sword I made in this world for myself. It uses my darkness power
and fuses it with holy power.
The dragon immediately breaths fire, which I easily absorb
       without any effort.
For a moment, while the fire surrounded me, I think I heard the
dragon laughing, but it definitely stopped when I absorbed all
       the flames without any effort.
Dragon: What?! How is that possible?! How can a human be immune
to fire?! It asked me in surprise.
Me: Because I'm not a human... I'm a demon. Fire just keeps me
warm when it's cold. I said to it as I got ready to attack. I
had to end this and get back to town.
In a flash, the fight was over. The dragon couldn't match my
speed, and before it realized what happened, I was standing
behind it having completed my slash attack on it. The dragon
didn't say anything, as it fell to the ground, and it's head
came clean off from where I had cut it through.
The students started cheering as the dragon collapsed, and I
       walked over to the group.
Me: We have to get back to the... I was saying, before we all
went dead silent. Even the students could feel the pressure of
the new dragon that had just touched down. It was an elder
dragon... And this one was way stronger than the one I had just
killed. The dragon looked at the dead dragon then at me,
noticing the blood still dripping from my blade.
Dragon: I see... I take it you're the one that my kin met his
end by? He says, looking at me. He was speaking common
thankfully, so we all could understand him.
Me: Yeah. I said simply. I knew I could beat the dragon... But
the landscape would have changed, and I'm pretty sure the kids
would not live to see the end of the fight if we fought
       seriously.
Dragon: I am sorry he caused you trouble... I was dispatched to
bring him back. The Blue Dragon Monarch did not authorize him to
come out this far. But Azalur showed up to us... Told us that we
should have our fun now before he destroys your kingdom. He
       explained.
I sighed. Great.. Me: Unfortunate... That was all I could say.
       Dragon: How so?
Me: If I'd have known you were coming to retrieve him, or I'd
known Azalur manipulated him... I wouldn't have killed him. If
you'd come a minute or so sooner, we could have avoided this. I
explained. I don't like taking lives. But if people under my
care are in danger, I don't hold back.
Dragon: Yes... Then it is unfortunate. Thankfully, the Blue
Dragon Monarch wants to keep the peace. Please do not take this
attack as a sign that the dragons were trying to declare war...
He says to me. The Blue Dragon Monarch probably told him to say
that, because I told him that if dragons attacked humans, it
would be war, and many dragons and humans would both die.
Me: It's fine. We can't control every situation. I just wish
you'd been a little faster getting here to retrieve this one.
Then maybe you wouldn't have to take back a corpse. I said to
       him.
Kovu: Tell the Blue Dragon Monarch he needs to have his dragons
treat my master with more respect!
I sighed a bit. I spoke before the dragon could, knowing what it
was going to say. Me: I don't care about respect. I said to both
the dragon and to Kovu. What I do care about is making sure
people don't have to die for no reason. Take your comrade and
go. I won't pursue any action. I need to check into this thing
       with Azalur anyway.
Dragon: Very well... He says as he takes the head of the dragon.
Use the body of the dragon if you wish. I will tell the Blue
Dragon Monarch what happened. I'm sure he will understand.
Me: I hope so. If he doesn't, tell him to call me, and I'll go
to your land and chat with him directly. I said to him.
Thankfully, the Blue Dragon Monarch is pretty reasonable. I just
hope he doesn't see the fact I killed one of his kin as a
       problem...
The dragon nods and then flies off.
Rimuru: Cool... So we have dragon parts? He says, looking at the
       dragon.
Cassius: Yes. Dragon hearts, dragon scales, and the dragon hide
       can probably all be used.
Me: You guys oversee the cleanup! I need to get back to town
now. I said to the group.
Rimuru: Let me go with you! If Azalur is here...
Me: No! I need you guys in the city. Something about this
doesn't add up. I need you guys to investigate the city for
suspicious people. And get the kids back to the school.
Rimuru: You can't handle a demon army alone, man! That's
suicide! He says to me. Rimuru is a strong person, but he
underestimates his allies and overestimates his enemies. It's a
       bad habit of his.
Me: I can and will. I'll be back before dinner. I said as I flew
       back into town.
I tried to reach my wife telepathically while I was flying
toward the town like a meteor... Yeah, I was booking it. I had a
       real bad feeling.
Me: Acillia! is anything going on in town? I asked her. I wasn't
sure what to ask specifically, since I wasn't sure what was
actually going on. I knew Azalur had to be in the area, but I
didn't know if anything else was happening.
Acillia: Are you not at the school?! They just declared an
emergency! Azalur is marching with an army of death knights
towards the town! He's about to reach the wall of the town! The
church was about to send me out to take care of them. She
       explains to me.
Me: Don't go. I'll handle it. Stay at the shop with Mia. I said
       to her.
Acillia: Alright... I'm going to have to report to the church
later to talk with the council. So you should probably come back
soon. She says to me. She knows I knew what that meant. Another
meeting she wasn't allowed to discuss, most likely.
I flew towards the gate. As I got in front of the gate, I saw
the military trying to fight off the death knights. And at the
front of the death knights, I saw Azalur, cutting down multiple
       soldiers at once.
And like a meteor, I crashed down in front of Azalur who jumped
       back.
The soldiers looked at me, not sure what was happening. At
least, the ones not in mortal deadlock with death knights.
As I stood up from my landing, I looked at the soldiers.
Me: Return to the city. I'll handle this. I said to the
soldiers. And almost immediately, the soldiers retreated. Most
of them were pretty worn down.
Azalur: You're going to face me and my army alone?! Just one
death knight can destroy 1000 soldiers! He says confidently.
Me: You have no idea... No idea how bad you're about to have it.
I said, smiling a bit. Using creatures of death against me? This
guy is brave or crazy or dumb.
Azalur: KILL HIM! He says as he points to me, ordering his death
knights to focus on me. Dumb, it is...
Me: Stop. I said to the death knights which released a wave of
sound to the death knights, using my Hades ability to command
the dead. See, I have authority over all death. And that
includes creatures of death, like the undead. And that's what a
death knight is, just a high level undead knight.
As I said "stop,' the knights all stopped.
Azalur: What?! Impossible! You listen to me, you worthless
knights! Kill HIM! He says, frustrated. The knights tried to
move toward me again, but they were having trouble moving
       because I still had authority.
Welp... Time to complete this little farce.
Me: Kneel. I said to the death knights. They all took an
immediate knee and kneeled to me. Now, don't get me wrong. I
don't misuse my authority to make things bow to me because I
want to be a big-shot. It's actually because I usually have to
give a few commands before I manage to fully take control of
some stronger undead types. So "kneel" usually is a good command
to test whether my influence over them has fully solidified
because if it hasn't, they won't kneel to me.
However, the death knights all kneeled, which meant they were
       under my control.
Azalur: Move! Move! MOVE! He says angrily, using his own death
knight skills to try and command the knights.
Me: I'm the reincarnation of Demon King Hades... Your authority
over these undead has been... revoked. I said to him with a
smile. Yeah, it's kind of fun to see bad guys panic when I do
something like this. I don't like picking on weak people, but
sometimes I get a kick out of bad guys getting their just
       deserts.
Azalur: So... That's how it's going to be? Then I will kill you
myself if that's what I must do! He says, readying his sword. He
starts to pulse with energy. What knight power should I use?
       Demon? No...
Me: Actually... If you want to do more damage, you should use
holy knight, or angelic knight power if you have it. Holy power
is my weakness. I said to him.
Azalur: Are you that confident that you think you can tell me
your weakness and still win? He says to me. Though the smug look
on my face probably told him all he needed to know.
Azalur: Fine... He starts glowing with angelic energy. Oh... So
he did have angel knight powers. That was just a shot in the
dark. Normally to use a power, he has to know how it works. And
the only angel knight I know of is my wife, whom Azalur has
never met or fought. So I'm surprised he actually had that.
Azalur attacks me with his blade. I don't even bring my blade
up, and instead let him try to strike me.
Surprisingly, his blade goes through my chest. I had my aura
pulsing out and his blade still managed to go through my chest.
Azalur stops as he saw he pierced my chest. Azalur: There's no
way... No way it ends that easily. He says as he pulls his blade
from my chest. He was cautious, and for good reason.
I smiled. I hadn't felt pain since the fight with Alteroth...
Azalur jumped back as he saw me smile. Azalur: He's... Smiling?
I chuckled as my wounds started to heal in blasts of dark
flames. Which turned into a full on laugh that sounded way more
sinister than I meant it to.
Azalur: I injured him... And he laughed. He says to himself. Are
you mad? Or just a glutton for pain? He asks me.
I smile a bit as look back at him. Me: You actually managed to
hurt me... You even cut through my aura.
Azalur: I did, yes. And that makes you happy? He says, now
       curious.
My eyes narrowed as I kept my happy smile. Yeah... I know I
probably looked super evil right now.
Me: Yeah... You've got me excited now! I said to him. I haven't
met anyone who can really damage me like what you did in a very
long time! I want to enjoy this fight! I said as I readied my
sword. While he did cut through my aura, my power is heavily
restrained. My power is only at a fifth of it's full capability.
And my aura is heavily suppressed. It's not that impressive that
he cut through it with holy power (which is my weakness), but
being able to fight someone in my suppressed state is great.
Azalur: Well then... I suppose I will have to beat you.
Something about you doesn't sit right with me. Ready yourself,
warrior! He says as he gets ready again, his black armor
starting to shine with white light as he activates his angelic
       knight abilities again.
I ready my sword and form death energy darkness around my sword.
We both clash, attacking each other. I blocked all his attacks,
and attacked him with what I could while restrained. We seemed
evenly matched to people who didn't know any better, but both
Azalur and I knew I was holding back. I wanted to enjoy this
fight as long as I could.
He keeps attacking me, using his knights skills, and tries to
take me out. However, each attack is met with a perfect block,
and I even parried his stronger attacks.
I then took the offensive and slashed through his sword and his
chest armor, leaving a slash on Azalur's chest. The slash
knocked him up into the air, and he lands on his back 10 feet
       away.
Azalur: He has... That much strength... While holding back? He
says weakly as he gets up. I couldn't see his face, but I had
the feeling he was giving me a weird look. However, not only was
his wound healed, but his armor had regenerated too.
Azalur: You're the one... I understand now. He says before
       disappearing.
Me: Wait... What? I said, just confused at what happened. Did...
he panic? Did he... just give up? No seriously. What the heck
       just happened?!
Meanwhile, the death knights were still there, still on one
knee. I looked at them, unsure of what to do. Me: I guess I
should let you guys go... I said before trying to figure out the
next command to give them. I wasn't sure how these worked, so i
wasn't sure if what I was going to say next was going to work
       like I was expecting.
Me: Rest. I said to the knights. Almost immediately, all the
knights dissolved, leaving behind their armors, and the bodies
completely dissolved, which pretty much ended all the knights.
You see... When I say "Rest" to an undead, it's like saying "go
back to being dead." So, it's basically releasing them from
whatever magics or powers that had controlled them and made them
       undead.
I just stood there for a few moments, trying to figure out what
happened. This guy really just showed up, got my hopes up for a
       good fight, and then bolted.
With that, I ended up finishing up. Time to head back to the
shop. I feel like I need to check up on things.
       Later
Acillia was at a church meeting of the Council. Basically the
council is like the big shots that run the church and dictate
most of what they believe religiously.
Council Member 1: IMPOSSIBLE! You're telling me he not only
killed a dragon, but stopped Azalur right after with no break in
       between?!
Council Member 2: The fact he defeated a dragon is impressive,
but defeating Azalur alone is nigh impossible for even another
       demon lord.
Acillia: I don't know what to tell you... That's the official
report. And I can tell you he called me after the fight with the
dragon. She says with a shrug.
Council Member 1: Then we must kill this "demon king" while we
still can! Have Acillia Lockheart kill the bastard in his sleep!
Council 3: I agree. This is too much. Azalur is powerful enough,
this Demon King must not be allowed to continue his charade as
       some school teacher!
Acillia: Isn't that a little overboard? She says to the two.
Council Leader: Yes... Ms. Lockheart is right... We cannot kill
him yet. He says calmly, shutting up the other council members
muttering to each other. We will continue to watch him. But we
must use the Demon King for as long as we can.
Council Member 4: But why?! He's a threat to us, an even bigger
threat than Azalur! He says to the leader.
Council Leader: The day will soon come... We will need him.
Azalur is the weakest of the demon lords that we know of. And
there's rumors in the demon realm... Rumors that HE is awake for
the first time in 500 years. He says grimly.
Council Member 1: You don't mean...
Council Member 3: It can't be.
That pretty much shut up the entire council.
Council Leader: Yes. The rumor is that Demon Dragon Lord
Valdrant, the only other person with the Demon King blessing has
awoken. And his awakening coinciding with Kindron Darkfire's
arrival into our kingdom and working against the demons... It's
not a coincidence. We will watch the Demon King.
Council Member 3: So you wish to put the two Demon Kings against
       each other?
Council Leader: That's right. And then when they both have
battled, Mrs. Lockheart can take out the winner. Cementing her
place as the new great hero of our kingdom. For now, we must use
the Demon King, and keep him in our kingdom, so that he can
protect our people. Only when he has exhausted his uses will we
       end the Demon King.
Acillia: It seems a little harsh to kill him.
Council Leader: If you don't like it, you are free to leave the
church. He says to Acillia, everyone including her knowing that
if she left, they would not only revoke her title but name her a
       blasphemer and order her executed.
Acillia: I didn't say that. As the holy saint, I have to look
for alternatives to killing, don't I... But that doesn't mean
I'm not willing to do what needs to be done to protect our
kingdom. She explains. Acillia just had an indifferent look ass
he talked. She was clearly used to this kind of talk and having
       to explain this.
Council Leader: Very well. I will let it go. You are right...
You are the best Holy Saint the church has had yet. The only one
who has understood what needs to be done. He says with a smile.
Acillia: Should I have my sister continue that other thing we
talked about? She asks the leader, changing the subject.
Church Leader: Yes. She has been most useful in that regard...
It seems that killing unbelievers is her calling in life.
Despite being a filthy demon blood (half breed demon/human), she
has proven very useful in killing our enemies. Finding the
Church of the Demons and wiping them out is her priority right
       now.
Acillia: Last I heard, she had tracked down Kalus Entei and
Kinyne Frost. It's only a matter of time before she finds
Alathen Kazara. So I doubt it will take much longer. She says
       with a shrug.
Church Leader: Very well... It's time to adjourn. If there's
nothing else, this meeting is over. He says, before everyone
acknowledges and gets up and leaves.
Acillia also gets up and leaves. As she walks through the town,
she moves to a nearby roof and stays out of sight, which was her
spot to look at the sunset. Currently, the sun was down, and the
moonlight shining, but Acillia was just looking over the land
       she could see.
Acillia: That new Monster Stealth skill of yours is amazing.
They didn't even suspect anything. She says with a chuckle.
Meanwhile, my dark flame rat climbed out of her jacket pocket
       and up on her shoulder.
       That's right... I'm still here.
Me: Yeah... I can't believe that worked. I gotta thank Yuji for
that skill. I didn't know it could work on my familiars too.
Acillia: Yeah. They didn't sense you at all. If I didn't know
you were hiding in my pocket, even I wouldn't have guessed. She
       says with a smile.
My dark flame rat looked out at the starry sky. Me: I guess that
makes this whole thing so much easier.
Acillia: So... What do you think I should do? Should we take
       them to the king now?
Me: Not yet. We need more evidence. Your sister is still trying
to get all the information we need. Don't worry. Between that
slaving incident and the Nine Hands gang incidents they're
connected to, it won't be long. We'll take them before the king
and with the evidence against them, they'll get justice... And
we'll do so without having to fight them.
Acillia just smiles. Acillia: I just hope you're right. I'd
prefer not to fight. That's more Alice's thing than mine.
Acillia says to me. She's the holy saint, and as part of that,
she has an obligation to seek non-violent ends to any conflict.
If she doesn't, then she risks losing her blessing. You see, the
holy saint is a blessing that is very strict. The fact that
Acillia can lie to anyone like she does to the church is already
impressive, considering most sins should weaken her. But she
does have a little demon power in her as well just like her
       sister.
So, I should explain for those that don't know. Alice Lockheart
is Acillia's twin sister. You see, Acillia and Alice are both
born of a human and born with the Demon God Lucifer, and the
archangel Mikeael. Basically, Acillia is the incarnation of
Mikeael's heritage, and Alice inherited Lucifer's power. Though
they both have both Mikeael and Lucifer's power, they just show
it differently. Alice is an assassin, and someone we've actually
been using to gather information we can use.
Acillia: What about Alathen? We can't just keep having Alice
avoid him forever. They're not gonna buy it forever.
Me: I know... I'm still thinking. We need a way to fake their
deaths so that the Seiji can get away from humans and live their
       own lives.
So... Again, I should explain. The Seiji in this world were said
to be demon lord worshipers and the church ordered them
executed. So now they're in hiding, with the Church being
inclined to think that the Seiji are setting up the Church of
the Demons or some stupid crap like that. Considering the fact
that Demon King Satan betrayed them, and every demon king after
has tried to off them, I don't know why they'd want to "serve
Satan" as the church puts it. It also doesn't help that Acillia
and I are pretty sure Alice and Alathen are having a fling
during this whole thing... Which I don't understand since Seiji
aren't supposed to be capable of love, but... well... Alice
isn't really capable of love either. Or at least, so she tells
       us.
Acillia: I agree. I hope they don't find out Kierran helped
       Alathen escape the capital.
Me: Me too. I said simply. Yeah, Kierran and Alathen were like
best friends. And when Alathen got branded, Kierran helped him
escape town while also pretending to be hunting him down with
       the church.
Me: Anyway... Come on home soon. We're getting hungry and it's
your turn to cook tonight. I said to her.
Acillia just laughs to herself. Acillia: Alright... Fine. I'm on
       my way back.
Acillia started making her way home.
Acillia has these meetings with the Church a lot. After she
married me, they approached her to basically give her a high
rank in the church, and use her to spy on me. Of course, I knew
it was going to happen because I knew the church was corrupt
(it's actually a pretty well known fact here in this world that
the Church has most of the real power in the human kingdoms, not
the actual kings), so I warned Acillia before taking a position
with the church. She told me immediately about how the church
was planning to kill me. Isekai trope number 5: The church is
always as evil as the bad guys... Which I kind of expected. But
thanks to a new skill I got, now I can monitor those meetings
with a familiar and keep my eye on those people. They won't
catch me off guard. I hope... Then again, Acillia is one of the
few people in this world who could actually kill me. Rimuru is
the only other person who can even come close at this point.
So, after a while, she soon makes it back to the shop, where we
had closed up for the day. I should probably mention this now.
So, I wasn't working the shop alone while Acillia was out. Mia
was there in the shop, and I was watching after Mia. Mia is a
little green haired elf girl. She's a kid, and she sits with me
       when I run the shop.
As she comes in, Mia jumps off her seat and runs over to
       Acillia.
Mia: Big sis! She says excitedly as she hugs Acillia, who hugs
       her back.
Acillia: Hey, kiddo! She says with a chuckle. Hungry?
Mia: Yeah. You were gone a while. She says to Acillia.
Acillia picks her up and carries her. She then looks to her.
Acillia: So, did you have fun while I was gone?
Mia looked at Acillia. Mia: I helped Papa sell an armor today.
She says confidently, almost having a sparkle in her eye.
I just chuckled. It was a custom order, and I let Mia negotiate
the price. The soldier I was doing the order for just went with
it and let Mia "sell" him the armor.
Acillia: Is that so? Well good job. She says with a smile as she
pats Mia on the head. She then sets Mia down and Mia came back
       over to me.
Oh right... I didn't explain. Mia calls me Papa and Acillia big
sis because we kind of adopted her. You see, the story with her
is complicated. I busted a big slave trade a while back rescuing
a bunch of girls who were being sold. You might be happy to know
that all the slave traders are done. Seven of them were killed
by me, one was publicly executed for his crimes, two are serving
life in prison, and one poor b*stard is in a wheel chair after I
crippled his heartless a*s. Mia was the only one we couldn't
send home. And the reason was simple: We don't know where the
Elf Village is. It moves around randomly in the forests, and
they refuse to interact with humans. I met an elf a while back,
but I don't think they know Mia is staying with me and Acillia
now. Until we can find the Elf Village and reunite her with her
mother, she had no where to stay. So Acillia and I adopted her
       and she stays with us.
Mia calls me Papa because she never had a father. But because
she did have a mother, she won't call Acillia mom. She only
calls her "Big Sis Acillia." Essentially, Acillia and I consider
and introduce Mia as our daughter. Yeah, it's only temporary
until we can get her back to her family, but we've done our best
to be the best substitutes for family we can be. Mia seems
pretty okay with us. She took to Acillia pretty quickly, and she
likes that I understand her simple talk. When she doesn't want
to talk, she will speak in two word sentences most of the time,
and since I've had a lot of people like that, I got good at
recognizing the words of people who don't even talk. Now, Mia
seems to really enjoy her time with us. Mia is also a spirit
user, so she can use the magic of spirits. She's actually pretty
strong for someone her age when it comes to her power.
Mia: Food time. She says simply to Acillia, saying she was
hungry, which sort of snapped me out of me remembering all the
stuff that happened with Mia when we met her.
Acillia: So... What would you like me to make for you and your
       papa? She says to Mia.
Mia: Papa's going to hate me for this... But... Vegetable stew.
       She says to Acillia.
Me: Aw come on... You're killing me, kid. I said jokingly. I pat
her head softly, mostly to show her I was just kidding since she
doesn't always understand humor. And when she smiled back at me,
my heart melted from cuteness... I just can't keep my composure
around her. She's adorable and I will protect her to the ends of
the earth. So yeah... The cuteness pretty much warmed my heart
and Acillia could tell given the laugh she just laughed.
Also, I should explain as well. Elves in this world don't eat
meat. They are strictly vegetables only. Most barely even care
for dairy. Some eat dairy, some don't. Mia... is picky.
Sometimes she likes milk or cheese on something, and other times
she doesn't. As for me, I'm pretty much the opposite. Meat,
cheese, potatoes, but I hate vegetables. I don't mind some
fruits, but I can't stand vegetables.
For those of you curious why we don't just make her vegetables
and me something with meat, well... We used to do that. Acillia
would make her vegetable stew for Mia, and spicy beef stew for
me (or sometimes she'd make spicy pork cutlets for me).
Why did we stop doing that? Well... We had a mishap.
Acillia had made me and Mia our respective stews. She brought
them to us, and you can probably guess where this is going...
She gave me my stew and gave Mia hers, or at least she thought.
Now, you might wonder why we didn't realize the stews weren't
mixed up. Well, in addition to having a hard time seeing the
ingredients in the sauce for the stew, Mia and I weren't paying
enough attention to the food since we just assumed Acillia would
hand us the right ones. Mia and I dived in immediately into the
stews without checking which would cost us. Now... This is
usually a funny moment to everyone else when they see how we
reacted. My face nearly imploded from me trying not to spit the
vegetables back out, and Mia's poor mouth burnt like a crisp
(she barely even cared about the meat, that's how hard her taste
buds burned). You see, Mia can't handle spicy foods. Elf tastes
are different. And when she took that bite of the spicy stew,
she had trouble eating for almost 4 days after that. Never
before has she ever drank a glass of milk with so little
complaint. She downed water for 3 days straight and could barely
eat because of how burnt up her taste buds were. Not literally,
but the spice sorta... stuck to her taste buds for longer than
it should have due to her physiology being slightly different.
So now, when Acillia makes stuff for Mia, she doesn't make
something different for me, because we both agreed we don't want
to risk putting Mia through something like that again. Poor girl
suffered for four days for Acillia's simple mistake. I love my
wife and all, but she is a bit of a blockhead at times (which
makes us perfect for each other since I'm a bit of a careless
idiot too). You will never understand the amount of "I'm sorry"s
and gifts Acillia had to give her to make her forget that
incident. So yeah... now I just suffer through it. And I only
request spicy beef stew when Mia is staying with friends so that
she won't have to see or deal with it.
Acillia: Alright... I'll get started right away. She says as she
goes and picks up Mia, taking her to the kitchen with her. I
worked on finishing up sales for the day, which was my normal
routine after the shop got closed.
So ended another day in my life. It may be hectic and there may
be a lot of evil things going on in the world, but I'm pretty
       happy with my life here.
       End of Kindron's story
       Elsewhere in the world.
Azalur: Damn... That man was strong... But there's no mistake.
He's definitely the other Demon King I've heard about.
Demon: Sir, shouldn't you just kill him?
Azalur: I'd love to. But I don't know that I'm strong enough.
       After all... The prophecy.
       Demon: What prophecy, sir?
Azalur: The one... That begins with my death. At the hands of
the demon king. He thinks for a moment. I thought it would be
Valdrant who would kill me, but now I can see... That man is the
one... The one by which I will meet my end. He says nervously.
Demon: Well... Speaking of which. Demon Dragon Lord Valdrant is
currently awake. We got word not too long ago that apparently
he's got some interest in the humans... Now that there is both a
Demon King, a Demon Lord, a Holy Saint, and a number of other
       strong beings-
Azalur: Valdrant is itching for a challenge. He says, finishing
       the demon's statement.
Demon: Yes. That's pretty much it.
Azalur: Damn. He says with a sigh.
Demon: What is the rest of the prophecy, sir? If you don't mind
       me asking?
Azalur: The two demon kings will collide... And the resulting
war will shape a new world as the old world is destroyed. I do
not know who will live or who will die, only that whoever lives
       will author a new world.
Demon: Two... Demon Kings? I can't imagine the power that would
       generate.
Azalur: If two Demon Kings collide, with that other one also
having a holy saint on his side... I don't know how our world
will survive. And that's not counting the demon lord slime's
power too. He says with a sigh. He then looks out of the window
of his castle, seeing a storm with lightning approaching. I feel
this is the start... The start of a dangerous chapter in the
history of our world. Who will author the new world? And who
will become a history lesson in the world after this? IF there
is anything left at all. He says as he ponders question after
       question in his head.
       End.
