Flashback RP: The Federation Joins the War

Nealy a year ago:
In Krakenport:
Crenno was going about his typical Tuesday rounds when a call
comes across his communicator. Crenno: Go for Commander Rubir.
Voice of Crew Member: "Commander, there is a Colonel Zelpharia
Tolodora who has arrived and requesting to speak with you on an
urgent matter."
Crenno: Tell Colonel Tolodora that I will meet with her in my
commander's office as soon as possible. Did she mention what the
urgent matter is?
Voice of Crew Member: "She says that it is Starfleet business
above my rank, sir."
Crenno: Then escort the Colonel to my office on the double. I'm
on my way right now. Crenno then looks to his second in command
and tells her to continue the weekly checks as he rushes to his
office. It takes Crenno a few minutes, but he gets to his office
not long after Zelpharia gets there. He walks in with a smile on
his face and walks over to pour himself a drink. Crenno: Hello,
Zelpharia. Nice to see you show up in Krakenport, but did your
visit have to be Starfleet business?
Zelpharia turns and looks to Crenno as he walks over to his
Earth style minibar. Zelpharia: I wish my visit didn't involve
Federation business, but the Order of the Dragon has gotten out
of hand. We detected and even had skirmishes much deeper within
Federation controlled space. She says as she takes a seat in
front of Crenno's desk from where she was admiring photos on
Crenno's office wall. Zelpharia: Because of this and the
possibilities of them gaining allies among our enemies, the IFP
and the CDF has given the orders to reveal our existences to
certain Earth organizations and governments. The meeting is with
certain global protection groups and governments and is to
happen here at Krakenport.
Crenno sighs a bit as he finishes pouring himself a whiskey sour
on the rocks while Zelpharia talks. He's still dealing with
upgrades throughout the old space port and the occasional
problems that comes with old space ports. Now he'll have to host
a meeting between select Earthians and Starfleet on top of that.
Crenno turns to his desk after placing the top back on his
whiskey bottle. Crenno: Why can't the Federation have this at
Terra Australis Port?
Zelpharia: Because Terra is not straight Starfleet. She's 100%
Celestian Democratic Federation owned and not too many Earthians
can be trusted knowing that Earth is home to a planet killing,
terraforming spaceship. At least that's how it's been deemed by
the CDF and Starfleet agreed. Zelpharia says as she looks to
Crenno. Zelpharia: Neither of us have a choice in this matter.
You're to represent Starfleet in this matter along with
Ambassador Khadh while I am to represent the CDF with Port
Commander Davlov of Terra Australis Port.
Crenno: Sounds like a typical set up these days in this
quadrant. He says as he sits at his desk and takes a sip of his
drink. Crenno: So who will be Earth's representatives?
Zelpharia: So far it will be General Pilgrim and General Diemos
of UNIT, Sir Integra Hellsing, and two Earth defense
contractors, Kendrix and Kindron Darkfire... at least for this
meeting. Russia, China, and Australia will have representatives
chosen and sent to meet the week after.
Crenno: Sounds like this will be an interesting meeting if it's
including Earth defense contractors.
Zelpharia: Most certainly especially with Kindron. He may get
distracted by how advanced Krakenport is.
Crenno: So he'll be like half the technological engineers who
start here.
Zelpharia: Pretty much so you may want to warn Minx so she
doesn't try to throw him in the brig for wandering into
Engineering by accident. She says with a bit of a laugh before
becoming serious again.
Crenno: So how are the Earthians getting to Krakenport? Do I
also have to warn Minx about one of their submarines? He asks
with a raised eyebrow and takes a sip of his drink.
Zelpharia: I've already warned Minx that UNIT is bringing the
group. She's not happy with docking an Earthian submarine but
prepared. She says with a smile.
Crenno: I bet she isn't happy but will deal with it. When will
they arrive?
Zelpharia: Perhaps in the next few minutes or so.
Crenno: In other words, we should already be on our way to the
docks. He says as he stands up while taking one more sip of his
drink.
Zelpharia: That's pretty much where we should be, Cren. She says
as she stands back up and walks towards the door.
Crenno: Then we better get down there before our guests arrive
so we're not coming off as rude. He says as he joins Zelpharia
at the door. They then walk out and head to a transport lift
heading to the docking area of the port.
On a small UNIT submarine:
Submarine Pilot: General Pilgrim, I am still not seeing anything
on sonar as of yet.
Pilgrim: That's because we're still around a bend or two from
the geographic location of the port. Pilgrim says with a bit of
exasperation as he co-pilots the submarine.
General Diemos: How is it that two civilians and Sir Integra
Hellsing are part of this excursion to have alliance talks with
aliens? He says from his seat next to Integra with Kendrix and
Kindron seated behind the two of them. What General Diemos fails
to understand that Integra and the Darkfires had been appointed
by the Queen as her representatives. General Diemos: Civilians
have never been involved in such delicate situations before.

Integra: You would be right, General. Normally, I wouldn't be
involved. But thanks to recent events, the Interdimensional
Order of the Dragon being one of them, we don't have much of a
choice but to get involved.

Kendrix: And because these talks would be boring without us. He
says jokingly in response to Deimos and Integra. I also don't
know how much I'm allowed to say about things... He says with a
shrug. Due to non-disclosures, he wasn't sure how much he was
allowed to talk about when it came to his defense contracts.
Kindron: I don't really know why I'm here either. He says
jokingly. I assume because Hellsing knows more about the Order
of the Dragon than anyone else right now.

Krakenport:
Crenno does a gentleman style side gesture after the lift's door
opens. Crenno: Ladies first, Colonel.
Zelpharia: Don't start that rank crap with me, Crenno. She says
with a bit of a sarcastic tone as she boards the lift.
Crenno: Better get use to it at least until I've gotten a feel
for the Earthians. He says as he boards afterwards and then sets
the lift destination.
Zelpharia: Oh good lord please no. It's bad enough that General
Pilgrim knows that I'm a top agent at Torchwood. I don't need
him knowing my rank within the CDF military. She says as the
lift door closes and it begins to move.
Crenno: Hard ass? He asks with curiosity.
Zelpharia: No, just a sarcastic bast@rd who annoys me really.
That gets a laugh from Crenno.
On the small UNIT submarine:
Pilgrim: There's also the fact that Sir Integra Hellsing and the
Darkfires know Agent Zelpharia Tolodora of the Torchwood
Institute, General Diemos. He says in response after the others
speak.
General Diemos: And why would a Queen's agent be so important.
He says in a brash, almost drill sergeant manner. General
Diemos: Why would she be important just like the civilian whose
not sure why he's here?
Pilgrim: I am so glad you asked, General. Pilgrim says in a true
sarcastic ass manner Pilgrim:You see Zelpharia is an alien ship
pilot who's perhaps as close to the Queen of England as Sir
Integra. She's also one of the people on this Federation side
helping to set this meeting up. Apparently she's got some kind
of rank and pull like general or an ambassador or a senator
among them. Hell, it'd be our luck that she's all three and
never told any of us. So if you got a problem with Earth
ambassador picks then take it up with her. That shuts General
Diemos up. Pilgrim then looks back to Integra, Kindron, and
Kendrix with a friendly smile. Pilgrim: Please excuse my
counterpart in UNIT. He tends to forget exactly what constitutes
as manners and let his jack@ss side show.

Krakenport:
Crenno chuckles a bit after Zelpharia's comment. Crenno: Fine
then how about Ambassador Tolodora or Chancellor? He teases as
he pulls up the list of dignitaries on the lift screen.
Zelpharia: No and no. You know I hate titles, but if one must be
used then I rather it be Colonel. She says with a bit of a head
shake to emphasize the word "no".
Crenno: Then we're finally agreed. Now real quick about these
representatives. I have a Captain Jack Harkness listed but no
Kindron Darkfire. Care to explain? He says with a mix of
curiosity and amusement.
Zelpharia: About that. Jack and the reliable members of
Torchwood had a bit of a temporal rift emergency and left
Vladimir. I am refuse to use Vladimir as Jack's stand in.. so
Ianto and I kinda of made Kindron an official member of
Torchwood authorized to fill in for our fearless leader. She
says clearly but a bit fast like someone who might get in an
argument later for her actions.
Crenno: Kinda?
Zelpharia: Okay.. Ianto and I made official paperwork and pocket
credentials. Kindron, in all since of the words, is an official
agent of the Torchwood Institute.
Crenno: Does he know that? Crenno asks with a curious smile and
raised eyebrow.
Zelpharia: Kindron will once he gets here, and I tell him along
with handing him his credentials and Jack's emergency answer cue
cards. Zelpharia says with a sheepish look and tone.
Crenno: Oh this will be a fun meeting after all. He says with a
laugh.
On the small UNIT submarine:
Pilgrim: As am I, Sir Integra. He then addresses Kindron.
Pilgrim: I appreciate a man with similar views on jerks as me.
Pilot: Hate to interrupt, General Pilgrim, but it appears that
Agent M is approaching from behind the TS603 at a high rate of
speed. He says after a brief check of the instruments.
Pilgrim: Good. About time he caught up. Pilgrim says as he looks
to the instruments and then out the front windows. Pilgrim: And
about time too because we're entering the Valley of the Kraken.
That's when a navigation alarm goes off indicating loss of
system functions. Another alarm goes off alerting of unusually
high electromagnetic readings. Pilgrim goes for the
communication and begins transmission. Pilgrim: This is
Barracuda 603 hailing Krakenport for permission to dock. I
repeat. This is Barracuda 603 hailing Krakenport for permission
to dock.
The undersea canyon and mountain range opens up to a vast,
almost carved sea floor valley. Old ship wrecks dating back the
Viking Era are strewn about the valley along with a couple of
WWII Era submarines. Oddly there is an area free of debris about
the size of a large city, but there's no structure, just open
sea floor. Pilot: I recommend passengers putting on seat belts
just in case the ride gets a bit rough. No telling what will
happen with such a high magnetic field.

Integra silently does what the pilot says and put on her
seatbelt. She then start looking at the wreckage of old ships
out of curiosity.

Kindron and Kendrix put their seatbelts on as well.
Kindron: I can put up a magnetic field with my alchemy to block
out the magnetic field if you guys want. He says as he puts on
his seatbelt.

In Krakenport:
Zelpharia: Oh indeed it should be though hopefully it goes
smoothly as well. I am hoping that Professor Song might be able
to arrive so Kindron won't have to be in an awkward position.
She says as the lift slows to a stop.
Crenno: Hopefully she'll be able to show up, but at least your
friend, Kindron, will have to deal with us and Trovon for the
most part. I'm not including the Antarctic base version of Zapp
Brannigan. We all know how Davlov is. He says as the lift door
opens and the two of them walk out of the lift.
Zelpharia: Don't keep reminding me that Davlov will be joining
us. We'll be lucky if Kendrix doesn't zap his ass into the
middle of the ocean.. and not at the surface either. She says as
they walk to the docking area where they are expecting the
others to arrive at.
Crenno: Great to hear! Now I know who to recruit to get Davlov
out of my port should he upset me.
Zelpharia: Please don't encourage Kendrix to do things like that
because it really doesn't take much. She says in a manner that
is a combination of serious and "it needs to happen" which gets
Crenno to chuckle.
On the small UNIT submarine:
Pilot: We may need you to do that, Mr. Darkfire. He says as he
begins to make adjustments for stronger currents. Pilot: But
let's wait to see what happens.
Meanwhile, Krakenport responds to Pilgrim's call to the port.
The response is clear and plays over the intercom of the
submarine. Ensign 1: "Barracuda 603, this is Krakenport. You
have been cleared and approved for docking. Please carefully
approach Dock Bay 6 and proceed with necessary docking
procedures. We have the signal buoys ready and active to lead
your ship. Welcome to Krakenport, Earthian representatives."
Pilgrim: Copy that, Krakenport. And thank you for the warm
welcome. Pilgrim says as he begins preparing to help guide the
sub in for docking.
Many of the ships look as if they sank during severe weather or
some kind of heavy damage. The two sunken WWII German Uboats
look like they literally sank each other in an apparent
misnavigation accident. As Pilgrim and Krakenport Ensign speak,
the alarms begin to decrease as Krakenport drops its defense
shield system. Krakenport appears like a ghost in shadows as the
cloaking defense system is disabled. Krakenport is shines like a
bright night time city and definitely almost as big as a small
city. Krakenport's highest point in the center peaks at a height
of 2717 feet while the base circumference appears to be at least
50 miles. As the cloaking defense is dropped, more shipwrecks
appear but these are not ships of Earth origin. Small space
fighters litter the valley along with a few larger attack crafts
and one actual warp capable star cruiser which looks like it
hull was ripped open by rocks. Green beacon lights shine
brightly in two short rows to lead the submarine into Docking
Bay 6. Several Klingon ships can be seen ported in other docking
areas as long with several merchant class ships from a variety
of races
Pilgrim: I'll be damned. That's how they've been hiding that
underwater ciry for so long. At least I hope I'm seeing this
right.
General Diemos is actually stunned silent as he looks out at the
very large space port.
