What appears to be a city is neat and clean and bustling with
Cybermen going about their daily work. The buildings are
windowless metal and concrete structures. Other types of hover
transports move from place to place. The transport that Gammon
and Michael are riding with their escort heads for a building
with satellite dishes and radio antennas on top of it. This
building is the only one with windows and appears to look like
Buckingham Palace. Cyberman: Then Cyber Controller will be most
interested. Our weapons and vehicles have been advanced by an
organic, but she knows nothing of cybernetics or
transdimensional travel technology. The Cyberman says as begins
slowing the transport as it slips through an old iron gate and
up to the palace's front door. The Cyberman brings the transport
to a halt and lands in front of the front doors which open on
their own with hydraulic system. Cyberman: Perhaps Cyber
Controller will replace his organic pet with you if he finds you
more useful. It says to Gammon as it finishes landing
procedures.

Gammon: Darn... I should have brought one of my upgraded
Cyberservants to show off. I probably should have brought the
Promethean tech I was working on too. He then shrugs. Oh well.
Neville can teleport them to me when I need him to. He then
turns and smiles at the comment about being the new pet. Your
Cyber controller will have to be pretty confident if he thinks
he can make me a pet. He says jokingly.

The Cyber Man piloting the hover transport seems to ignore
Gammon's comment about being made a pet. Instead it completes
the landing process as the hover transport powers down. Cyber
Man: Step carefully and walk forward to the door. An engineer
unit is awaiting you with two protection units. Common patrol
units like me are not allowed to go forward without prior
summoning. It says as it points to two giant steel doors. Two
larger Cyber Men with what appears to be a blaster cannon
attached for a weapon arms stand on either side of a smaller
more plain looking Cyber Man with an interchangeable tooling
hand instead of weapon arm. The group stands like statues
waiting for Gammon and Michael.

Michael and Gammon walk to the door as Cyberman instructs.
Gammon: Man... I'm gonna install some teleporters up in this
place or something for you guys to get around more easily. I
never realized how much I took beaming tech for granted. He says
jokingly.
Michael: Perhaps it would be best to save your plans for
upgrading until after we achieve an alliance. He says to Gammon
as he walks with Gammon to the door.

The Engineer Cyber Man looks to Gammon. Engineer 263: We have
advanced transportation beam technology but never tested on
sentient organics such as yourself. After several failed
attempts to transport bovine unshielded by metal like ourselves,
Cyber Controller declared not to use on organics with potential.
It then addresses Michael. Engineer 263: Greetings, most honored
cybernetic. Cyber Controller has been expecting you and your
organic companion. I am Engineer 263 and will escort to our
Creator. Please follow me. It turns as the two giant steel doors
open and begins to walk. If Gammon and Michael listen closely,
then they will hear that 263's digital voice is slightly higher
pitched with a slight, barely noticeable female tone.
The two hulking Cyber Men on either side of Engineer 263 just
turn to face each other but make no other moves.

Gammon: Well... I'll be happy to fix that for you. It shouldn't
be too hard since I have plenty of transportation technology
that works on both inorganics and organics. He says as he starts
following the engineer.
Michael just stays silent, and follows the group.

Engineer 263: That would be much appreciated if Cyber Controller
agrees. This unit is confident that Father will be pleased to
listen. He's quite interested in meeting both of you since you
arrived. Engineer 263 says to Gammon as they walk down the
sterilely clean steel hallway. He then addresses Michael.
Engineer 263: Might this unit inquire why such a brilliant
cybernetic would choose such an ugly organic form to take?

Gammon: You know... He says, looking at Michael as a thought
occurs to him. That gives me an idea... We could build you
Replicator Wraiths a battle suit made of replicator nanites by
converting some other tech. The fringe group Asgards in the
Pegasus Galaxy have battle tech suits that are pretty damn
tough. And some other races I could easily get a hold of nanite
tech that can make tech suits. That could be something to look
into. We could totally make you even more badass. He says to
Gammon, having an idea.
Michael thinks for a moment about the Cyberman's question before
responding to him, ignoring Gammon. Michael: Maybe it's because
I want the humans and other races to know they are the ones that
created what I am now... Maybe it's because I want to use the
image of organic beings to intimidate the mortal races by
turning their own loved ones against them and using the images
of their kind to freeze them in fear... Or it could just be that
I want to keep this form to believe I am still me, and fool
myself into thinking I am not a machine. Or it could be because
I didn't deem it necessary to accomplish our goals. I actually
do not know. I never truly thought much about changing my form,
or about creating a robot form. He says to the Cyberman.

Engineer 263: I do find the organic's ideas are interesting from
an engineering point of view but find it even more fascinating
that you never considered why. This unit admits that maintaining
such an ugly appearance must have great infiltration potential
and ponder if such a fleshy form can be made as a nanite
disguise for cybernetic lifeforms like myself. Engineer 263 says
in response to both Michael and Gammon as they approach another
set of steel doors. Engineer 263: Perhaps we may work on such a
project if talks go well with Father.
