Elena smiles with understanding when Alathen asks about the
risks of her family's technique. She can respect people having
concerns. Elena: The only real risk is minor and can be easily
taken care of. There's a chance of soul fragments being left
behind by the removed soul of the body one wishes to meld with.
These fragments don't usually affect those of supernatural
origins with strong minds but a very slight chance of some
personality quarks. Typically a death wraith or a soul
manipulator can just absorb those fragments for a snack. She
says to Alathen which relaxes Anna more. She then looks to Anna
and Keirran. Elena: Besides the benefits of power gain and a
form that one can change into that can't be detected as
shapeshifting out weigh such a minor risk. Plus then Keirran
will be better suited to relate and train his and Anna's
children.
That makes Anna's eyes go wide in confusion and surprise. She
knows that she's been showing possible symptoms of pregnancy,
but those symptoms can also be related to the flu that's been
going around too. Anna: Um... Keirran is only the stepfather of
my two children who are human, Celestian, and death wraith.
Elena: Actually I'm talking about the first of their kind
triplets that you are pregnant with.. Elena trails off as she
realizes that Anna doesn't know yet and gives an apologetic
smile for ruining any future surprise.
The surprise is evident on Keir's face who silently swears.
While Callahan and Karna just stare in disbelief, Rita just
gives a now pale Anna a sympathetic smile.

Kierran looks over at Anna, seeing her response, which
completely makes him forget about the conversation they were
having. He sighs and takes a five dollar bill out of his pocket
and hands it to Alathen. Kierran: Damn... Looks like you were
right. I really thought it was just the flu going around. He
says.
Alathen: Seiji senses. Not many things get past me. Alathen says
confidently and takes the five dollars and puts it in his
pocket. He then looks over to Anna, and back to Kierran.
Alathen: Well... Congrats on the kids, I guess.

Anna goes from surprise at the news of her pregnancy and the
fact that she's having triplets to giving Keirran and Alathen an
"are you kidding me" look as Keirran gives Alathen fives bucks.
Anna: You two seriously had a bet going on whether I'm pregnant
or not. I don't know which is worse the fact that you two were
betting and didn't include me or the fact that Alathen sensed it
and didn't say anything to me. Anna's tone of voice isn't mad
but smartass as she speaks to the two of them. She then gives
Alathen a smartass smile after his congratulations to her and
Keirran. Anna: Thank you and congratulations to you too, Uncle
Alathen. She says knowing that genetically the triplets are
Alathen's future nephews or nieces. Anna: Looks like your really
family now.
Elena chimes in with a bit of a wry smile. Elena: She is right.
Even if Keirran isn't your brother in terms of soul, he is still
your brother in body.
Keir raises his glass to Keirran and Anna. Keir: Congratulations
to the both of you. Looks like Anna's appointment tomorrow will
determine how far along instead of testing for the flu. He then
takes a sip of his drink. Keir: This also means that we're down
one hand when we go to confront Aeron.
Karna is trying to come to terms with everything that is going
on and speaks in a lone tone to Callahan. Karna: So our little
brother is in a seiji body that comes with a seiji brother,
married to a death wraith, and now having kids with death wraith
wife. We get his body back in some form, and we'll all still be
family with the seiji because of this. Am I getting this
basically right, Cal?
Callahan: You are correct. Callahan says calmly with a broad
grin on his face and then sips his iced tea.
Feeling better at getting the basics, Karna sighs a bit at the
thought of what might lie ahead once everyone gets past the
pregnancy. Karna: Well it could be worse I guess. At least it's
not like the time one of our sisters dated that priest of
Malice. He then thinks of something else. Karna: I just didn't
think it was possible for a seiji and a death wraith to have
kids together.
Callahan: And that comment right there is why I'm the doctor in
the family.

Alathen: I didn't think it was so hard to sense... Or I would
have told you. He says to Anna. He then points to Elena.
Apparently her and I were the only ones that could sense the
extra life force in you. Sort of surprising. He then turns to
Karna. Seiji can reproduce with any creature that humans can. We
just usually don't interact well with other species because most
species don't understand that we don't love like other mortal
creatures do. He then has a thought. I guess if I'm part of the
family... I should introduce you to my nieces. It's not that bad
I guess... Kierran has become more of a brother to me than Aeron
was.
Kierran: Wait... You have nieces? Why is this the first time
I've heard about this? He says to Alathen.
Alathen: Well, they're alternates. With those Crow Mercenaries
people. Elen and Elesis Kazara. They're related to one of my
siblings. Born from my sibling and a hell knight. They don't
spend too much time with me, but they are still part of our
family. He says, responding to Kierran.

Elena smiles when Alathen points to her and mentions how they
seem to be the only two who could sense the extra lifeforce in
Anna. Elena: I can even tell you gender.
Keir: Don't you be going and taking another job from me, Elena.
Keir says in a warning yet playful tone of voice to Elena which
makes her lightly laugh.
Karna does listen to Alathen with interest as he speaks about
how seiji can reproduce with any race a human can. Karna: Huh..
never was taught that at the academy. Of course, I wasn't raised
nor trained in this dimension unlike my two younger brothers.
Anna: So I'm not the only one with alternate universe kids
running around out of our little family circle! Apparently I
have an alternate daughter named Amber with the Crow Mercenaries
that my darling future son still has yet to introduce me to.
Then there's Zaz who's an alternate son of Keirran and me who's
hanging out at Black Sun with my other alternate son, Zandrick.
Anna says to Alathen with a smile after he talks about his
alternate nieces, Elen and Elesis. Anna: Sounds like we should
set up a little family dinner so everyone can meet and celebrate
the soon to be new additions... Anna then thinks of something
after her brain finally clicks on Elena's words about learning
the gender as her face changes to show her thoughts. Seiji are
creatures of anger and hatred while death wraith men have high
levels of testosterone creating issues with anger if not managed
correctly. Three girls would be a handful but three half death
wraith, half seiji boys could be a nightmare in terms of temper
tantrums. Another terrifying thought.. what if any of the three
babies develop their own Shadowstalker.

Kierran: I did meet that Zaz kid. He seems like a good kid. I
haven't the Crow Mercenaries yet, so I don't know much about
them. It does sound like we need to get everyone together. He
says. He didn't like the idea of another big event, but if it
was just the family, he hoped it would go well. I just wish I
knew where Tarich was so we could invite him... I still haven't
been able to track him down. I recently heard he'd moved to
London, but I haven't found anything about him yet.
Unbeknownst to Anna, Alathen was thinking something similar
about three death wraith/Seiji hybrids. However, after having a
similar thought about the fact the kids might very well end up
with demonic hollow halves, another thought occurs to him.
Alathen: I just realized something. Wasn't Drakath's goal to
evolve death wraiths? Aeron took a death wraith body so he could
gain the powers of a death wraith, which I assume that his goal
is similar to create a death wraith hybrid that will lead to a
new evolution of death wraith. If he finds out about Anna's
children, it is possible he might try to capture them to analyze
them if they're perfect death wraith/Seiji hybrids. Them
possibly developing demonic hollow sides might also prove to be
a benefit to Aeron if he does want to capture them. So we should
probably keep Aeron from finding out about Anna's new children.
Kierran: Wait... Demonic hollow sides? Is that a thing?
Alathen: Just like that Zandrick kid has a hollow side, except
these kids hollow sides would have demonic power. One of the
Seiji families does have demonic hollow power, and I imagine it
would work similarly for your children. They were created with
demonic corruption fused with hollow energy and that Seiji
family specializes in demon hollow power. I can't imagine it
would be that different. That, and I'm sure you remember that my
family's specialty is dragon energy. Which means you may have
some dragon power in the kids as well, though it probably won't
awaken without eating a few dragon hearts to grant specific
elemental types. Then may require dragon stones to fully empower
them with whatever extra abilities they may want. He explains.
Eating dragon hearts was a taboo among dragons, and known that
at least some dragon types that their hearts could grant
abilities if eaten by other races.

Elena: There is another problem that will be more of a
behavioral issue for Anna and Keirran and another possible
reason why this Aeron would want study them is the level of rage
the children will have. Elena becomes more serious after hearing
what Alathen said about the possibility of Aeron kidnapping the
children to study and why.
Callahan: That's only if the children are male. Female hybrids
would have less anger issues, and Anna has a 50/50 chance.
Callahan says to Elena has he doesn't pay attention to the
keywords of "will have."
Anna on the other hand did pay attention to it. Like Alathen
hadn't already boosted Anna's nerves enough, Elena goes and
gives a hint at gender. Anna places her forehead in her hand to
try to hide the stress and worry starting to build. Anna: For
the love of... Elena, are you suggesting that I'm having triplet
boys?
Elena: Not suggesting. I am stating in an indirect manner.
Anna: Great... another good reason why we shouldn't let Aeron
catch wind of my pregnancy. We're having boys. Anna says with an
"Oh great" gesture.
Karna: That's gonna make the "terrible twos" take a whole new
level of meaning. Karna says to try and lighten the mood some
for Anna.

Alathen: Death wraith male anger issues, combined with a Seiji's
demonic anger and hatred abilities? These kids are gonna be
strong as hell... No pun intended. He says, not changing his
serious demeanor even when making an unintentional pun. Add on
to that, hollows are creatures of negative emotions, so you're
going to have one hell of a time trying to handle three of them.
I'd say one would be difficult, but three children. You're going
to need to teach them at a very early age to control and
internalize their anger and hatred, or their Seiji power will
run out of control. It took Kierran a few years to fully learn
to internalize his anger, and he still has trouble with it. And
with these kids that would be very bad for a lot of reasons. He
says, thinking about how death wraith anger could feed a Seiji's
ability to get stronger off anger and hatred. But, if these kids
are properly trained, they could probably surpass us all as they
get older.
Keirran just sighs and finds a spot to sit down. Kierran knew
one of his biggest character flaws was that he put of important
decisions in favor of getting jobs done first and not wanting to
make major decisions until the job was done. However, since
coming back to the living world, he had been trying to live more
in the moment, and not push off major decisions anymore. But
now, the consequences of his actions of not waiting till he got
his body back to start a relationship with Anna was starting to
weigh on him. He didn't regret leaving his old life behind and
trying to focus on Anna, but he was wondering if the decision to
restart his relationship with Anna before he got his body back
was the right one. A million thoughts were going through
Kierran's mind at the moment. Ever since Zaz appeared, Kierran
had been wondering what it would be like to be father of his own
kids (rather than just being a step father to Delsin's kids),
and now they were going to be born with possible enemies trying
to get a hold of them.

Keir: Before a training regiment is decided for these boys, how
about we wait to see if they will be a balanced hybrids or if
they will take to one parent's race more than the other. Take
little Donny and Cheyenne for example. Donny and his abilities
are showing signs of taking after Delsin more than Anna while
Cheyenne and her abilities are showing signs of taking after
Anna. Keir says as he takes a sip of his drink in a calm voice.
Keir: If the boys have a typical death wraith natural chemical
imbalance plus seji traits, then keeping three boys hitting
puberty in the Living Realm on a strict combat training and
apathy training will be difficult. I have experience in this one
after raising over 200 hybrid children and Callahan who I
adopted. There's also a chance that they could develop a power
extreme because they will be hybrids. For example, I have a few
human hybrid children who developed primordial darkness or light
manipulation control by 5 years old and unique wraith forms with
unique abilities by puberty. So pretty much these boys
definitely have every chance of living up to and being the
embodiment of the old phrase "that it takes a village to raise a
child." Keir says with a sigh as he recalls all the hybrid
children of his that he's raised including a few from one night
stand dates with demonic women like succubi.
Anna listens to Alathen and Keir and then sighs as she thinks
about not just Aeron as a possibility of someone coming after
the triplets and Anna. Delsin and her have had their share of
fun with enemies who've tried to kidnap Donny and Cheyenne in
the past. You don't live on Earth doing what Anna has in the
past and not make a few enemies, but one enemy that she thinks
of Keirran would know as well. Anna: Listen. No matter what. The
boys will have plenty of help to learn control. When it comes to
demonic hollow sides, then I can handle the training along with
a couple of uncommon allies. She says in a very serious voice.
Anna: Shadowstalker and I were manipulated and altered by a
primordial demon in which he made her more of a demonic hollow
than a normal hollow so I had to learn more refined vizored
control. That's made me a target of both arrancar and vizoreds
who live on Earth in the past. I'm right now focused on those
who might want to take the triplets because Aeron won't be the
only one. I have enemies too that Delsin and I have dealt with
in the past trying to get the kids for one reason or another,
and at least one of them Keirran also knows because Keirran was
the one who captured this vizored for his exile tribunal before
the Council. She says as she walks over and places a comforting
hand on Keirran's shoulder. She could tell that he's feeling
depressed but not sure how to reassure him. She just knows that
she has no regrets about being with Keirran and has long since
come to terms that they might not get his body back. She has
never cared about his appearance, or race in this case, because
its his soul and personality that she's fall in love with all
over again. She just wishes that she could relieve his stress
and doubts instead of adding to them. Anna: Cermandin Rarroch
has come after me multiple times in the past and even came after
me when I was pregnant with Cheyenne... and his goals aren't too
different than Aeron's goals except his involves evolving
arrancars along with death wraiths.

Alathen: What is it with people coming after you while you're
pregnant? He says sarcastically to Anna after hearing that
people came after her when she was pregnant with Donny and
Cheyenne.
Kierran: We can worry about training the kids after they're
born... For now, we need to make sure both her and the children
are protected. We need to keep Aeron and any other of our
enemies in the dark as long as possible. He looks to Anna. I'm
starting to think it's time we talk to that alternate Drakath at
Hellsing. I'm starting to think we're going to need the extra
help, as much as I wish we could avoid it. I don't know if I'll
be enough to protect you as things stand right now. He says to
Anna, thinking about all the battles to come.
